Yelp5I've had my new garage door for 6 months and I still enjoy listening to its smooth operation and it's clean lines. 10\10 would recommend O'Brien to anyone looking for a valuable upgrade that increases the curb appeal of any home.

Yelp5A sprocket broke on my garage door opener. Called on Sunday afternoon, they were here on Monday promptly at the time agreed upon. Tom G was the technician, quoted a fair price and completed the work immediately. Professional and courteous.

Yelp1After getting three estimates for our garage door replacement we decided to go with O'Brien. What a huge mistake! It is Saturday afternoon, April 16 at 3pm. On our first attempt to order the garage door, The phone was answered by what sounded like a very young girl we explained that we wanted to put the order through she asked for our address and then promptly hung up on us! We immediately called back it rings and it goes right to voicemail and then after waiting on hold we were prompted to leave our name and number which we did. We then found another phone number for them and we called that number, an imbecile by the name of Luke answered. My husband told him we were not very happy because of what just happened, this nitwit said nothing, no,...I am sorry that happened to you, nothing, he just repeated this is Luke from O'Brien garage! We were pretty shocked! he completely acted as if he didn't hear my husband at all! In fact I ended up asking him did you just hear what was just said? I thought maybe we had a glitch in the phone or something. But he said no he heard. Even after I told him he should really apologize, he absolutely refused and then he hung up on me! Stay away from O'Brien garage there's lots of other great companies out there that are willing to do the work and can be polite at the same time! What a concept!

Yelp4I would have given 5 stars, but the call center was not good. At one point I said "do you want my business?" but Thomas was great! So I kept calling and calling, and finally got it set up. I used to go with a different company and they really took advantage of me, which i kinda guessed, but my suspicions were confirmed when Thomas came out and showed me what was wrong. Great experience. I will call the next time I need help with my other garage door. Thomas even fixed my remote and that TOTALLY MADE MY DAY! it really is the little things. Thanks Thomas!

Yelp5I don't often write reviews but couldn't pass up the opportunity to give a shout out to our Technician Thomas. Last week we had a power surge that "knocked out" several things such as a new thermostat, (had to be replaced) TV & Cable, (had to be re-programmed) and the garage door opener. The door stopped about a 1/3 of the way up so I had to pull the Red cord to release and close it. I called O'Brien and made an appt. for the following day. Before they arrived I was using it manually and one of the spring cables broke, the door fell of the track and basically crumbled into a mess!! I was afraid the technician would be upset that it wasn't in the notes (because it happened 20 min before they got here) and figured it would turn into a re-schedule. However, Tom arrived, looked it over and said "don't worry, I got this" saying he didn't want to leave us with a half opened broken door overnight. He basically re-built the door with brackets, completely fixed/re-built the track, replaced several hinges and re-programmed everything. I even overheard his kids calling to make sure he was okay around 9:30. Tom - thank you!!! You truly saved the day and also gave us our security back! I'll be calling O'Brien when I replace the door and recommend them to everyone in the mean time...

Yelp5One fateful Sunday afternoon a couple weeks ago, my wife left to do some shopping and I heard a strange metallic clanging sound from the garage after she left. It turned out that one of the garage door springs had snapped. We did some quick research on local garage door repair places and I called Monday morning, starting with O'Brien. They up front gave me an estimate and said they could get there same day. That was good enough for me to not call around and just give them the shot. Thomas came by later. He was super nice and explained things well. In a non-pushy way, he pointed out some potential problem areas for our 20-year-old garage door. My wife and I talked it over and decided we'd rather replace the door than put the money into repairing such an old thing. That same week, Thomas came back to put in the new door. Overall, the experience was great. He's really friendly, professional and good at explaining what he's doing and what's going on. This having happened amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Thomas was very responsible by wearing a mask whenever near me and keeping appropriate distance. It gave me confidence that O'Brien and Thomas are taking precautions seriously. The end result is a brand new door that's been working great. I would work with O'Brien again in a heartbeat. From the scheduling to the installation, it was a top-notch experience. #yelplove

Yelp5This was our second year working with O'Brien and they did a really nice job tuning up our garage doors, rails, and motors. This year, our technician found that our cables were rusting at the door, where failure of these would damage the door. He replaced these and the price was well worth it. They do good and timely work and are very reasonable and thoughtful.

Yelp5We picked O'Brien over the other options simply because they could get us in for an appointment the same day we called, which all other companies could not. We were VERY PLEASED with our service! They showed up right within the promised window of time, and even called ahead to let us know they were on there way. Ramon was outstanding at showing us what our problem was, giving us our options for repair, and our quote was very reasonable. Ramon replaced the spring and got our garage door back up and working within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this company.
