On the garage door they put up over a year ago, We didn't use the garage door much though I started using it daily for 6 months If you're facing the garage door on the on the inside the left side was Causing casters too come off and Slide all the way to the right side. The garage door was rubbing Against the rail. Since I had issues during the initial install, I don't call them back. I had a contractor who builds houses take a look at the situation he corrected the rail alignment. Other issue cable is tension cable coming off on right side. Those issues will be fixed today. I've used overhead door company in the past and I can only Recommend the Augusta location since no issues in 30 years.

Fabulous service. We just bought a home and the previous owner did not leave fireplace remote or unit instructions. Called Overhead and they sent assistance (Craig), the next morning. He spent quite a bit of time demonstrating how to operate the fireplace manually - - while we wait for the manufacturer to send remote. Gave me his cell number and offered to come back and do another demo on remote usage. Now if we could find an equally responsive & responsible handyman and lawn service! -

Word of Caution, be sure to ask the tech how much your job will cost prior to his starting the job. Apparently, the phone estimate does not mean anything. (My actual experience follows). I phoned AOD on a Friday to inquire about replacing my garage door spring, one spring of two had snapped. I asked when they could fix it and what the approximate costs would be. I Set an appointment for the coming Monday and was quoted a cost over the phone of $250.00 to $350.00 depending on parts. I was thinking $250 for one spring and $350 for two springs if it was best to replace both at the same time. The tech and his helper arrived as scheduled and I was told they had the correct springs. There was no discussion about replacing one or both springs, the tech set about replacing both springs. They completed the job in less than an hour and requested a payment of $450.00. I told the tech I was quoted $250.00 to $350.00 over the phone, the tech said the best he could do was $390.00 so I called the office and was told the tech determines the price and the person I was talking to on the phone could not do anything regarding the cost and the owner was not available. I agreed to pay the $390.00 which included tax and when I took out my credit card I was told it would cost me an additional 8% (additional $31.20) to pay by credit card. I paid by check to save the additional 8%. When all is said and done AOD needs to address this problem of low ball quotes and then overcharging its customers after the work is completed. Please remember although I ended up paying only $20.00 over the high quoted price of $350.00 plus tax of $20.00 the tech originally asked for $450.00 an additional $100.00 over the original quoted price.

Great great people to deal with. This company is top-notch. Had a problem with my garage door opener. Called Thursday, technicians arrived on-time Monday. They were very professional. I could literally ask for nothing more from a company. I have two additional door openers that are 14 years old, and when they need replaced, it is 100% that I will call Aiken Overhead Doors again. My technicians were Dave and Craig, and I rate them both 5-star as well. Nice to know in this day and age there are still companies that are there for the customer. I recommend them fully!

This is a follow up to a 2 year old review based off new and more recent events. AOD installed a wood burning stove for us 2 years ago. As soon as we used it we noticed smoke coming out of the front of a self contained unit, but had read that for the first 5-6 times of use, that the paint would burn off some so we didn't pay too much attention. We have only used the stove 5 times to date (starting in 02/2020). At the end of this past winter (roughly 02/2021) we used our stove and the fire alarms in the house started blaring and smoke began billowing down the stairs. We ran up stairs (my son was up there as well as the dog) and noticed the smoke coming from both our guest bedroom (attic storage access) as well as from the small attic that houses the heat pump. We obviously evacuated from the house upon retrieving everyone. Fortunately, the house was not on fire and we did not use the stove again. We called out a local chimney sweep to check the stove out and he was shocked at what we found. AOD did not connect the pipe from the inside of the house to the outside of the house. I immediately (after hours) sent an email to AOD which was to be returned in 48 hours. That did not happen. I called after the 48 hours had passed and asked to speak with the owner. I have yet to hear from the owner so I went to the SC SOS website to find his name and registered agent address only to find that AOD business status was forfeited on 4/2/2021 due to administrative dissolution. Unfortunately it seems the only way to get a response from AOD is to post a negative review to Google. We have also filed a complaint with the BBB and saw this is not the only fireplace related complaint. Furthermore, our original issue with the C Arm that holds the garage door opener has happened twice more until my husband fixed it correctly. We await the unfortunate public response to this matter.

I've had these guys come out to the house twice now. The first time was great but unfortunately I can't remember the tech's name. He saved me some money through some recommendations when I was replacing the springs for the garage door. The second time David came to the house and was quick and efficient. He was incredibly courteous and gave me some tips on maintaining proper garage door function over the long haul. I didn't have any issues calling to set up the appointments and both techs called ahead to ensure I would be home when they arrived.

This review is primarily for Wyatt who is knowledgeable, personable and exceedingly competent. The original installation was sketchy. The customer service response from Doug was great, but not a good idea to send the same crew to fix their own work. Wyatt finally came and saved the day! I say it's a good solid local company that charges fairly and takes responsibility for customer satisfaction. I recommend them.

Called because our garage door opener was not working properly. A technician was sent out the same day. Technician (David) immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes. David was very knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. He could have just suggested replacing the entire door opener but, instead did the right thing by repairing it. We were left with a very positive impression of the company and will certainly call them again when we need service. Thanks for a job well done.
