Buyer beware! International Door installed my original garage door two years ago. It is 12 feet wide. Garaga, the door manufacturer, requires cross bracing for doors 12 feet 2 inches wide or wider, but not for the 12 foot wide door I had installed. International Door never so much as mentioned that I should consider a cross brace for my door to prevent exactly what happened. The wind blew the door in. That $3,000.00 door lasted just two years. International Door wanted $2200.00 to repair the door they installed two years ago. $1300 of their quote was labor. Brisk Doors did an outstanding professional job for just $1300. International Door would have charged me $650 for each hours worth of labor had I accepted their quote. When I asked for a quote to repair the door that they charged me $3,000.00 to buy and install, International Door chose to exploit an existing customer to make an unreasonable profit rather than stand by the door they recommended and installed. The entire repair took less than 3 hours with about $500 in parts. I highly recommend Brisk Doors in Gorham over International Door in Lewiston! Dave Close is the owner. He charged me $900 less than the insulting quote given by International Door in Lewiston.
