    I would never use D and D garage doors again. they kept putting me off after someone showed up a week after the first call. He measured the springs and never came back. Kept putting me off for another day. that's when I had enough and canceled my next schedule appointment. I called a local door company and they fixed it that day. NEVER USE D AND D GARAGE DOORS AGAIN NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE. I ADDED A STAR ONLY BECAUSE I HAD TO

    They came out to reprogram our garage opener. When they left the garage door will not work, with the remote or manually. Our truck is stuck inside. They have not answered any texts, emails, or returned my call. Stay far away from this company.

    I have two garage door openers and a remote from D&D doors. I had to reprogram the opener and was unable to reprogram the remote through Chamberlain, the company that made the openers. I was advised by Chamberlain to call D and D because the remote was D&D's which I did and was told that no one knew how to program their own remote so I would have to pay for a service call for a technician to come out and figure out how to program their remote. I explained to them it should be a simple matter of telling me how to do it which I could do myself but they said they didn't have time they had people on the road and I would have to pay for a service call. I would never do business with this company again and I certainly would say buyer beware

    We called D&D Garage Doors because our garage door would not stay shut. We arranged our Dad to be here when they came. They came on time. They diagnosed the problem right away. They fixed the problem and did not leave a mess. They were polite and professional. We will refer them to our friends, and use them in the future if we have any more issues. 5 stars!

    I would like to recommend D &D Garage Doors for the service they provided when my garage door was repaired. They arrived at my house on time. The work was completed in a timely manner and they cleaned up all the trash after the repair was completed. I was very satisfied and pleased with the clean job that I received.

    Very happy with the work done by D and D Garage Doors. They came immediately and completed the job to our satisfaction. Their rates are very reasonable. We have recommended them to others and will definitely use them again.

    Very happy. Pricing for stripping at the bottom of garage door was based on type of garage door instead of just marking up the price for everyone as some garage door companies do. I also went ahead and had the trim on either side of my garage door replaced because it was so reasonable. Thank you.

    Great customer experience I loved the common sense approach that my technician gave. Easy to book and was on time and efficient. 5 stars not enough for them honestly 6 out of 5 stars

    The garage door was fixed but their customer service is horrible. They give you a date to come repair and then if you don't answer the phone when they call day before for reminder they cancel the appointment. Not everyone has the luxury to answer their phones at work to confirm something that is already scheduled. My repair was a warranty issue and they kept asking for a credit card to put on file. Apparently it's about the money and not customer service. I expect a company to want repeat business and treat its customers in this manner. I would not use them again unless it was a warranty issue and had no choice.

    I was impressed with the office staff which was able to get an appointment within a few days and $150 less than the competitors. When Edward arrived, he was pleasant and knowledgeable about garage doors. I had a problem with my remote control and he was able to help me with it. Everything was finished in about an hour. Excellent job and will continue to use D and D in the future.

    Outstanding work and service. They even came and helped me with a small issue and didn't even charge me. They have earned my loyalty as a patron and I would highly recommend them to anyone out there.

    Excellent service, from the sales call through the installation. The product (new belt drive opener and installation) was reasonably priced. The installation was done on schedule, and the installer did an outstanding job.

    The installer was efficient and kind. He replaced the weatherstrip on the bottom of our garage door. Reasonable price and didn't have to wait long for an appointment.

    I called for service in North Port and was given an appointment and was told the Service Tech would come on a Wednesday from 2-4pm and I would receive a phone call the night prior. I did not receive a phone call the night prior. I called and e-mail D&D Wednesday morning to verify the appointment. NO ANSWER! No one ever called or showed up. They never responded to my messages either. Do not bother to do business with a poorly run company like this in NORTH PORT!

    Service requested was to repair my garage door opener. This company is absolutely horrible. If fact they are beyond horrible. The tech came by, analyzed and gave me a quote with repairs for the following week, appointment time 9-10. NO SHOW. Called and they said I SHOULD have been contacted, but it was rescheduled for early in the afternoon. NO SHOW. The tech calls me 2 HOURS after they were supposed to be here and indicated they no longer make the part and someone SHOULD have called me. The Service Manager wouldn't talk to me. I'd go to some other company for service. UNRELIABLE AND POOR COMMUNICATION.

