Gerald Giel Garage Doors really impressed us and showed why everyone we asked had recommended them. They were very quick, from replying to my first contact to showing up, giving us a very good estimate, and then having the door replaced within a couple days. The work crew was very polite and respectful, and seemed very efficient in their work flow. They did an outstanding job and we couldn't be happier. Giel was the BEST price around the surrounding area and more by a minimum of $200 less than everyone else on a new torsion bar! It was $250 out the door! WOW!!! Jeff was friendly & quick also put new rubber and put back up my weather stripping on the bottom of my garage door! The service was quick & worked perfectly with no trouble I He was right on time & called when he was on his way! I recommend them 100% for any garage door issues! I am 100% satisfied and will use them again when needed! Thank you Jeff!!!

We recently purchased two 16' garage doors with openers from Gerry Geil Garage Doors. Couldn't have had a better experience. Gerry personally came out on a Sunday for the initial visit to talk over what we expected. He visited a few more times and left samples of doors with the finish that we chose so we could experience how they would clean up after they sat outside for a few weeks. That sounds odd but we chose a flat black finish and he wanted to be sure we knew what we were getting ourselves into with a flat black finish. After the sale and the installation we had a minor issue with one door making noise and he sent two installers the next day. Also, when I reached out to Gerry about the noise from the one door we talked about the one opener and it's features that I was expecting, he had his installers install another opener with the options that I wanted at no extra charge. My wife and I could not be happier with our new doors and openers. Also, his installers were very professional and pleasant fellows to have at our home. We both highly recommend Gerry Geil Garage Doors for your next garage door.

We Love Love Love our New Garage Door from GERALD GIEL GARAGE DOORS in Butler PA and so do my neighbors!!! There was something always missing when we bought our house ten years ago and now we know what that was, my Beautiful new Garage Door. We were also very impressed with the young men who did the installation. They were Professional, Friendly and Respectful. This was not our first experience with this company. When our old garage door broke, we called Gerry Giel and two hours later there were two other employees at my door ready to fix my problem, which they did. We would highly recommend GERRY GIEL GARAGE DOORS.

I have nothing but praise for Gerald Giel Garage Doors! We had an unfortunate incident where a vehicle slipped out of gear and we needed a new garage door. Sent a message after hours for a quote, and received a call (still after hours!) to schedule the next am to look at the door and confirm what was needed. They were on time- courteous and thankfully had the same door in stock. It was freezing outside, but they were able to schedule installation for the next morning. (Once again on time and friendly / clean staff.) .....This is what really impressed me: Unfortunately, we had a slight problem a month later. I emailed the company on a Saturday, and by Monday AM- there was a crew at our door to rectify the issue. From sales to service (and standing behind the work they do)- this company is top notch and I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else in the future! would recommend!

Thank you SO much for coming to our rescue!! I called because the garage door wouldn't open which means I couldn't get my car out and couldn't take my daughter to daycare. The gentleman came out same day and fixed the spring. Absolutely wonderful!! Problem solved.

I called for help regarding compatibility between my Homelink opener in my vehicle and my Liftmaster garage door opener since Giel had installed and serviced the openers.. The individual I spoke with was rude and condescending. He told me he could send a technician out to go through my garage door manual with me or I could just call LiftMaster. He was insulting. He added that they only do installations and repairs. He could've led with that a bit more politely. If I need a new garage door opener, I will go somewhere else. After reading his reply, my response is, "It's not what you said, it's how you said it."

I recently needed new garage doors. I originally went with one company that tried to completely rip me off and over charge me. A few friends of mine told me to call Gerry Giel, and that was the best decision I made. He immediately contacted me, came to my residence and really went above and beyond to make a stressful situation easy. He installed my new doors with in a day, his team that works for him were friendly and professional. Gerry really went above and beyond to help me and when I was speaking with his employees, they made it very clear he always puts his customers first. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks soo much for all your help and the professionalism that went behind this.

