Our homeowner's association recommended Precision when we inquired about garage door repairs. Our motor seemed like it was ready for some type of repair but we are no experts. I called Precision, and was able to set up an appointment fairly quickly. The technician, Kyler, was timely, polite, and very knowledgeable. He conducted an inspection, explained everything fully, and then gave me a quote for a repair. He even suggested against a full replacement and said I could get more life from some of my parts. At last, an honest repairman! Kyler completed the work within an hour, explained the warranty, and even provided a sticker with contact information. He was very professional, and the work looks great. I highly recommend Precision for overall service, professionalism, and value.

SCAM. I was quoted an absurd amount of money to replace my garage door. I told them I can't afford that price so I need to think about it, and they gave me a deadline for the quote so I felt pressured to make a decision. After shopping around, I went to another place who quoted me for half the price, then even said that Home Depot will give me the lowest price so I should just go with them. Home Depot ended up quoting me a quarter of the price! I am so glad I didn't end up going with Precision Garage - they will up-charge you like crazy and it's a total scam.

Tavon Flowers came out to service my two car garage door after the tension spring snapped during the blackout caused by the reckless pilot in Gaithersburg. Tavon did a complete inspection, suggested any additional repairs and completed the repairs on the same visit. Tavon is a very knowledgeable tech and I would highly recommend him!

Would never use this company. They are a scam. Came to my house just for a service fee. Got my problem fixed the next day for half the price from another company, gave the tech a tip for what they where trying to rip me off.

This was a highly unethical service. They came out, decided they did not work on my two-year-old system, and charged me $85 for a service call. They did give me an estimate for replacing the entire system for just under $1000. The problem is one of the doors spontaneously opens which is probably a logic board issue. An ethical company would have asked the manufacturer of our system before coming out to tell me, for $85, that they were not going to do anything.

I did not hire Precision....you want to charge $70 for a site visit for an estimate?!? That's ridiculous! Everyone else is free! I understand that the money will go towards your purchase. when you purchase a door from you but who would when the same garage door installed by you is over TWICE the price of everyone else...??? I can't believe you would rip people off with such high mark up for your services. If you want to waste money feel free to hire them. The lady on the phone was very nice and did get me a quote without a site visit but wow....$$$$$$

I called because my garage door came off the track and the cable came off the spindle. Kevin came out and looked at it for several minutes and went to his truck to "write a quote". About ten minutes later he was telling me that my door was not fixable and I had several options for a new door costing between $2500-3500. I told him I want interested in a new door and he left. I watched a ten minute YouTube video and an hour later my door was fixed. I don't know if he is that incompetent or that lazy. All I know is that he tried to take advantage of me which is particularly egregious since I am currently unemployed. In looking at their "reviews" they solicit reviews and limit what is posted on their website. I don't consider that ethical behavior.

We are quite satisfied with our Precision Garage Door experience. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. They removed an old, dangerous double garage door and installed a new top-of-the-line Carriage Court garage door and Liftmaster operator. This project included substantial construction to resize the garage opening and fortify the structure. The job was completed on schedule and on budget and we are very pleased with the results. We highly recommend Precision Garage Door.

I was impressed by the 24-hour customer service. I was able to make an appointment after most businesses would have been closed. I was given a convenient appointment within the next two days. I had a very old garage door opener that was failing. Barry did an excellent job installing a new opener. He was done in less than an hour. He was friendly and professional. I would definately use Precision Doors (Laurel Office) again!! Services Rendered: Garage door opener and sensor replacement

Good. Brain was the installer and he was quick and efficient. I observed the process and was happy I had not tried to do this myself. He was done and out in about 4 hours +/-, including new door, tracks, motor mount, trim and test and with all of the old stuff gone. Services Rendered: Old garage tension cable came loose and need repair. I was OK with that but was also thinking of updating the old plastic/aluminum door anyway (see photo), so inquired from "J.R.", the salesman who did the estimate and went for new door with windows (see photo). We decided on a steel "Clopay" with windows and insulation attached to our existing motor.

