Google1Called to get a repair quote for a garage door with broken springs. The person on the phone just gathered my information and told me they can send someone out. Didn't ask anything about the problem, and didn't say anything about any charge for coming out. The guy who came out gave me a quote for retrofitting the door with a different setup rather than repairing the current system. Then tries to hard sell me multiple times to do the work today after I've told him I'd consider the quote. When I tell him that I've got someone else coming out to give me a second quote, he pulls some service charge out of thin air, then argues with me about how I was told about it. The quote would have been in consideration if they had just given me the estimate and been willing to come back, but I'm not going to do business with a company that behaves this way. I'd hate to see what other nonsense I'd have to deal with.

Google1These unlicensed hucksters are trying to charge me $1500 for a repair. Not a brand new door... Note all their other "reviewers" that gave it good reviews only have one review, so it's not real people. When you call, they don't provide an estimate. They told me it would be $29 for an inspection, and that this fee would apply to the total work if performed. When they get there, they tell me I need new "carbonized diamond" springs to handle the weight of the door, quoted at $300 to last for 2 years, $500 to last for 5 years and $700 to last for 7 years. Like I sit there opening the door all day long. At each step, as the tech is disassembling it, he keeps adding charges that he didn't mention before like the drums or that the track was off. Final kicker, the $29 doesn't apply, and the door won't go up with the motor. He gets permission to tweak it but says it'll fail soon. Avoid these people. Go with someone who will give you a written estimate of the work.

Google3Called to get an estimated cost for balancing a garage door. Mine slides down when lifted half way and disconnected form carriage. Person I spoke with refused to give me an estimated price. He insisted that a tech has to come out and see for himself at a $30.00 cost. I asked what they have charged others to balance a door and person said he did not know. Not good customer service. Would have given lower stars but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they might do good work. I smell an upsell as they insist on setting up a visit. Beware.
