Google1Update: Wayne dalton refunded our money. Case closed. Original text: We contacted Wayne Dalton to fix a broken garage door window. Wayne Dalton came out to measure the window and charged me $145 to measure. After no contact from them for a couple days it took multiple calls for them to respond and tell us they did not want to do the job. I called to speak with a manager, no one returned. Horrible service and I feel scammed for the $145. I called another window company who came onsite measured at no costs and advised that would be able to fix easily within a week. Don't trust Wayne Dalton for support and honest work. They will spend 5 minutes measuring a window, take your $145 and never return.

Google1Had an issue with my Wayne Dalton door. I called and left a message, hoping to get some info on possible repairs. I never heard back from anyone. I ended up getting a mild steel door of a different brand, and I couldn't be happier. Much better quality than the Dalton door!

Google5Last Thursday, 7/29/23, I went to a Wayne Dalton Service Center to shop for a garage door panel, instead I got a new door with a great price as well as an outstanding service from the front office personnel. The ladies of the front desk went beyond their lunch break hours to help me complete the transaction for a new garage door. Kudos to Wayne Dalton staff , I won't hesitate and will tell everyone about the exceptional service I received!

Google5Door broke during the long weekend, they were out the next day and gave me a very fair price. Work was done perfectly the first time.

Google1Called several times to have garage door repaired. Scheduling/service department continues to either mis-schedule and/or cancel your appoint because of THEIR lack of communication between each other in the office. Then the company refuses to sell parts at an affordable price to other service repairmen, therefore, current/previous clients are MADE to purchase service from them solely!! If you're not going to be available and ethical, then don't lock the market from someone else who IS ready and able! Not good business and very selfish!

Google1Appalling customer service. Purchased an opener at HD 2 weeks ago. Cannot get anyone at Wayne Dalton to get the appointment set up. Multiple calls, multiple promises of a call back - yet nothing. I hope their service installers are better than their office - otherwise, we're in trouble. I would have terminated 'Rachel' in a heartbeat for her blatant disregard for customer service and simple follow-through. Terrible experience so far.

Google1If Wayne Dalton actually reads this please tell your installers to stop accusing homeowners of locking the garage door and that's what breaks the arm/door mechanism. I have a mechanical engineering degree and worked on industrial gas turbine engines so I think I have a fair amount of mechanical experience. I also HAVE NEVER LOCKED MY GARAGE DOOR EXCEPT WHEN THE MECHANISM BROKE. I have vehicles to protect and when the door can be rolled up by hand I think I should use the lock then. But having ovaries apparently makes me incompetent. Oh, and thank you to the installer who fixed the door the second time and deliberately left a chunk of metal underneath the tire of my motorcycle. Guess what, I do a FOD walk in my garage because I also worked on fighter jets. The only reason we used your service is that it was under warranty, next time I'll fix it myself and do a superior installation that doesn't require 5 call-outs to fix.

Yelp1Communication is non-existent! First - who sets an appointment time for between 8am-5pm??? I can't commit to being there for an entire day! They installed the doors when our home was built (before we owned it) and so I was comfortable with the appointment time assuming they would do the best work...unfortunately no one showed up the day of my appointment and when I called to confirm someone would come, at 4pm, the person confirmed they would. When I called back to understand why no one showed up; someone on their team confirmed that I didn't ever have an appointment and they would ensure I was on the schedule - unfortunately a week later!! I unfortunately (knowing what I know now) said that was ok and when I called 2 days before my appointment to confirm the people were unable to find my appointment on their calendar. Truly unbelievable situation to have to go through as a customer and ultimately I decided the frustration wasn't worth it and I went through getting service/maintenance from a competitor. Communication matters - this company doesn't provide it!

Yelp4Our home builder used Wayne Dalton to install a Stewart double garage door when home was built. We also used them to replace 2 lower panels after our teenager had a little braking accident. They came out within a few days, on time, and replaced panels with the same type and design. Great job and highly recommend.

Yelp1Don't order a door from Wayne Dalton unless you want to wait 6 months. Ordered a door Oct. 21' finally received it Mar. 22'. Production date on box was Jan. 22'. I made so many phone calls just to track down the status and kept getting excuses (from an extremely nice person at least ). My brain shut down and I gave up. I Couldn't get any help from Lowes and couldn't cancel because they said it had been "shipped" (with no tracking number and couldn't find the door). Finally received the door (just showed up unannounced) the door tracks and adjustable wall brackets were missing....a few hinges on door were screwed in crooked (it's just the little things that speaks volume on quality). Bright side the door is finally installed and works great thus far. The 9100 is super quiet with the factory insulation, and the torque master springs were super easy to install. I noticed the price on these went up $400 from when I purchased, so I would be very hesitant to buy one at the new price point.

Yelp1I have now had my doors for 2 weeks. They failed to deliver the locks for the doors and said they would ship them. They also delivered 7 foot tracks for an 8 foot door. They will not return my calls. I am a builder building multiple houses at a time. How hard is it for an individual homeowner to get service?

Yelp1Lauren- you missed the entirety of my complaint. Its par for your company's course. Had nothing to do with various springs. I didnt need a spring. I needed some communication and accountability. Unfortunately- neither you nor your company have a clue on how to manage that. Good day.

Yelp1It's my first time dealing with this company, but I have to use them due to the warranty on my garage door for a new construction home. One of their guys was supposed to be here between 12-4 and I was told that they would call an hour before to let me know when they would be on their way. 3 o'clock rolls around and nothing, so I call the office and the girl who answered said that they don't have a set time to come by; that the time frame is between 8-5 and they'll come by any time in that time frame. She also said that they're probably running a little late. By 4 o'clock I called again and the girl says they WILL be there today for sure. Told her that it's almost 5 pm and I know they're closing soon. Again I was assured that someone will be by today. Guess what? It's 8:30 pm and nobody showed up! Not even a phone call! And of course, they're closed on the weekends. What a waste of my time! Now I'm gonna have to reschedule and rearrange my schedule so I can get this taken care of. Once I get my garage door fixed, I don't ever want to deal with this company again. Worst service ever!!

Yelp2Well, they sure have their own idea about the schedule. My appointment was supposed to be between 12-4pm. I called their office at 4pm asking where the guy was, and the useless girl in the office told me "oh, he's probably running late because of yesterday's rain". Then she told me I could always call back at 4:30 to check. Which I did, but guess what? The office closes at 4:30. Gee, THANKS. %!*@# Anyway the guy finally called at 5:15 to say he was on his way, and he showed up at 6pm. In fairness, once he arrived it only took him 20 minutes to change out the spring on my garage door. I'm happy with the work, just not happy at the delay and poor communication.

Yelp1Poor service. It was late (4 hours late). I was first on his schedule (8.00 to 12.00) and he is arrived at 12.30. Fortunately, I was first on his schedule, I imagine the rest of the customers. The last one, it will be midnight. I do not recommend this company.
