Was given a time slot of 8-12. When I called at 2pm asking what was going on I was told my name was put on the books in the wrong time slot and my actual time was 12-4. Was also asked to send photos of the issue via email 1.5 weeks prior to the appointment date. After 2pm on the day of the appointment (after they had already messed up our time slot) they decided to actually look at the email of photos and then informed us that it was not something they could fix. So glad I wasted an entire day waiting for them and I still have a broken garage door.

Been doing business with this company for some time and sad to say we will no longer be using them. Staff is nice and professional. Work is satisfactory, but billing is very high (commercial side). This is due to the fact they send a two man crew for every job even if it doesn't require or need two people...aka..you are charged two dollars an hour. Adds up quick and a job that normally ran me 200-300 hundred is now over $500. Spoke with the company and they agreed to discount a 100, but I still paid over 400 dollars to have my motor reset, clean/lubed channels and move the control panel (very small like one you have in a home garage) on the same pole, but on the other side). Two men should be able to complete this task within an hour. We got billed for four hours. When I called, he told me it was because he sent two men out. This is a recent trend with plumbers too. Not sure about electricians. Often and maybe not the case here, but some businesses send an apprentice out with an experience worker and you end up paying for on the job training. Anyways, very disappointed! After three garage doors and some routine service runs we will no longer call on Overhead Door for future services. Profit is not a rude word. Hope any business, especially family owned make a FAIR profit, but sending two men to do routine service at almost double the cost is simply not a way of retaining loyal customers.

Not a very good experience with this company. I had nails in my driveway and one bracket that wasn't attached in original installation. Had several inches of water in my garage due to the seal at the bottom not sealing. Disclaimer: I do have a sloped driveway but my old door repelled 95% of the water. I had to bail for an hour to keep the water from reaching my basement. Called and they said to try backer rod and install a floor ridge. Didn't work. Service call and the technician was very friendly. He fixed the molding, added larger backer rod and adjusted my door but still a gap. Was told to call a concrete company to fix the uneven driveway. This despite the salesman telling me the new door would seal like the old door.

I will never be coming back here again for any services. First, when I drove to the office to ask them a question about my garage door remote malfunctioning, I was met with a woman who was working there with a horrible attitude. I asked her if the workers here could fix my remote, and she sent me to another worker in the office who helped me. This person was pretty nice, unlike the woman I had approached earlier. So I paid and left. But the next day my remote wouldn't work again, so I went back to the office to get it fixed. The same woman was there so I told her my problem, and she says, "This isn't our problem, it's your fault, I don't care." This woman was very rude and I highly suggest avoiding this office. I would give this place 0 stars if I could because of the horrible customer service. I could've gone somewhere else for the same price with a more friendly environment. I told all of my friends to avoid this office too.

Overhead Door Company is always a pleasure to work with. A year ago the circuit board on our motor went out and they were out promptly to fix it and we had no further issues with the motor. Recently, our spring went out so we took the opportunity for a full replacement. After ordering the door, I changed my mind about the style. I was certain it was too late to make any changes since the new door had already been ordered, but I called to ask anyway. The owner was willing to let me make changes to my order at his expense (which involved him buying the original door). I was frankly stunned at the company's eagerness to ensure I was happy, as I haven't experienced such excellent customer service in a long time. A few weeks later, the installer came to install our new door and it was beautiful. The install was without issue, but I wanted to achieve a better seal at the bottom, so again, the owner was willing to provide me with an aftermarket part, at his expense, to make certain I was completely satisfied. In closing, Overhead Door of Louisville is an exceptional company that I recommend without hesitation!

I called overhead door because their was a sticker with their company name and number. My garage door is nearly 20 years old with no problems till spring broke a few days ago. The technician Josh called me to let me know he was on his way and was a true professional. I was going to attempt to repair myself via you tube but I had second thoughts. Every question I asked of him was helpful to help me understand more about garage door. I also bought a new remote though them. Price for entire job was less than was quoted to me over phone. Always better to over quote! I would highly recommended using overhead and ask for Josh for your repair. Thanks Overhead!

Not sure where to begin on this one. Have never felt prompted to write this kind of review but feel like my story needs to be heard. A week ago I called Overhead Doors because we were having a failure with our door opener. Mechanically it was functioning, it would lift the door but then it wouldn't close it, it had to be closed manually. I called to get it looked at and they said it would be a week at the earliest that they could come out. I wasn't too happy about that because the garage is our main entry point in to the house and due to the design of the door there was no real way to secure it closed. I then asked if there was anything simple I could do to fix it since it seemed to be working in most respects. He said he wouldn't know until they came out to look at it. Fine. Yesterday was our appointment date and the tech was supposed to arrive between noon and four, at two I called and asked when he might be there. They told me it would be closer to four because we were last on the list. (even though I had called a week ago, we were last on the list). At four the service tech called and said he was going to be late. At 10 minutes after 5 he finally arrives. He then made a simple adjustment to the sensor mounted at the bottom of the door because it was out of alignment, something I could have easily done myself had I known. I learned then that there is a green light that tells you when it's out of alignment and allows you to know that it is. So it's essentially a feature of the product. Something the customer service rep could have easily told me over the phone to check on at the very least in my opinion. The service tech was only there for less than five minutes. He then proceeds to say he's going to give us a work order. That it was going to cost us over 80 dollars for the service call. I didn't agree with that, and so I asked him what the break down on it was. He said it was 60 for the call and the rest was for parts and labor. Labor? I told him he barely did anything. I said I would pay for the service call at the least but that was it. He refused to negotiate. I said fine, I would like to call the office and speak with someone, but their offices were closed at that point. I told him at that point I wasn't going to pay him and that I would go to their office the next day. And so I do... Went to their office on Jefferson St. today and asked the receptionist who I could speak with. He points to some guy standing behind him and says you can talk to him. If I was told his name I don't recall what it was to my own detriment. And, Oh, how I wished I had recorded the following. I explain to the guy my story and before I can even finish he quite angrily says "ARE YOU THE GUY WHO REFUSED TO PAY?" I said well yeah. but.."YOU NEED TO GET OUT RIGHT NOW!! LEAVE!!' I asked the guy again who he was and he says "I'M THE OWNER, GET OUT NOW!!" I promise you, that's exactly how it went down..I couldn't believe it. The guy looked like he was ready to rip my head off. I had to leave. I'm assuming they're planning to file some legal charge against me, I don't know, but there was absolutely no willingness to negotiate at all. Unbelievable. I have since called their corporate offices and hope to hear back from them soon. I'll update this review if and when I do but until then I would highly recommend anyone to avoid this company at all costs. If this is the way they operate they have no business being in business.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. Also, they are located directly across from a project and have no public parking.

A pleasure to do business with this company. I purchased two garage door remote controls online and received stellar technical and customer service from Jim. Thank you! I would not hesitate to call Overhead Door Company of Kentucky for any garage door needs.

Highly recommend! I called Overhead Door after calling another company that could not come out until the next day. The tech called me when he was on his way. They were there within 2 hours of my phone call. I can't say enough nice things about the tech Henry. He was polite, outgoing and seemed very knowledgeable. I had both springs replaced on my double garage door and the price was well below what I expected.
