BBB1PREDATORY SALES PRACTICES!!! Weekend emergency call because door could not be closed due to broken spring. Not only did we pay $690 per spring for a $75 spring, they replaced both springs on our two car garage saying that it was best to balance them out. They replaced 12 rollers that shouldve cost $50 and we were charged $330, and they probably didnt need replacing anyway. They replaced two drum and cable units for $300 that shouldve been less than $50 each. In addition to this, they tried to sell me a replacement Genie drive for $1700 which cost $270 at *********** Even I could tell that it did not need to be replaced. After talking to his manager, the price came down to $1300. When I declined that option, they tried to sell me a $64 remote upgrade kit for $500. fortunately, I declined that as well. Unfortunately, I didnt research these costs until after the fact and was stuck with a bill over $2200 that shouldve been less than $300 including labor. shame on me for not checking. I hope that this review helps others avoid such a terrible situation.

Google1Total scam. "Point-man Simon" promised replacing support metal. I paid $1,050. They ended up simply hammering back the existing part. Would NEVER recommend this outfit. Some crooked Legend.

BBB1Very bad company that uses different names on the internet. Claims to be a professional local garage door repair company, but is not. Just a company that farms out jobs to local handymen. Charges excessive fees to cover their referral cost. Repaired our garage door for $2,100 with lifetime warranty. Claimed to replace items that were not replaced. Got it working for a few weeks, and then damaged more than ever and stuck in half open position. Called for repair under warranty. For 5 days in a row they said a repair person is on the way, but never showed up each day even though we had someone take off of work to wait. By the 5th day we gave up, and called an actual professional garage door repair company. They came out, and after 2 hours of work, repaired the garage door for $1,350 with a 5 year warranty. We highly recommend to avoid this scam company and choose an actual professional garage door repair company with a track record of satisfied customers. By the way, they never offered a refund, and fought the credit card company denying a rebate. Their answer was, take us to court. Disappointing that we have to leave even one star to publish this review. We feel this is a criminal company.

BBB1I called Legendary Garage Door Repair Inc in ******* because my one car garage door wont open. A guy named ***** came and told me the spring needs to be replaced and quoted $700 for the job. He lowered to $500 provided I pay in cash. Because I really need to get the garage door to work I agreed to get the work done. When job was completed he issued an invoice that says Garage ************ not Legendary Garage Door Repair Inc. After research I realized that the charge for spring replacement was too much. Beware of this company, they take advantage of customers who are in need of getting their garage to open!!

BBB1Total scam artists who should be in jail... It's a ****** company with local numbers that route to the main number. FYI, I'm in ******, *******************. Our garage door broke on Friday when a wheel that goes in the rail snapped. (one of 8). They came out quickly, replaced all 8, and charged ** $775. The door then broke again yesterday with a car inside that we had to get out asap. We called them again. The door wouldn't work because one of the 4 springs snapped, so they came out and installed 4 "heavy duty" springs for.............. $4800. ***************** says the national average for a garage door spring is $250. The best springs are $350. I gave them $2500 total and got hosed on that price. Worst part?? It still isn't right thanks to the semi-competent installer. I'm calling a legit installer tomorrow to check the door. Seriously, these guys need to be put down like bad dogs!

Google1This company is the same owner as Local Garage Door, Legendary Garage Door and Anchor Garage door. They charged me 996 dollars to replace a broken spring which did not fix the problem. I asked for a refund but they only gave me 100 dollars back. I will not use them again.

BBB1This company operates under several names and phone numbers. They replaced my garage door opener with a Genie. I never received the 2nd remote or keyboard pad, and importantly, the warranty, The invoice doesn't state the name of the garage door opener or breakdown of product and labor. They refuse to send me the actual warranty. I'm suspicious of this company. I suspect my product is used. I have called and emailed many times. I have filed a dispute with my credit card holder and expect to claw back their charge.

Google1Had my garage door fixed April 2020, they replaced the whole bracket system and cost me some significant money. Today I noticed the bracket came loose. Called in for warranty and tech came in. Without even checking and just taking literally a 30 second look he goes it will cost $245 to fix. I go I was told a service fee of $45 will be charged. The tech goes, oh that doesn't include the parts. I told him that they installed it improperly that's why it got dislodged. The tech claims that the bracket wasn't theirs. I told him that's not the original bracket, you guys installed it. I can even show you the neighbors it's completely different. I call the office and spoke to a lady and she said she doesn't know and has to go by the technicians diagnosis. She also claims that it says in the invoice that only parts are covered not labor. I ask her then show me a copy of the invoice I signed that says that. She goes they are not available as it's been two years. Sadly I am at the mercy of these people who first doesn't do a good job and second doesn't cover their work. I do not recommend these company at all.

BBB1Garage door opener failed after 25yrs use so knew I needed to replace. Usually I read reviews before hiring however in this case I didn't, found legendary garage door online and requested a service call for quote, technician was able to come out between 10-1pm, he finally called at 1:30 and said he was on his way and did I still need service. Yes of course and he arrived after 2pm checked out the opener and said yes its broken. How much to replace and he quoted a much upgraded initial for $1600 and I said no that's too much. What did I want to spend, I want a good one what else did he have, he quoted a chamberlain model and to remove old one and install a new it would be $550. Sounds good to me, issue is all prices were verbal nothing in writing which after the fact was a red flag not to purchase. He left and returned in half N hour with boxed opener. Removed old rail and opener but left all other hardware that was still good. After job was finished he invoiced higher amount 5% more if paying by credit card and left all old parts (rails, opener) bill came to $700. Would never use them again as so called warranty only applies if I use them

BBB1Garage door springs 218x28 needed repair and I was charged a total of $1,004.25. Quoted $450 over the phone, the tech said it would be $700 total (including labor). I agreed to that amount, but then he added an additional credit card fee of $29.25 and labor at $275.00 (30 min for installation). The invoice has a different name than the company name, that's when I knew something wasn't right. This company is price gouging, because I called two additional garage repair companies, gave them the size of the springs, and they said they would have charged half the price or around $500. I contacted the manager, Jake, and he would only take off $100 from the total. I asked to speak to the owner, but they would not put me through to the owner. Please don't use this company, I know I will never use them again and I'm also filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office as well.

