Google1If you want to be treated fairly and not get ripped off, please use a different company. I contacted the number for Prompt Garage Door. I received two calls back from two different numbers and two different people confirming a tech was coming. Someone came out from 24/7 Garage Door who told me he was contracted by Prompt Garage Door when I asked why PGD was not there. My tech left today after 45 minutes of work and a nearly $900 charge for me. While I was glad a tech came same day to assist with my garage door that would not go down, I am absolutely shocked at the cost of work and materials used to fix the problem. The tech gave me an initial estimate of roughly $500 to fix some small cracks in my metal door that were not allowing the garage to close and for a tune up. He repaired my door by removing a top piece of metal from my garage door and attaching to the back to stop the bowing. Leaving no metal cap on the top of the door. Then he charged me $250 to use a piece of metal from my door and attach to another spot. He told me my sensors were not working properly-they had been-I just had bowing in my door, not a sensor problem. When I went out again he had replaced my sensors with new ones and charged me $390, with no estimate before he did it. The total quickly went from $500 to nearly $900. I was shocked! I am not even sure he did a tune up. He told me it isn't his price policy "it's his company price." Then he offered 10% off when I questioned his pricing and use of my materials to fix it. When I tried to pay with my AmEx, he said he wanted cash, check or Venmo. Do most people have $900 on hand to pay for 45 minutes of work? I got totally ripped off as a woman who needed to get her door fixed ASAP. While I am happy that my door closes now, it was definitely not worth the roughly $900 I got taken for. I am sickened that I got taken advantage of in a desperate situation. I would not recommend this company.

Google1Were not prompt, I had an appt at 9am. Bumped me back to 11 and came at 1230. 3.5 hours late. Not sure if a real prompt representative came. He showed up in an unmarked beat up van. Never will take service from an unmarked, unbranded vehicle again. Said he'd call ahead of showing up and didn't. I'd already had another repair service take care of it in the mean time

Google1I did not like our experience with this company, will never use their services again. We got a quote for $250 to do a tune up (our garage doors had a very slight tilt at the very top so it looked like they weren't closing down all the way). We thought ok, $250 is reasonable to make some small adjustments with labor. The technician started working and when he was done the price was almost double because he didn't mention that it didn't include labor. Again, it was a very minor adjustment of a few screws with a drill, took less than an hour between talking and all the opening and closing of the doors. There were no special tools used that we didn't have ourselves. We felt the price was not communicated accurately. I don't know what happened - whether it was a misunderstanding or a language barrier, or we're just stupid. At the end, it felt like a scam because $250 to adjust some screws is a REALLY steep price if it doesn't include labor. I typically would not be this upset but we're about to have a baby and didn't expect to have to pay almost $500 for something so small. We would have appreciated clear communication BEFORE work began or to at least let us know that labor fee is not included. It's ok if the labor fee is an estimate - we understand that sometimes it's hard to know how long something will take and what kind of effort is required. BUT if you're not communicating that at all, that's dishonest. The technician put us in an extremely uncomfortable position -- it was a very awkward conversation and we felt blindsided. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Google5Their team was professional and friendly, and they provided excellent customer service. They quickly responded to my request for a garage door repair and were able to install a new door in no time. They even went above and beyond by recommending additional services like spring replacement and cable repair. I was very impressed with their work and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of garage door services.

Google5Over the years I have used many different companies and services for my garage door repair, but Prompt Garage Door did a great job. They were more than willing to help me out. I've also used their services to replace my garage door seal on one of their backup units for a 15 year old unit. The employees always stay with you to make sure you're happy with your work and that it's done properly.
