This company installed a new gate system at our community in June 2023. They did not bother to download any of the resident information into the new system prior to the install. NO ONE can get into the community. This is company inept, apathetic and sell terrible products. When you call them for help they have zero interest in helping you. Amy Mosey at Western Gate was especially rude and not helpful. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. COMPLETE SCAM. UPDATE August 2023 Our communities gate system still does not work. Staff at Western Gate does not return calls or care at all that their product does not work. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Amy Mosey made a great first impression by getting me info on Ascent M7 Gate Entry System in less than 1 hour. Needed quick bid for a gated community of 131 homes in Henderson. We selected the $6331 system and expected installation in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, from there, things went downhill: 1. We wanted our same 6 digit code for the keypad at our front gates. She NEVER told us the system limits codes to 5 digits. 2. Took over a month to get installation. 3. System has a built-in camera that captures photos of visitors that use keypad code. Nobody informed her installers to mount system at a height that captures photos of humans in cars so system was installed at wrong height which captures worthless pics of car rooftops. 4. TEN DAYS after install and NOBODY has educated us on how to use half the system features, like being able to phone into system to open gates during an emergency or NVEnergy outage. BOTTOM LINE: HOA board and Terra West management are NOT happy and not receiving help from Security Brands, the manufacturer of Ascent M7 system to even install our HOA logo to home screen on this $6,000 gate entry system device.

I called over a week ago to set up an appointment the girl taking my info on the phone didn't know much or couldn't even answer some basic questions then she said someone will call me to make an appointment to come out fix my iron front gate a week later still no call from them. Obviously this kind of small jobs don't interest them at all. Don't waist your time call someone else.

My side iron gate did not open or close very easily without a lot of force. Basically I had to kick it to open it or slam it hard to close it. I contacted Matthew through Yelp and he was very helpful. He gave me the option of being taught over the phone how to adjust the hinges myself. But I didn't really know what I was doing and just wanted to pay the hourly rate for them to do it for me. The two men came right on time and it only took ten minutes. And they were nice enough to do an additional quick, minor adjustment of my double iron gate on the opposite side of the house. Western Door and Gate is a well organized and professional contractor. I won't hesitate to contact them again if I have any future needs for door and gate maintenance.

I lost my remote garage door opener. After buying the wrong new one I tried Western Door support. Matthew Melton from support spent a good deal of time with me via multiple text messages and basically guided me step by step to resolve my problem (saving me a lot of money). I've never had this kind of remote support before. I would definitely recommend this company just based on this experience alone. Thanks Matthew

I was directed by my HOA to purchase a replacement Gate remote from them. The website was very easy to navigate and there was a live chat button in case you have any questions. Ross was great, patient and professional. The turn around time was about 24 hours and you have a choice to either have it mailed to you or pick it up yourself. Make sure to sign up for their email advertisement because they send you a coupon code within 15 minutes you use on your order.

Boo On this company. They originally installed my 2 driveway auto gates about 6 years ago. I was having issues and wanted them took at it. The gentleman comes out and was a very nice guy. We determined i really just needed a gate bolt. and he said it was $5 for the bolt and if i wanted him to put it on it was 119$. I said no thanks on the labor. $119 to put on a bolt that literally took less than 5 minutes was nuts. so he said i could just buy the bolt for $5. he called in to get an invoice from the office and they then tried to tell me i had to pay for a service call. I declined stating that no one ever said that there was a charge to come out. So they put me on hold to talk to the boss. They came back and said don't worry about the service charge and just pay for the materials. So they sent the invoice to the service guy waiting here and he scoffed and showed me the invoice. they were now trying to charge me $74 dollars for the $5 bolt. I told him never mind and to take his bolt back with them. I drove to the next nearest gate company and bough the bolt for $10. Will never talk to this place again, that was just plain ridiculous. Shame on them. i understand if they want to charge a service fee for coming out but you HAVE TO tell the customer prior to arriving not afterwards. There are plenty of places that offer free estimates to come out and look.

My side gates lock and door needed to be repaired. Looking at a variety of different companies on Yelp, we decided to call Western Door and Gate on a Monday morning. We spoke to the receptionist and she was able to give us an appointment for the next day after, on a Tuesday. She had provided a rough estimate of $95.00 per hour worked. The workers had called approximately 5 minutes prior to arrival on Tuesday. The two team members were friendly! I had the showed them the side gate and they knew exactly what to do to fix it! Within an hour, the Western Door and Gate team had fixed the gate. They had to bolt down the lock and lift the gate a few inches up from the ground, bolt the door back in with new bolts. I'm really happy with how the gate turned out! Thanks Western Door and Gate!