$200 an hour?!?! Over the phone the guy said the Job will be $200 if they have to replace the belt or bar. They didn't have to replace anything just adjust it!! $200 later they called us back once and never heard from them again. The only reason I gave them 3 stars was because the guy The owner of the house was my fiancé Bill Guyton! Look back at the records and see what was done and how much was charged!

This is less than 1 Star service! This is the worst customer service that I have ever experienced! Our garage door was getting stuck from time to time so called them to come out. They never told us it was a $75 fee, but the worst was they never said they couldn't work on GeNie garage door openers. They are a garage door company so we thought they could help. The service guy told me if they worked on them he could just go into his truck, get a part, and fix it, but since they don't work on them all he could do was replace it for over $400. He "fixed" some hinge that made our door inoperable. So we had to pay $85 for a broken door. We called the owner and he was in the defensive from the get go. He was to just tell us how long he's been in business and blah blah blah. He was very aggressive and had zero customer service. What kind of business wants to just there wreck their reputation for $85. So sneaky to not tell us upfront how much or that they do not service our type of opener. I would never use them! Run the other way!

Excellent product, installation, price and communications. Gerry was the first one to show up to give me a bid; he answered all my multitude of questions in full and comes with a truckload of door and framing samples to best illustrate the differences in product. Although I wanted the more insulated product, he made sure to inform me about and let me know that the less expensive product would also serve me well. There was less than a week install time and his prices were by far the best out of 4 bids. He encouraged me to get other bids as he said with a laugh " it makes me look good". I felt grateful for such an easy transaction and honest exchange. Jeff the installer was friendly and all about getting the job done. He cleaned up after himself , answered all my questions and explained the minimal door care info. It took him 3 hours to replace my single car garage door. On Initial install date, an installer called off sick so we rescheduled a few days later. Gerry called me first thing in the AM so I wasn't kept unnecessarily tied up for the day. Overall outstanding experience.

The installer did a good job putting the door in, except he must have somehow tangled the wiring to the opener. So after the garage door was used a few times, the opener stopped working. I called Mr. Giel this morning and he told me it was an opener issue which he did not replace and that he would not send someone out because his company is in Butler and I live in the south hills of Pittsburgh. So I got on a ladder and looked at the opener and found that the wiring was tangled and completely ripped off of the screws on the opener. I’m handy enough and was able to redo the wiring, But I’m 72 years old and don’t relish climbing on a ladder to make a repair that Mr. Giel should returned and fixed. Furthermore this was a garage door for my daughter and she would have had to call a different garage door repair man and pay that person. So I called mr. Giel back and told him I was angry that he wouldn’t repair something that failed less than 24 hours after the installation. He kept insisting that he didn’t replace the opener. I told him he compromised the wiring to the opener which eventually led to the failure. He said it was working when he left. I told him that if he wouldn’t honor work he does in the south hill because of the distance from his home, he shouldn’t take jobs in the south hills! I told him I was going to write a negative review of him. The conversation got heated and he ended up calling me a steaming piece of ****. Nice businessman. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this company.. Services Rendered: Installed a new garage door

We had a garage door opener that quit working after many years of service. Have had previous experience with the business so it was a no brainer to have them install a new opener. Called them late yesterday morning knowing it was too late for service that day. They were here at 8 am and in a little over one hour had the opener in place and operational. The business owners and the servicemen are responsive, professional and provide great service for a reasonable fee. Would strongly recommend them for garage doors, openers and entrance doors as well. I came across this company at the home and garden show. I called later that week to schedule a estimate. This was the second company out of seven I contacted to provide a bid on replacing two garage doors. The bid was the lowest by $300 but I choose another company, here's why. Out of the 5 bids I received 4 of them measured my garage doors at 78 X 96. Giel measured it at 72 X 96. He gave me this big speech about why he needed to reframe my doors because of low headroom. Because of that I was going to lose 6 inches of Clarence at the entrance to my garage. I mentioned this to the rest of the companies that came out and they all said I just needed a double track and no framing was needed. Just guessing but he probably got stuck with 2 custom doors and tried to dump them off on me. Read his other reviews and look how often people say he did framing work for them.
