Had an employee come out for an estimate for repair work. First words out of the door guy's mouth - "someone didn't install the spring correctly." I informed them that they were the ones who installed the spring 4 months ago. I asked if there was any type of service performance guarantee and i was told that they only guarantee their work for 30 days. The rep took info from the garage door and told me that they would call with an estimate in about a week (the rep wasn't sure if he could repair my garage door at all.) The rep was all too eager to sell me a new door, though - for about $1100. Meanwhile, i had two of the door guys competitors come out for an estimate, both competitors said they could fix my garage door, both stated that they could fix it in a similar manner, and it would cost less that $150. Called the door guys and was told that their estimate of $1100 for a new door stands and that they would not cover anything for installing my spring incorrectly. $1100 seems too big an investment for an organization that only guarantees their work for 30 days. Had their competitor fix my door, works great, charged me less that $150, and stated that if their were any problems, he would take care of it. Never did hear from the door guys as to whether or not they could actually fix my door. Save yourself some time, money and the hassle of dealing with incompetence - go with one of their competitors.

Had them out to check out installing a large garage door for me The tech was unable to install the door. Which was fine I understood that it needed some more framing work he looked at my other door that I want to replace mine too and was talking to him about that He adjusted it so it would work a little bit easier which in my opinion was unnecessary due to it being replaced soon with a larger door my bill was $150 which I think was a little outrageous so I am going to cancel the install of my other door now

I called them in the morning and Shaun was here in about an hour. He pointed out all of the repairs needed (and there were LOTS) and did them quickly, efficiently and cheerfully. GREAT JOB! The price may seem high but if I listed ALL the work/replacements done, you would think it was OK! Services Rendered: Just about everything for garage doors had to be done here. We moved into a home and found lots of problems with the doors, including a neighbor who apparently had the same code, thus our garage door kept opening and closing whenever the neighbors came or went.

Phil called ahead to tell me when he would be at my house. He was polite and helpful. He suggested installing a surge protector and replacing the rollers since the bearings were showing wear. I declined on both. He left me a can of the lubricant that he used on the hinges and rails. He never pressured me on anything. When he presented the bill for $127.08, I was surprised to say the least. I asked why and he said the SERVICE CALL was $69.95 only! I said that was not explained to me well and he apologized. Looking back, I either didn't ask enough questions, but now I wish they had explained the contract more fully to me. It looks like I could have had the $69,95 do double duty for me, but am not sure since both the lady and Phil explained it only briefly. Services Rendered: I wanted general, preventive maintenance on my double garage door. When I called, the girl suggested I purchase a contract for $69.95 and that would entitle me to a phone call every year to see if I was having problems, I think. I declined that and said I just wanted general maintenance and asked how much. $69.95 was the service call. She failed to explain further that any work that was done, other than showing up, was additional.

I felt like I was lied to regarding the glass when I was trying to be honest about the glass being cracked. Should have kept my mouth shut. Services Rendered: Called them out because my cable broke on the door, had to come back the next dayto replace because they were a special size. When he put the door down the glass broke. He came back out the next day with the cables and he told me the rollers should be replaced so I had them replaced. He had a piece of glass with him and it did not fit. I told home since the glass was cracked I would split the cost of the glass. He said he would order the glass and come back out to replace it. I called to follow up on the glass and was told the I was going take care it it. I told the company that is not was said. I agreed to split the cost of the glass and I will put it in.

Fantastic service! Mike was our service provider and his customer service is superb. Really knows his garage doors! Did a top-down review of our 12-year old Raynor door, showed us some of the wear parts, no "hard-sell", very factual in his description and discussion; springs will probably need replacing soon, but not today - outlined exactly what we should do in the event the springs go bad. We bought this door from the Door Guys and we strongly recommend using their services. Awesome central Ohio company! Classic, wonderful customer service! A breath of fresh air! Services Rendered: Periodic maintenance & inspection; replaced rollers, greased necessary bearings, installed a surge protector, repaired sticky remote, cleaned.