I ordered two remotes from Matthew and He was great. He even got me hooked up with a much better remote. I went and picked up the remotes the next morning because I didn't have time to get them that day. When I went in the office everyone was so pleasant. The girl that got the remotes for me even programed them for me and made sure I knew how to change the batteries and program them. She was just great. Nice people skills. I will tell all of my friends what a great place this is.

The previous owner of the house used this company for work on the gate back in April. He scheduled repairs to be made as I took over the house and gave them his credit card to pay. I confirmed this with Western, and they had his phone number (which is printed on the invoice), not mine to settle the payment. 5 months later in September I received a bill for the work marked past due, without hearing a word before that. When I called to explain the situation, Amber simply told me it was my problem and they would put a lien on my house if I didn't pay. These people are extremely hostile and rude, and not even knowledgeable in their threats considering a lien can't be initiated if the work is older than 90 days. They are lucky I am a bigger person then they are and paid it just to be done with them, rather than resort to idle threats without even trying to understand the situation. Terrible service and inept recordkeeping.

Next day service. Sent a technician Geary and apprentice DJ. Fixed the problem in short order and @ reasonable price. Another local company said they couldn't repair and would have to replace it (expensive to replace). Glad I got a second opinion. Thanks for being better at diagnostics and honest with your consumers! Well done Western! Call these guys first.

Recent experience with Western Gate was very good to excellent. While it took two trips and a different receiver than originally used to repair our patio gate opener the second tech did a lot of research and corrected the problem. If you have a remote that "buzzes" the locking mechanism to allow the gate to be opened this is the company to call when you need service or repairs. The original lasted 10 years and Western still had access to that particular receiver. Our tech Jerry was very personal, professional and what I would consider an excellent employee and representative of Western Gate. Could not be happier about the results. Thank you Hal

I was happy at first with their quick service but that changed when the adjustment on our garage door was not correct. I sent an email to the company two days later, no response; a month later, no response. Come to find out, they are no longer contracting with the Home Security service that paid them in the first place! Not even a courtesy reply.... bad customer service. Can't even follow up on their own work....

I am a board member in a small rural gated community. Recently our gate was vandalized and settings were altered. The gate was opening and slamming shut over and over, non-stop. I was pleased when I called Western Door and Gate. First because an actual person answered the phone and then because I was connected to a technician, Matthew who was able to trouble shoot the problem over the phone. He was patient with me and have simple instruction to resolve the problem without the cost of an emergency after hours trip.

Not good. While most reputable companies come out for a free estimate, this company stated in order for them to come out there would be a $95.00 charge. They stated that they might waive it if you chose them as the vendor. I cancelled the call at that point. Angie's List members need to know this before they contact them. Services Rendered: Needed to have someone come out and measure and give me pricing for two gates to my backyard.

I called Western Door and Gate on August 23rd to come re-install a security door. This company is in disarray their customer service and communication is horrible. It's been 30 days later multiple emails. Receptionist telling me they have only 1 person quoting Brian who has 1k quotes to donny himself and they do not have enough people to do the jobs. It's my fault I should have given up here but I didn't. At this point I have invested 3 weeks and they are promising me to handle it. We own and run 3 retails small busienss and volunteer 20 hours a week so for me to meet another company with a 2 hour window just sucks. So finally I get a quote with just the door not the additional work the first quote had. Then I call back to get an appointment o explain my frustration and my schedule is right they tell me Wednesday 20th 7am. Today they are supped to be here 7pm. I've called twice left a message but no call back, just called again and the same not nice woman Marissa answered said they will be here in 5 MJ ties that was 7:50. They just showed up at 8am when we have to leave in 30 minutes. Now let's see if they brought new hinge. NOPE the repair crew didn't have anything they where told to just show up. I've now wasted 3 hours and a lots of negative energy on this very simple door install. Do not use this company if you value your time and peace of mind.

The tech's name was Mike, pricing , punctuality and workmanship was excellent. Will use them on my commercial properties and will recommend them to others.

Be very careful of this company. I ordered welded aluminum gates and fences from them to be shipped to Guam. Instead of aluminum they sent steel which due to our humid island type climate will rust out in a few years. I told them the problem and they said they would like work something out, but 2 months later they have done nothing. I am out thousands of dollars and they just plain do not care. They do not return phone calls or respond to emails. How in the heck can they accept a PO that clearly states welded aluminum and then make the product in welded steel and then have it shipped 5000 miles as the wrong product, and then do nothing about it. I have never met them but I believe they are shady as hell. They have 0 integrity, I would have given them 0 stars but I had to give at least 1 star in order to post. Stay away from this company. Not only did they ship the wrong items but some items were missing and they were late in shipping.
