Yelp1Now, I will give the benefit of the doubt and blame the technician. I called Consolidated to get a routine check on my parents garage door. They installed the door. Technician came out. He was very nice. Gave me the speech on the door is just fine and its one of the older models, so make sure I keep an eye on rollers and lube them well every year. Asked him again if it looked ok, he said looks just fine and they didn't really need the maintenance. He continued to say but i will check everything and make sure everything is good. He was gone in less than 20 minutes. I felt good and parents were happy to just know it was ok. Today, being he was out here less than 4 weeks ago.. Look what happens... BOOM! spring broke. I called and made appointment and Sarah explained its pretty much not there fault. I further investigated the door and this is what I found! Now, their door was fine before i called This was suppose to be a routine check up. It was quite expensive for something that "was in good shape". I have pictures to show and hopefully I can post on here. I tried to do it quietly and write to them, but funny thing is their email link on website didn't work. Soooooo, i will post it here. I never complain about anything much unless its horrible. I just feel this was poor service or milking my retired parents. Either way, not impressed and will have them come out to fix it, but I will never call them again.

Yelp5We first met with Lou at the showroom. He was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He offered many options and advice. He suggested we go to the website....you can actually see your house with the door you choose. He also gave us samples of the door colors. On our second visit we decided to change our original plan from an almond color door to a wood look door. Again he took time with us so we'd be comfortable with our decision. Today Troy came to install even quicker than what they said. Troy also was very professional and friendly. He definitely knew what he was doing. We absolutely love our door and are so happy we made the change to the wood look. It looks great with the color tones in the stonework on our house!

Yelp5This company is AAA. I found them on Yelp and was impressed by their reviews. This company was one of the best I have ever worked with. I filled out their online service request and there was a response when I got up in the morning. They said they could be out that day. I called the office and they gave me a service window plus they called when the service technician was on the way. The tech was friendly and professional and replaced two springs and lubed my garage door in about an hour. The price was the best part, very reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp5Good coordination with the office. They called when he started over from his completed job nearby. Matt was very personable and thorough. Routine maintenance for him and garage doors are operating quieter and he fastened down the lights so they would not be bumped out of alignment. Very happy with the service.

Yelp5Great service! They came out the same day that I called them to replace broken springs. The crew left my garage clean and the final cost was less than originally quoted. I will continue to recommend them to anyone.

Yelp1the owner was rude, and not a nice guy . i tried twice to get info on a clopay door, and both times the owner and his assistant had trouble working the clopay door website, to help me pick out a design...there are plenty of other good garage shops in st charles, i just dont need his attitude

Yelp5Very impressed with service. My garage door spring broke at 3:30 on Thursday afternoon. By 8:30 Friday morning it was fixed and additional service was done to the door. I did all the communications through their web site and email... it worked great. Prompt and professional. Price was reasonable.

Yelp5My opener had been on its last legs for a while and broke last night. First thing this morning I went online looking for somebody local to fix it, and found these guys in Batavia. They had an online service request form, and since it was pretty early, and I didn't think they'd be there to answer the phone, I filled in the online form. In about 20 minutes I had an email from Lou T at Consolidated, with prices on a couple of options, and an offer to get it done TODAY. I called and chatted about the choices, and chose one, and he set up an approximate time for installation. As the hour approached, Lou called me again to tell me where the service man was, and how much longer it would be. When he arrived, the repair man was clean and polite and got right to work. He accomplished everything in a very workmanlike manner, taking all of the old opener, the boxes and wires with him, leaving me with a clean garage and a brand new opener, exactly as agreed, and he adjusted the springs on the door too. I couldn't be happier!

Yelp5Won a garage door opener, Liftmaster 8550, at the St. Charles home show in September. I am the world's biggest SKEPTIC for "free" stuff. The options were to pick up the opener myself with no strings attached, or have it professionally installed for $125. I did my research for the pricing of the opener, installation, and extra components; Consolidated didn't overly inflate the pricing, so of course, I opted for the installation and also for an extra remote and extra exterior touch pad for a few extra bucks. From start to finish, this contractor was professional. Mike Matuszek, the owner, answered ALL my questions/concerns regarding compatibility, pricing, any extra costs, everything. The appointment process was painless, the technician (awesome, dedicated, polite, young man) called ahead to say he was on the way and asked if he could start early. The installation was flawless without any pressure to spend more money on parts, components, etc. Plus, I super-LOVE this quiet door opener with the latest security technology, and the automatic light sensor. Highly recommended garage door contractor! Hope your experience with them is as STELLAR as mine.