I went to leave work and my garage door didn't work. It was too early to call, so I went to The Door Guys website and filled out information for the same day service. Approximately 45 minutes later a representative called and said they would have someone out to check out our door sometime that same day. They came by noon to repair the springs on the garage door opener. They also made suggestions for other repairs we should consider in the near future, such as the rollers are getting worn. I would highly recommend this company as they were very fast, reliable, and seemed reasonable. Services Rendered: Replaced the springs on our garage door.

My garage door opener, on the main garage, started to act weird... opening on it's own, not opening with handheld remotes and closing on the car when pulling out. Then after three weeks of not working with handheld remotes, the remotes started to work one at a time again. I spoke to the company that made the garage door opener, and the unit was out of warranty in less than 3 years and they wanted over half the cost of a new garage door opener for repair parts, that maybe would make the opener work. I called Tim of The Door Guys and an appointment was set up. We have used The Door Guys in the past for all of our garage door problems and they have been fantastic. Like before they did not let us down. The installer called first to tell us he was on his way, he arrived on time, polite and friendly he assessed the situation and went right to work. The installer knew his stuff and within an hour had changed out the opener with a new opener, programed all of my handheld remote and internal car remotes and went over the new openers functions, dos and don'ts. Everything was professionally done and cleaned up before he left. Services Rendered: Replaced garage door opener

What a pleasure it is to deal with a good old fashion company that works hard to please the customer and does quality workmanship. My garage door shut one time a few months back and I did not stop...oops, nice dent! Then recently the garage door fell when the vehicle was half way in the door. The bottom panel became damage beyond repair, but the rest of the door was in good condition. I called Tim, The Door Guys, and within minutes he had a quote to me by email, I accepted and he placed the order for the door. Tim kept in contact with me and when the panel came in, the installer was sent out. The installer advised me by phone when he would arrive and he arrived on time. The installer was polite and professional. He knew his job and concentrated on the details of the installation. I thought all the installer had to do was throw the panel up and off he would go. The installer went beyond putting up the door, he lubricated all the moving parts, adjusted the springs and the cables and made sure all the nuts were tight on the rest of the door. He then clean up all the material and packing. It is nice to see there are companies out there like these guys...... Services Rendered: The company needed to order and then replace a damaged panel on double wide garage door. They also needed to adjust the tension on the springs.

The sale persons was a pleasure to work with. They came out and showed me what was available and what I could do with the barn and barn door. I had questions on which door unit to use in this area and what would work. They were honest and did not try to con me with what they had in stock, but they sold me on what I needed to accomplish the task at hand. After several weeks of thinking about what company to use, I called The Door Guys back and they started ordering in the equipment and material needed to accomplish the job. The day of the job, things started off rough for the installers accidently picked up the wrong framing material to complete the framing process. I spoke to the installer and the sales person and right away the installer stopped what he was doing and went out and got the right material. This is not an easy task for we live way out in the country, away from the lumber stores and it added a couple hours to the job, but without complaints the installer did his job and did it right. After the proper framing material was on the job-site everything went smooth and the installers did a wonderful and professional job. At first, before I even called The Door Guys, I kind of knew what I wanted, but did not know if it could be accomplished with a barn. The Door Guys exceeded my expectations of what I wanted and I am thrilled with the final product. They were at all time professional and the quality of their workmanship showed in the final product. Services Rendered: I had the barn door removed from the barn, the door way framed for a new overhead door, and an overhead garage door and electric opener put in the barn door's place.

The service went well. Called on a Tuesday to schedule the "Spring Cleaning" tune-up which I saw advertised in a coupon book. Asked for an explanation of what the service would cover, employees over the phone were friendly and helpful. Scheduled the service for that coming Friday...the best time estimate I could get was "in the morning" which was fine, as I would be home all day. The technician ended up arriving around 2pm, which while not quite "morning" was acceptable. Service call lasted about 25 minutes. Technician didn't mind me watching, explained everything that he did and went over the various components of our door and left a bottle of spray lubricant for our future use. Everything went quickly and smoothly...he even replaced the lightbulb in the opener while we was up on the ladder. Services Rendered: Performed the "Spring Cleaning" garage door tune-up.