BBB1My garage door spring had broken and these folks were able to come out same day to repair, I have no issue with the timing or quality of repair. two days later my daughters garage spring broke and she used a different company for the exact same service. Her repair bill was $200 for parts and labor. Legendary charged $775. I called twice to discuss the charges the next day and left messages with their customer service team. The supervisor would not return my phone calls. I certainly feel like I was gouged price wise on this simple repair and would not use these folks ever again.

BBB1BEWARE!<br/> Had garage door repaired saturday. Found Legendary Garage Door on internet, Ad said they were local, accepted Matercard and Visa and same day response. Checked YELP had fairly good reviews. Serve man got here in 1 1/2 hours diagnosed problem quickly, gave me price of $250 to replace sensors on door. Price a little high about $80 to much, but since responded so fast and had part on truck i agreed.<br/> <br/> Technician finished in forty minutes door worked fine. Asked if he would like payment with check or Credit card, he informed me that he would only take cash payment and nothing else. I told him ad said would take Master Card said he would not. Called company back on phone said Mastercard was acceptable told tecnician said it still was not. Asked Technician what other options he would offer. He said $30 for service call and he would tear out sensors and leave. Took $30 out of wallet and gave it to him just to get rid of him. Then he called boss on phonesaid he would take Mastercard ( do not think he talked to any one one phone just pretending, scam) Told me that there would be 10% charge of $25 to use credit card told him I would not pay any extra chages then he said 5% told i would not pay any extra fee for using card. Finally accepted credit card for $250 had portable credit card reader with him, signed on card reader screen. Then he told me I was taking money out of his pocket and he saw I had money in my wallet when I put the $30 back in and said he wanted me to pay him with the money i had in my wallet. I told him that it was my money and I was not going to give it to him. I asked for receipt he gave it to me on clipboard to sign I was placing it on his truck hood sign it easier and he yelled do not put anything on my hood, so I walked back in garage and put clip board against wall to sign. He gave me copy and left.<br/> <br/> I checked YELP and reviews were ok. afterwards I checked with with Better Bussiness Bureau found had many complaints for over charging, lying to customers about actual work being done. They had no credit rating at all. There advertisement stated they were local they are actually located 150 miles away in Van Nuys, Ca and were using a local area code phone number in Inland Empire area.<br/> I live in a gated community with guards and he got into with out getting pass, must have followed a resident in somehow. I checked with security to make sure he could not get back in. I am 72 and believe he was trying to take advantage of me being elderly and pushing me around. I am actually afraid to call company and file complaint because he might retaliate agaist me or my wife. He was actually not wearing a name tag and did not even give me his name. I will just have take it as a learning experience.<br/> <br/> I suggest if you place a service call with this company or any other to get information when they arrive. Like payment method, ID etc. so there is no problems at end.<br/> <br/> I do not understand how a large company can stay in bussiness for many years with no credit rating, Over charging customers, lying to customers and fraud. This company is really, really good at making money, overcharging, fraudulent advertising and elderly abuse. I do not understand how the government lets them stay in bussiness, they have offices accross US in differant names and same practices, They must post there own reviews with YELP somehow. I feel in my case they were targeting me because of my age (elderly abuse) and are going to get away it because i think they might retaliate against me and my wife, if I file complaint , and the time and cost to do anything legally is out of my budget.

BBB1DO NOT USE! They also have DBA's of TRX garage and gate repair and Jeffrey's garage door - already shady to start. They took advantage of my elderly mom and charged her $3000 to install a new garage opening system she did not even need. Please run the other way - do not use them - they will overcharge. Even still, the guy Nick didn't even finish the work.

Google5I had a problem with my garage remote that was working intermittently. The guy was extremely friendly, competent, polite, & knowledgeable. He was training a guy who is also very polite. He was honest to me about the issues I was having with my remote & garage door. He made me feel that in the future when other repairs need to be done I will have this company on my speed dial. His prices were also good!

Google5Great follow up and follow through . . . technician was a real pro and my job required real expertise. We had to practically rebuild a 50 year old garage door. A 20 minute job estimate turned into a 3 hour job, yet the price was still $1.75 less than the project estimate that I was provided before we started work. Great company!!!

Google5I had a great experience with this company and I definitely recommend! They were able to schedule service very quickly. The technician was on time, courteous, and clear about options for replacing my old garage door opener that was starting to fail. The pricing was also right in line with what I expected. My garage door opens/closes so smoothly now!!

Google5In addition to the quality of work that was done (replacement of garage door spring), I was very pleased with the communication and promptness. I received a phone call letting me know that my appointment was confirmed, verifying the appointment time and address. Then we received another phone call from the tech providing us with an update when he would be arriving to our home. He did a great job quickly repairing the issue, and getting our garage door working again. Highly recommended !
