Was never called when special order arrived. Had to call to ask and was told it had been there a couple days. When I went there to pick it up had to wait almost 40 minutes to have it brought out front. I dont believe this woulda happened at a small family owned business

Today my husband and I went to the Florence, SC Hime Depot to buy a gas range. I had spent hours researching and Home Depot has on sale and in stock the range I wanted. We looked at the range and then asked for assistance. We waited 45 minutes and asked two more times for assistance. I have been to this Home Depot three times and never not once has anyone asked if we needed any help. We then went to Lowe's and found the same gas range $100 cheaper. The sales guy waited on us and about 6 other people while we were deciding what to buy. This is why I always buy my appliances at Lowe's.

They sold me a toilet when the plumbing manager wasn't there. No one checked it out prior to the sale, (including me,). As we all know- you pay to have a plumber come out to your house and it had taken 3 weeks to arrange for one due to my location. We brought the box home in the back- the plumber came out- he got the box opened and the entire toilet was scrambled eggs. Drove back to the store again, the plumbing manager was in and he said, oh I heard that thing rattling on the shelf, I should have taken it down. Although they didn't fully compensate my out of pocket costs for a plumber, or the time and gas it took to switch out the toilet, they did however make an effort and credited me a significant portion of the toilet price. So now I have a brand new toilet sitting in a box in my carport waiting on the day I can afford to hire a new plumber or get brave enough to install it myself. The lesson here is have them open the box before you leave the store. (and everyone but me probably already knows this- ah well...)

over two months have past since I paid for a quartz counter top. a week and a half later the stone fella came to template for it. two weeks go by and we call to find out when they plan the install. at this point we find that the templaters info had not gotten into the home depot computer for unknown reasons so that the stone still had not even been ordered. since this is late on Thursday and that is stone ordering day..it cannot be ordered til the following week, then a 7 to 15 days for it to arrive then it can be cut. the week after this we are told that the stone is on back order. then a few days later we are told that some had been ordered the week prior. then days later it is still on back order...you see the issue...so finally when july comes, two months have passed and still there is no stone...... we call corporate...that was about a week ago.. this morning we get a call saying that in five days from today we will have countertops. shouldn't these folks know what stone is available when they sell it? and why is that NO ONE, not the folks at the store or the stone subcontractors did any follow up on an order of 2400.00? that might not be a big amount to them but it is huge in my world. my advise is pay a little more and go with the real people who do the stone work. unless you like not having use of your kitchen for long periods of time. had I done my job like these folks do theirs...many would have died of neglect. my thanks to corporate for helping to get things moving.
