Google5Everything was done exactly as they said it would be. Their communications and follow up was excellent. I've done business with them on several projects from new homes, older homes and commercial properties. They always give you a fair price with no callbacks or up charges.

Google5Had a great experience with the company. I had reached out to the company that originally installed my garage door when one of the cables suddenly snapped one day. That was about two months ago and to this day, still have not heard back. Reached out to Saugus Overhead Door, LLC on Saturday morning, left a message not expecting to hear back until at least Monday. Someone called me back that afternoon and scheduled someone to come up that Monday morning. They came on time, assessed the situation, explained everything to me clearly and made some recommendations, which I could tell were not upselling but just trying to prevent further problems. They repaired the cable and some other things and made me two new remote openers on the spot. Price was still totally reasonable to me for all the work that was done plus the openers. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.

Google5Purchased garage door from Saugus Overhead Door and had great experience. Sal understood my needs and directed me to models within my budget. I appreciate that he didn't try and upsell me on features I didn't need. I was notified when the doors came in. It was easy to schedule. Highly recommend them!

Google5In this post-covid environment, I've really gotten tired of hearing how hard it is to get help, how people don't show up to do a job, and how contractors seldom ever get back to you. That's why dealing with Saugus Overhead Door reminded me of how things used to be. Here's what happened: 1) I sent in a request for information. 2) They got back to me promptly. 3) They came to the house to look at the job. 4) They emailed me a quote. 5) I agreed to the quote, sent a deposit, and they ordered the doors. 6) When the doors came in, they reached out to set up a time. 7) They came, they installed, they left. Now I have a very nice set of garage doors. Thanks!

Angi1Hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. It’s been over 5 months since Sal, who was quick to do so, collected my deposit. 3 trips to my house spread over 4 months, they have two garage doors installed, one with a black handle as shown in the quote, one without. One has the motor installed (doesn’t work though), one they never started. The secretary has called me four different times now to schedule a time to come finish the install, which I tell her every time, the house is under construction and thanks to their garage door, it cant lock so please come any time and finish. Four calls, four different dates set, zero times shown up. When the first motor was being installed I pulled up to my house to see how things were going to find a section larger than a refridgerator box of charred and blackened pavers in a paver driveway that was less than a week old. When I questioned the two disgruntled men working there, they claimed they accidentally lit a box on fire with a cigarette but not to worry, it didn’t catch the house. I called Sal in an uproar and he told me he “doesn’t think his guys would light a fire”, and never called me again about the issue, could have truly cared less even with the countless photos I sent. His secretary, one of the many times scheduling my next no show appointment, told me those guys were just hired and fired, and not to worry, the next guys they hire and send wont light any fires. So 5 months later, I have two garage doors, that don’t match, one motor that doesn’t work, and one door I can not lock. The best of it all is, my original quote was for $4121.66. I gave a deposit of $2743.00 to order the doors Sal stated. I just found out by looking at my credit card statement, Sal took it upon himself to charge my card $1648.66 last month, without so much as mentioning it to me (or finishing my job and replacing the pavers his workers destroyed). So in the end, I was charged $4391.66 for a job that was quoted at $4121.66, for a job that is not complete, for a job that caused about $1500 in destruction to my property. There wasn’t an honest, concerned, geniune, sincere or appreciated action by Saugus Over Head door or any of its employees. This was a lot more than just a bad experience. Angi5They showed up on time for the estimate, and brought catalogs and sample chips to help choose from. The installers showed up right on time and left the whole place cleaner than it was when they got there. Services Rendered: Replace a broken old garage door including the rails.

Angi5We spoke to a lot of overhead door guys and they all seem pretty similar when it comes to door selection, quality and openers. The prices varied alot and Sal was the best price for the quality we were looking at. I liked Sal the most of all of the guys we spoke to: he was very personable, easy to deal with, gave us the options in a straightforward way. We ended up going with another company because my wife liked the style of one specific door that he did not carry. I wish he could have. Will post our experience with the other company after he installs. Services Rendered: Provided a quote for OH doors for a new garage.

Angi5Our garage doors and motors were in need of replacement for some time. We contacted and got quotes from three local companies (Overhead Doors of Danvers, Karmin Door, and Saugus Overhead Door). The bid from Overhead Door from Danvers was $3,300 so we immediately ruled them out. The bids from Karmin and Saugus Overhead Door were within $50 of each other, and we decided to go with Saugus Overhead Door. The installer was very good in terms of arriving and completing on time, and cleaning up. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the look of the new doors and the quiet openers. Angi2I've had about 30 contacts and spent many hundreds of dollars with Saugus Overhead Door. Although they are only 1/2 mile from my house, most of the contacts have been unpleasant. They charged what at least seems to me to be high labor prices, returned less than 50% of my calls, often didn't come when promised, broke other promises and were dangerously unprofessional. In January 2013, I lost possession of a triple remote. They sold me a new remote and supposedly disabled the old one for both garage doors. When I regained possession of it, I found that the remote still opened one garage door! (I could have been easily burglarized should the person who had the opener and knew where I lived, been so inclined.) So I went by personally to see Sal. He refused to give me a refund, promising to come out and reprogram it to work on both doors, and install a wireless remote. It's been over a year, but they never would do any of this. Two weeks ago the door broke again and they did not return my calls. Angie's List connected me with a GREAT garage door company. See my review of Trinity. Services Rendered: Fixed lift master garage doors multiple times, sold new remote, incorrectly de-activated missing remote.
