Google5I rarely take the time to leave reviews. In this case, the excellent customer service and fair prices compelled me to do so. I have a two-car and single-car garage; both were working but had not been serviced since I bought the house 12 years ago (probably much longer). The bottom seals on the doors were rotted and in need of replacement, and I suspected there were going to be other issues that should be addressed as well. I read reviews on Yelp and decided to call Garage Door Star, Inc. Sam called me back within a few minutes and provided me a price for replacing the seals, an inspection, and lubricating the mechanisms (as other reviewers have noted, I thought the price was very fair). We scheduled an appointment and Sam communicated well (by text which I appreciate), and let me know what time he was arriving on the day of the appointment. Sam arrived, inspected both garage doors, and noticed several cracked hinges, and worn rollers. He took the time to explain that the doors were still balanced well despite the springs being very old. He did not try to up-sell me on anything and told me what I should replace while telling me the items that could use being replaced but were optional. He did notice I had installed one door opener a bit off center and he suggested straightening that out as well. I could see and understand everything he was explaining to me and decided to do all of the necessary work as well as replace the rollers on one door. Sam let me know how much everything would cost before starting the work. The entire job only took two hours and everything looks great (the work was done today so I will update the review if any issues come up). My wife wants to replace both doors with more contemporary ones and we will be calling Sam for an estimate. Highly recommend Garage Door Star and Sam!

Google5Called first thing in the morning about our Garage door making a strange noise and not working. Was able to come out within a few hours. Diagnosed the issues in timely manor and provided us with a few options for repair/replacement. Was very friendly, pricing was great and install looks amazing. Did the replacement is a few hours and even cleaned up in the garage to make sure it wasn't messy after he left. Amazing work, very happy we called Sam. Would definitely recommend and call again if we needed any more work done.

Google5Company is attentive and extremely responsive to questions and repairs. I purchased a garage door and system. Everything was installed properly with wifi capabilities and product is quiet. After some bad weather, power outage and WiFi went down, Sam was responsive and came to fix the problem. Great experience and highly recommend!

Google5My garage door has been jumping back up for several days and will no longer remain closed. Being a decades long DIY'er I did some troubleshooting myself and diagnosed the door has being out of balance, or the spring possibly in need of replacement. There are many things I refuse to pay some to do for me. Working on a garage spring is not one of them. It can be extremely dangerous without the right tools and knowledge, so I called Sam after finding his business online. Sam promptly responded the next day at our scheduled appointment time. Upon inspection, Sam indicated my spring was in good shape and all my door needed was a basic tune-up which is the lowest service in terms of cost. He also recommended my noisy bearings be replaced on either side of the door since they were in shambles. When he quoted me the total price, I wondered where the profit was and almost felt like negotiating up. Sam could have easily upsold me by suggesting a new spring, a new opener, or a number of other things. The man's integrity was evident when he only sold me what I needed. Once he completed the work, it was obvious he had cleaned and lubed the spring, lubed the rollers, and replaced the bearings as planned. The garage is balanced now and goes up and down with extreme stealth. Honestly, it is wicked quiet. After he left, I grabbed an adult beverage and stood in the garage while I cycled it over and over, showing off the smooth glide of my door in front of all my neighbors who were outside on the hot summer evening. I could not be happier with the service. I will definitely be saving his number to my contacts.

Google5I found garage door star online and I know sometimes it can be iffy hiring people based off reviews, but Sam came down and put all my worries to rest! He replaced my garage door spring in no time at all! Super fast, communicative, and most important he was very professional and respectful. I know where I'm going for all my garage door needs from now on. Thank you so much!

Google5I called Sam when our garage door spring broke. He came out a few hours later replaced the spring and some rollers. He has our door working like new. He even offers military and senior discounts. Kind, fair, and skilled. Thank you Sam!
