Jay came out promptly that afternoon that we called and replaced a piece on the chain mechanism, recoiled the coils and got the garage door working properly. A few days later we noticed a metallic clicking sound kept getting worse, so we called Jay back out and he made some adjustments under the labor warranty and now our door is operating perfectly. Services Rendered: I use All American Garage Door company for all of my garage door problems for the multiple rentals that I have managed over the past several years. The latest work we had done was on our primary home which had come off the track and the coils needed to be rewound.

I have used this service provider three or more times on the same address. Each time, I have had to make more than one called to get someone to answer the phone. Sometimes I'll leave a message and I really can't tell that they check their messages. I think this is a"Mom and pop" operation. But, the results are very good once I have an appointment set. They usually are pretty flexible as to when they can meet me as the property is a rental property and I live out of town. The people who have come to perform the service have been courteous, and professional. But, here is the rub. Recently I had to have the "optics" of my garage door replaced. The parts alone were $129. I think this was probably at least twice what they paid. To add insult to injury, the company charged me a service call of $69, and then $30 for labor. He was there no one more than 30 minutes, and 7 to 8 minutes of that was talking to me about things other than my garage door. I have made two calls to correct this and have not heard back from them. I will amend this if they do the right thing and give me a partial refund. ADDENDUM: after three calls and leaving a message each time, I tried a different number and got the same woman who said she was just about to give me a call. I was professional in explaining how I had done my research, and a part they charged me $129 could have been bought, at the highest price I could find on Amazon, for less than $35. I pointed out to her that they charged me a service fee of $69 and she confirmed that that was just to get them to knock on my door. She said they charged me "half of what they would normally" for labor, which was 30 additional dollars. So, just for the guy to come to my house, examine the problem, and install the new part, all of which taking him 15 to 20 minutes, I was charged $99. At that point I told her that I had been a very loyal customer and that she could either do the right thing and give me a partial refund, I had $30 in mind, or I would make sure people knew that they were charging grossly inflated prices. She invited me to do that and wished me luck because "I've been in business for 35 years". So, I have today, January 29, reduced them to two stars. Please beware that they are going to charge you $69 just to get someone to your door before they do that first thing and if you require any parts, they will probably charge you 3 to 4 times more then it can be purchased on your own. In hindsight, I should have fixed it myself. But I don't live in Macon anymore. Garage door maintenance is not rocket science, and you can do it yourself. Avoid this company. Services Rendered: Replace the "eye" sensors on my garage door opener.
