Yelp1The worst business experience I've ever had. I called for an appointment for a repair on my double garage door. I was given 3 different appointments all being no shows. Each time leading me to believe they were in their way. I got many texts making no sense whatsoever, I was called back only to find out I was called by mistake while the phone was in his pocket. Mailbox is full message when you want to get in touch with them. I've posted part of the text conversation between us.

Yelp1Made 3 appointments and they no-showed all three times, all within a 5 day period. No phone calls from them at all. Excuse each time.. No communication. Terrible company to do business with.

Yelp1This company (if you call it that) is absolutely horrible! The guy (says his name is John Webster) showed up late, after rescheduling once already! He charged me $210 to replace 2 door springs, 2 pulleys, and a cable. 6 weeks later one of the springs broke! I called him to come fix it and he jerked me around for two days about coming to fix it. He finally showed up (the second day) three hours after he said he would be there. Then he tried to charge me another $110 to replace the spring he had just put in. He claims he was just charging me for the labor but it only took him 20 minutes. When I argued back he dropped the price to $80. He's a creep and I never want him at my home again! I drove by the address on the business card and it doesn't exist (it's a parking lot). DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY - HE'S A FRAUD!!!

Yelp1What the heck is wrong with this guy??? Is he a drunk? Late stage Alzheimer's patient? He is so quick to take money, but never shows to install door. I've gotten the runaround for months. I ordered and paid for a custom carriage-style door from this bozo 5 months ago. First he said it was delivered to him missing a panel, then he said he 'drove over' it, then he said it fell over and got smashed. All I want is my door (intact) or my money back. I would never trust him to install it! Hiring an attorney next & a call to the police dept. This man is a crook!!!!!

Yelp1This guy is a total fraud. He will lead you to believe he is the reputable Overhead Door of Providence. He will claim he's been to your house before. He will show up, then proceed to overcharge you and demand payment on the spot.

Yelp1john webster wrote his own company review.thought you couldn't do that.well just beware of this guy in his rented budget truck.he's a big rip off.he put a garage opener in with springs and it didn't work the first day, just sometimes and charged me $1107.00.well lucky for me i got to cancel the check so i let him back in to take his opener and springs out and he ripped a big chunk out of my oak door.he's also not insured or licensed.he first gave me a price of $600.00.i have a 16ft x 9 ft door oak.1/2 hp was not enough power and at the start of thewhole deal after 2 days i said i wanted it out and he said his BOSS would give me the $467.00 for the opener but he was going to charge me $633.00 for the labor and springs.i said no way.john webster should not be trusted he lied and did a bad job on installation.checked him out at bbb.i could go on and on about my ordeal in 1 week. i think everyone got my point. i also heard back from the company that made the garage door opener and they told me there should of been 2 lights front and back the back of my opener had tons of wires hanging, exposed it never did look right to me it looked like one half of an opener the springs that were on my door has to be custom ordered because my garage door is huge the ones john put on had brackets and bolts at each end there was 4 .one was new and shiny the others were old.i was told there are no brackets or screws at the end of the springs.were they my old ones repaired, maybe thats why opener didn't work,he also told me he opened my old garage door opener and it was burnt out.i wonder why he had the time and why he would bother with a broken,so he claimed,to open it.maybe for parts.he does do a hack job. i made a big mistake letting him back in because the new installer had to come and weigh door to know which spring i would need because he took the springs out.i told him the new installer would take his out it was included in the installation price but he said he didn't want anyone taking it out.he was afraid it would be damaged and he wants to resell it.i can't help but think those were my springs he repared and took with him.i was told to take pics so i did .he also threatened to put a contractors lean on my house.ha ha i hope he does.he also putvaseline all along the side of the outside trim.john said it would open and close easier.WATCH OUT FOR JOHN WEBSTER BEWARE

Angi1When I met with John he requested half of the money up front to buy all the materials. John scheduled dates and broke all of them. His voice mail was always full and the times he finally answered his phone all he gave me was too many excuses. The address on the invoice was 19 Fay St Cranston, RI. I went there twice to try to find him and the building was closed. After calling him so many times he finally came and finished the job. I will never use his service again. Services Rendered: Installed two new garage doors.

Angi1They were terrible. They came out and wrote a contract, took a deposit, walked away, and the chase was on. They kept me waiting for 3 months with promises and excuses. We scheduled dates to do the installation but they didn't show up and didn't even call. That's not very professional to me. I wrote them an email letting them know I was using somebody else. I've also written a note telling people not to use them. Services Rendered: I had a contract with Rhode Island Overhead Door.

Yelp1I called this company to replace my garage door opener. They missed the first appointment, the second and third appointments. When they finally did arrive it was in an unmarked truck. Nothing on them with a company logo. They replaced the garage door opener at a cost of $660. Then they gave me ONE remote. I asked them for 2 more, they 'promised' to bring the remotes in a couple days. Two days passed, no remotes. I called and was told they were out of spare remotes. Called a week later, still no shipment. Called again almost two weeks later. We called this company 6 times over these remotes. When they finally claimed they had the remotes and we made an appointment at their convenience for Saturday morning at 11am. No one showed. I do not recommend this company to anyone unless you want broken promises and run arounds. I feel I have been scammed from the start.

Yelp1Our garage door broke in October 2012, so we called RI Overhead Door . After calling to reschedule (3) times, John (the owner) finally showed up 1 week later. He charged us $180 to replace some springs and hardware. Three weeks later in November 2012, the door broke and all the new hardware John replaced was hanging off the door, cables everywhere and pieces all over the floor! We called John back and he said he would be over that same day. He NEVER CALLED AND NEVER SHOWED UP. We called again the next day, same thing....this happened for 1 week! He made up all kinds of excuses, his mailbox was always full and he blaintenly never called or showed up to fix our door. We called Sears garage door service, they came the very same day and advised us that John (RI Overhead Door) replaced the COMPLETE WRONG PARTS. I attempted to contact John again and he continued to dodge our calls. I even contacted the better business bureau and he never responded to them either. **CONSUMER REBEWARE** Please *DO NOT USE RI OVERHEAD DOOR - THIS GUY IS A CROOK AND HE DOES A HACK JOB * My wife and I are now out $180 for absolutely nothing. Horrible customer service and unprofessional work - 100% BAD REVIEW!!!

Angi1John made several (8 ? - 10?) scheduled dates to perform the service, but broke all of the dates. He would make several excuses - he went hunting, his employees quit, went fishing, he was too busy, etc. He came three times to review the situation (since months had elapsed between his scheduled construciton dates). On at least three other occasions, he made a date, but failed to come or call. In May of 2012, he promised again to do the work, but I told him that he was unreliable, and I desired not to do business with him. I would caution anyone against having him do any work. Services Rendered: John came in the summer of 2011 and reviewed the situation, provided quotes for alternate solutions to my existing two 8 x 7 doors which were too small for my cars. I desired two alternatives1) A single 18 x 7 door2) two 9 x 7 doors. His price quotes were lower than several other contractors
