Our experience with American Garage Door, LLC was AMAZING. When I called the office, the manager was extremely knowledgeable, professional and prompt. I had an estimate within minutes of our initial conversation. She was able to diagnose our problem immediately and offered a technician to come out the same day. The technician was courteous, professional and went above and beyond to fix our issue. We were extremely pleased and impressed with the service from beginning to end. I highly recommend this company!!!

Sloppy work. Called out to fix a garage door that they installed, only screwed in support bar with half of the required screws, resulting in very noisy operation. Lazy, substandard work.

Great knowledge of this industry, they offer top-of-the-line down to basic garage doors. Helpful & friendly office, knowledgeable installers, really great price. Happy to have found them. And now I know why my house looks crooked: it is! The new doors are straight, unlike the old ones.

Do not use this company. I hired them in March to service my garage door. Since then a large bolt holding the door together almost came out & we had to repair it (didn't ask them to come back then but should have), the garage door light doesn't work & most recently, the garage came down on my car bumper & gouged out a long scratch. So I called the proprietor yesterday to tell her about all this & ask that the technician be sent back out. I was met with rudeness & arguments. I was told that I was wrong & her technician (happens to be her son) had done everything correctly & that the garage door coming down on my car was normal! Unreal. She finally reluctantly said he could come back out but that I'd have to pay the $132 service call fee again! Zero customer service along with incompetence.

We purchased our garage door from them and had them install it when we built our house 5 years ago. Just the other day, the metal hinge completely broke and pulled away from the door, trapping my car in the garage. We called another company to see about getting it fixed and were told that it wasn't installed properly and additional brackets were NOT placed on each hinge to help raise the door, which is why just 5 years later, it's broken. You spend so much on a door, only to have to spend it again a few years later when they should last around 18 years. When we called American Garage Door, we were told there was a $120 fee just to have them come look at the issue. The girl on the phone said she would have the owner come look at it and when she placed me on hold to tell him, he refused and said only for $120. You should stand by your work and truly care, like your website and Facebook states, instead of only caring about money.

Couldn't be happier. This company was super professional. They spent a lot of time answering my thousand questions so I could make a decision about whether to repair or replace my garage door motor. I ultimately decided to replace to get a quieter belt with Wifi features and battery back up. A lot of the decision revolved around should I throw good money after bad. They never pressured me either way giving me the information I needed to decide. I strongly recommend this company. Installation was professional. Another plus is they are local. Very impressed!!

Installer was supposed to be here 9:00-11:00. He showed up at 1:00. He left at 6:30. Left some contents of my garage in the driveway. Broken glass, screws and nails in the driveway. Garage doors inoperable because he didn't know how to program them to my openers. Services Rendered: Replace garage doors.

These people are terrific! We have some older doors that are getting to the point where things are wearing out. American garage door always jumps on the service calls and usually gets them done that day. Prices are very reasonable. I can't think of a single way that they could give me better service than they have. Absolutely fantastic!

The owner has been in this business for 20 years and they have a beautiful new showroom - the only one of its kind in greater New Orleans. Great service and nice people, a great family owned business who takes care of their customers with a diverse selection for all price ranges. They fixed the opener on the gate of my wrought iron fence too.

Sales people, site inspector, and installation workers were all friendly and professional. Doors arrived on time, installation was completed quickly. New doors are fantastic. Services Rendered: Removed both old garage doors and automatic openers. Replaced with new, insulated garage doors and one wall mount opener.

After the first contact at there store. I had to call back because didn't hear from them. Left message. They called to install garage door but I couldn't make that date so was told they would call the next week. They never call just showed up and asked why i wasn't there! Had to leave work to show up. Was told all flashing around door was to be replaced, but installers said that was not trure. They instated the door but smoked inside my garage! Left butts by the garage door then after I paid and they left, I found a crack in the flashing around the door. they had to have seen this because they hammered over cement which broke it!. I am going to call to complain about the work but this is the first time I have used Angies List and so far its just as bad as picking someting out of the phonebook! Services Rendered: Replaced an old garage door with a new insulated door.

Did not do anything! I called for service and got an answering machine. Left my name and number. Never received a call-back. Perhaps my mistake was indicating the level of service I required...replacement of the garage door bottom seal. The business address is a home in a nearby residential subdivision. I guess the company is working out of a home office. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I located the distributor for my brand of garage door (can't remember the brand name) and they suggested a small one-man operation to call. He doesn't advertise, because his clients do it for him. I called, left my name and number and had a call-back within 2 hours. Service was timely done and price was fair. Services Rendered: Did not do anything! I called for service and got an answering machine. Left my name and number. Never received a call-back.

We contacted the American Garage at approximately 8:30 this morning (a Saturday) with a service request, and the owner (Todd) responded within minutes. By 11:00 a.m., the job was completed and done beautifully. The work was done professionally and by the company owner personally. Todd is not only a professional but a gentleman. We could not recommend him and his company more highly. Super-responsive, professional service, at a fair price. It doesn't get any better than that. Services Rendered: Repaired a garage door that was damaged by a vehicle.
