Yelp1Used Winston Garage doors because they were attached to our home warranty. Horrible mistake, said I needed a new garage door opener, charged me $500 installed it incorrectly, didn't put the entry sensors on so the door closed on my truck damaging the door and my truck. We notified the company who had us send them photos of the door, truck damage and the incorrect installation. Never heard another word...Wont answer emails or text messages. DONT USE WINSTON GARAGE DOORS!

Yelp5I have no complaints! My garage door was not raising or lowering. Jesus came and diagnosed my problem and then Isa came and finished the work. Both men were friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable. They arrived as scheduled did a fantastic job. I had a pleasant experience. Would definitely use them again.

Yelp1DO NOT USE - Kenneth showed up late and was arrogant from the second he walked in my garage. He was sent by the home warranty company and with out even looking inside the opener said it wouldn't be covered because the rails were installed wrong. Funny since they have worked just fine for over 14 years and the motor is the actual issue. He was also vaping while standing in my garage. Totally unprofessional. Basically a scam. Get the warranty company to deny the claim and pocket the service fee. Total joke.

Yelp1[Irving, TX]. Not too pleased. This person was sent to me by my home warranty company. He made some comments to the Warranty company and warranty company denied the claim. This guy made recommendation to replace couple of hardware and charged me over $2000.0. Later I found out the Hardwares cost around $300 in Home depot. Give yourself a favor. Ask the tech what parts need to be replaced and check Home depot or online how much those component cost. Add reasonable labor cost (If you can install yourself watching Youtube, that will be great). I surely feel I was scammed!

Yelp1DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Quoted me $2000 to replace an electric gate motor in August. Told me today it would be $3000. Maybe Lift Master's prices did go up, but that much. And the the snotty attitude by Kenneth actually turned into a yelling match between us. SUCH A PUNK! This time scheduling was difficult. Told me 9am today but neglected to tell me they have a FIVE hour arrival window. First attempt to see when Kenneth would be here I was told he was picking up parts and I was next. Second time-two hours later-they told me he was still picking up parts and I was next. Showed up close to 12:30. He was arrogant from the second he walked through the door. When he knew we weren't doing any more business he insisted on his service call fee and harassed me about it as I was going for my wallet. Such an arrogant person. Someone needs to teach him about communication. All in all terrible experience....

Yelp1Please spend some time reading ALL negative reviews from other sources. We, as a geriatric couple, were grossly taken advantage of because we did not! ALL OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE CORRECT and I hope I can DISCOURAGE you from doing business with WINSTON GARAGE DOORS?!?!

Yelp1Stay away from them at all costs. They were dispatched by my warranty company. Provided false report to the warranty company (different from the one they provided to me) so the claim would be denied. The quote to fix it at my own cost was more than double of what every other place quoted me. These guys are crooks.

Yelp1***THEY WILL SCAM YOUR HOME WARRANTY AND TAKE YOUR MONEY*** my home warranty company sent out Winston doors to repair our garage door. The teach showed up with a girl in his personal vehicle, told me the truck can was in the shop. We reported the chain was lose and a gear had broken. The tech told us the parts we needed were several weeks out and recommended we purchase the replacement garage door opener. We paid almost $500 for a new garage door that was suppose to include credit applied from our home warranty company. We spoke with our home warranty company - the tech did not report the correct problem to the warranty company and scammed us. STAY AWAY!

Yelp5My technician Juan was very efficient and courteous. He boxed all old parts for easy discard and made sure I had no questions or concerns. New opener is quiet and works great. I wouldn't hesitate to use Winston again.

Yelp1My final tech, Devon, was fantastic. He walked into this situation and resolved it, so this review does not pertain to Devon or his professionalism. I have First American Home Warranty who contracts with Winston. I was without my garage door since June 16. It took 46 days for Winston Doors to order parts and repair my door. TEXAS DISPATCH is the most unprofessional service I have ever worked with. Originally, after canceling and rescheduling the first evaluation appointment, the tech was fine. He came out and supposedly ordered parts. I had to call at least a dozen times to this contractor to get any information on the parts and a final repair appointment. They then scheduled with me no less than 4 appointments which they no-showed (***YES!!! ALL 4 APPOINTMENTS - NO SHOW - NO CALL. NO I AM SORRY. JUST NADA! ***) After a month of no garage door, I finally quit calling them and complained to First American...after another 4 days, I received a phone call from Winston informing me that a new tech was coming out and that my garage door would NOT be fixed that day because apparently the parts were not originally ordered as I was told. Devon came out evaluated and ordered the parts. HOWEVER, I still had to call TEXAS DISPATCH three times. Once to find out when the parts were delivered, then after NOT RECIEVING AN APPOINTMENT NOTIFICATION AS PROMISED. I had to call and schedule the follow up appointment. On the day of repair, I got nervous because I could not find a confirmation text and decided to call TEXAS DISPATCH AGAIN to verify my appointment. I was ON HOLD without speaking to a person for over 10 minutes. I hung up and called Arizona Dispatch who confirmed that I was on Devon's schedule. Honestly, for the trouble of this repair, I wish I could give a negative star rating to the company and 5 to Devon. He was fast, efficient, got it done, and was kind to a very barky dog. Thank you, Devon for working late and getting my garage door operational again. You are appreciated.