    They don't deserve any stars. I ordered my door through ********** on Dec. 15, 2022. Because of the hurricane and building boom, it took until March 10, 2023, for it to come in. ***** picked it up. I waited for them to call me for an installation appointment for a couple of weeks; nothing. I called them to find out what was going on. They told me they were waiting on a permit. They knew shortly after I ordered the door that they would be installing it, why did they wait to pull a permit? A couple more weeks passed with nothing so I got on the building department's website and checked for the permit. It had gone through. I called them again, told them the permit was approved, and to set an appointment and got one for **** 15th.Just before the installation day, I got a call saying the tech had to get surgery so they were canceling the appointment. They made a new appointment for the 23rd, between 7-9 AM. My husband took the day off from work to be there. The appointment time came and went so my husband called them. He was told that the tech had been fired and that they had called me and sent emails telling me the appointment had been canceled; all lies! My husband asked to speak to the manager but was told he was too busy to come to the phone.My husband went back to ********** and told them what was going on. They called ***** and told them that the new appointment had to be on a Saturday so my husband wouldn't have to miss any more work. They said they had an opening for the 18th (Tuesday) but they would call the next day to see if they were able to book a Saturday. They didn't call.My husband called them again to find out what was going on. The nasty woman on the phone said they don't do Saturdays. My husband was fuming mad and asked for the manager. He was told he was out on the floor and had no time to talk with him. My husband yelled that he wanted the manager and she hung up on him.Save yourself the aggravation and find someone else to install your door!

    Terrible customer service. Got a gal on the phone who said they couldn't service my south Venice location so she would transfer me to their Sarasota number which asked me leave a message . No return call from them yet. I'll find someone else.

    I used this company for years and yet when I called for a broken garage door it took multiple attempts to get them on the phone. I left several messages and nobody called me back. Finally I called back and when given choices to connect to service I chose accounting and someone picked up the phone. I made an appointment for a week out and they didn't make it due to illness; they didn't call me back to reschedule. Once again I had to go through the poor phone system they have installed and got through to sales this time who found someone in service. Made a second appointment and when they didn't show in the agreed upon window I called and they said they'd be here in one hour - which of course wasn't true. I gave up and called another company - I hate to give a negative review for a once preferred company but definitely recommend not using D&D.

    We waited months for our garage door to get installed by D&D. They called last week and scheduled installation for this last Tuesday. They confirmed installation with us. They told us to have the garage emptied. We emptied the complete garage for Tuesday's install (confirmed). We took off of work and waited all day for them to show up. They said that they would come first thing in the morning. We finally called them. They told us that they never filed for a permit even though they came out and confirmed measurements months earlier. We have called them a bunch of time to find out what is going on....no answers. I wish I wouldn't have taken off work and emptied the garage. Still no answers!

    I just want to let everyone what an unprincipled company D & D Garage Door in Port Charlotte is. Back in November 2022 I damaged the lower panel of my Wayne Dalton garage door. Since D & D is the only company that handles this product I had no choice but to call them. An appointment was made, and a technician came out to give me an estimate. Once I received and approved the estimate and gave them a deposit I then waited 5 months before it finally arrived. The week before the promise date I started calling them to find out if the panel arrived, it took several more calls before I was told that there are 3 or 4 panels in the yard (none of which had my name on it). Obviously, the panels were probably sitting there for a while. A week later they came out to install the panel (It should be noted that other then the original damage the door operated perfectly fine) after the install not so much. A few days after the install the door started making all kind of noises going up and down, shaking, rattling then I started hearing a whining sound. I called the company and they sent someone out the following day. When the technician arrived (an hour late) he listened to the noises and immediately said the spring is binding and that's what's causing the problem (a new spring would cost about $600 to replace). I said if that were the case why didn't the tech who installed the panel notice it (I don't believe in coincidences). The following day I called the office again to see if they would send someone out again to really check the door to make sure everything worked properly, like the balance weight of the door, the cables anything else that might be the culprit. I was told that if it related to the panel there wouldn't be any charge but if the problem was unrelated I would be charged a service call of $99 plus any parts. I asked how would I know if it was related or not, your in business to make aren't you, got no response.

    I would really leave zero stars. This company is absolutely horrible. Their "lead customer service representative" is an absolute nasty person who has no business being in customer service to begin with. The so-called manager has no idea that the customer is always right. As a manager you do NOT get on the phone and tell an irate customer who was given information by your lead customer service representative with no follow through regarding the customer receiving a phone call for an appt time and then proceed to tell that irate customer to "calm down". I'm sorry a male manager telling a female customer to calm down is extremely demeaning and I for one do not respond well to it and I do not appreciate it. I do not appreciate being talked to like a child and that is exactly what that manager did to me. That same male manager would NEVER have talked to another male customer with such disrespect if that male customer had spoken in the same stern and irate manner. I called Thursday, December 23 because my garage door broke that morning. Now I understood having to wait for an appointment till after Christmas. I was told I would get a phone call back the same day in order to make an appointment for Monday 12/27. That never happened. I called back on Monday 12/27 then get told that I am to wait till Wednesday 12/29. No. I am not the type of customer that excepts a company dropping the ball then telling me I have to wait and then proceed to treat me so disrespectfully when I get upset regarding their mistake. If a company's customer service, the frontline of any business, has no idea how to treat their customers then I have absolutely no interest in having them in my home and paying them good money. Please DO NOT use D & D Garage Doors. If you do it's at your own risk. One of the most Unfriendly & Unprofessional companies I've ever dealt with!
