Google5We have used Carriage House Doors nearly exclusively for years. Their quality and craftsmanship just can't be matched. If you're in the market for garage doors or gates, I'd highly recommend working with them.

Yelp3Was finally able to end SIP and have a painter come out and paint the door panels that have been sitting in my garage for a month+. I then scheduled an install which after a little fussing got scheduled for a week out. The installer did a good job. The track is sturdy, the open/close is quiet. The door looks great new. I had an outside pad put in, not the opener is phone connected too. I only have one gripe and it's a pretty big one - they go on and on in the warranty about caulking, priming, and double painting the doors. The raised panels are like MDF and can't get wet. I'm lucky I have a north facing house too so the sun doesn't age the wood and paint too quickly. I had asked for a double steel insulated door thinking it would last my life time. I got a double steel insulated door that someone stuck MDF and that requires the kind of regular maintenance that wood trim does. I paid $I000 to do a thorough paint job which increases the door cost by 20%. I wouldn't have bought the door if I'd known.

Yelp5We are the second owners of the house and had dry rot issues with our wood garage doors. We had trouble finding the original installer and at the end reached out to Carriage House Door. We got connected to Doug. Doug was very responsive, courteous, and professional. He was able to come out and have a look at the issue. Doug confirmed that Carriage House Door did not install the doors, but told us that he would help with the problem. Doug not only identified the type of wood used on the doors by the original installer, but was able to provide us with the wood boards. It got even better when he offered to cut the wood to size and rout it so the boards would fit the original edges and geometries. A few vertical boards needed some adjustments and Doug told me to bring those boards over to get those taken care of. After a few days the boards were ready for pickup. When offering and insisting to pay for this fantastic service Doug was determined that this was all free of charge! I removed the old dry rot infested wood boards and fixed the underlying issues. Next, I installed the boards form Carriage House Door, stained the wood and applied several layers of clear coat. Now the doors are like new!

Yelp2I've got a carriage house door coming to replace the cheap windowless original builder door. The construction and look appear to be very good, but I'm unhappy about the paint options. I just want a white garage door and they only deliver primed. That makes the painting SO much more difficult to do well. Either the pieces need to arrive and be painted in my garage, then installed or the molding removed and the door partially opened so that the door can be painted as well as possible installed. It would be so much easier to do it at manufacturing time. When I talked to Carriage House Doors I got a rude lady that told me it was an EPA thing... as if painting in a controlled environment would be better that painting in the field or as if painting the finish coat would be so much worse than the primer coat they already do. It's also going to be much more expensive this way. I'll write again after the doors are installed and painted.

Google5Our family has purchased doors from here for quite some time and we have to admit that this place offers great service and a great product. If you are in the market for a custom Garage door you should definitely consider these people. They specialize in wood doors and steel doors with would overlays to accomplish that carriage style by parting door look.

Yelp1Another customer called me and told me he had a similar problem but because he was a known contractor they came out and fixed the problem. No such luck for me. The doors still look like they were built by amateurs.

Yelp5Recently bought a 1938 house with the original garage doors still in place. The hardware was no longer working and the doors just weren't fitting our needs. Wanted a door that matched the period and Carriage Door came through!! Great company to work with and local!! We wanted to support local business and these guys didn't let us down! Great product.