I will never use this company again. I felt ripped off two years ago when they told me I needed new springs and said they were putting in heavy duty ones to replace my old ones. I was told a year later by a different provider that the springs Precision installed were not heavy duty and should have been stronger ones. This year when my garage door started malfunctioning, I made the mistake of calling Precision again. They were 4 hours late, then I was told I needed to replace my motor. When I said I would use a different provider and get a second opinion, they said to just try fixing the current motor, it would be $225 but they would waive the service call fee since they were so late, and they would attempt to fix the motor for $180.00. I agreed to that and I watched the technician. He tightened two screws on the track on one side, climbed up on the ladder, reset the motor using the reset button, and charged me $190.00. This is a rip off Company!!! Do not use them unless you are willing to be ripped off. Services Rendered: Reset my garage door motor and tightened two screws on one track.

I called Precision because my garage door was stuck. Even though the advertise 24x7 service they refused to come out on a weekend. They did, however, send someone out during the week to provide an inspection and provide repairs if possible. The technician was experienced, articulate, and pleasant. During his $85 inspection he explained the door could not be repaired and I would need to replace parts of it at a cost of over $1500. To make things worse, I would be unable to use my door until it was repaired and it would take several weeks to get the necessary parts. Later that day I called a smaller company for a second opinion. The guy who came out was nowhere near as articulate and managed to fix my door (better than before) for $150. I'm sure Precision might do great with larger jobs, such as the one they proposed for me. (Why else would they use that name?) However, you may want to get a second opinion on any large job they propose as someone else may be able to do it quicker and for much less money. Services Rendered: Provided an inspection of my damaged garage door.

Service was timely (next day) and we were provided a comprehensive assessment of door repair requirements and cost before proceeding. I have no idea whether the cost was reasonable because I didn't believe there was to be a charge since we had a "Lifetime Warranty" on the doors from previous work performed by this same firm. Complaint: We went to this firm because we had employed them years ago and had a "Lifetime Warranty." Accounting Office was to call me before the technician arrived; they did not. Instead the technician informed me that the company had "changed hands" and all warranties were invalid. We will be getting future repairs from another company that stands behind its warranties. Services Rendered: Snapped cable and, since that had to be repaired, replaced 2 door springs and general service to both garage doors.

While he was here he did not think the problem required a repair or anything for him to fix. He told me rather than ordering a new expensive mother board to check things out further. I then asked him to program my two hand held garage door remotes and two car garage door openers. He only charged me for the service call and did not charge any additional fees. He also told me to call back if I have any more problems and he would order the needed part. I really appreciated that. I was really pleased with his service. He is a young guy. He was really nice and polite. He was just a pleasure. I would not call anyone else now. Services Rendered: I had a problem with my garage door opener. When the guy came out the opener was working.

Called them to come out and repair a spring mount that had came loose. They came out and said we needed over $1800 of repairs for the "unsafe" door and that i needed to have a carpenter put in a piece of wood before they could do work. They quoted to replace the door which was in good shape. They charged up front (since I was a landlord) for the $85 "safety inspection" fee. Another company agreed to fix the mount and reinstall the door opener for under $350. This guy showed up for literally 10 minutes then tells me he cant do the work until I hire the carpenter. Unreal- I am trying to get the $85 fee refunded but no luck. I have attempted to get in touch with the owner, Charles Moore, but the rep at the office says he is not available. Services Rendered: $85 fee to tell me that they can't do anything.

I had them come around last Tuesday. The fellow who came out charged me $85 just for showing up. He then looked at the garage door and told me he did not see anything wrong with it. I told him the problem seemed to be temperature dependent and when it was below zero in the morning it would fail. It would behave better later in the day when it was warmer. This made me think that this was a lubrication issue. He told me the total bill would then be $156 for both the service call and the lubrication. He lubricated the door, checked the contacts on the motor, and did what he called a full inspection. The next day the garage door was worse than before. Its movements seemed to be more out of balance than before. I put a review on their website so they would know what happened. The next day I called them and explained the problem. I said I wanted someone else to come out and I wanted a more experienced person to solve the problem and that I did not want to pay for the service call this time since the person who came out did not diagnose the problem correctly. I made the appointment for next Tuesday, and they gave me a call today saying that they would not be able to honor any discount. The national information led me to believe that this was a local office, when it looks like they are located all the way over in Fredericksburg. If I had known I had known they were all the way over there, I would not have even used them. Services Rendered: My garage door was not opening and closing properly. It would get stuck
