$900 to replace 2 garage door springs (30min) $70 to come out, I understand, but for a senior on fixed income...I regret not getting more bids.

One of the lifting wires for our garage door broke this morning, trapping our cars in the garage. Called Overhead Door and arranged for a technician to come by later in the day. The technician showed up a hour before the service window & fixed the problem within 10 minutes of his arrival. I'm very pleased with how things went. Overhead Door will be my "go to" company for any future garage door needs.

My garage door fell off of its mounting on a cold winter night back in 2016 due to the incompetence and shoddy parts of one of Overhead Door's competitors. I called Overhead Door and the technician came out and spent at least 2 hours getting the door operational again. He charged me a very reasonable price. Later on in 2017, I had Overhead Door install a new garage door (due to having the house re-sided). They didn't try to sell me "extras" and the new door has operated flawlessly for the past couple of years. I highly recommend Overhead Door of South Bend and thank their excellent service and installation personnel for excellent work.

Highly recommend this company for any maintenance or repairs. A couple of years ago, my old garage door had came off the track on one side. Being fairly new to the area still, I did not know who to call but after my research, I came across Overhead Door. My door was fixed the next day in an hour's time. So when my recently new garage door would not open/close properly yesterday (with my car stuck inside), I knew who to call. I sent in a request last night, and received a phone call this morning to schedule a time window for someone to come out. The service guy was here within the hour of my two hour window and he had my door back to normal operation in an hour. The service guys both times were very nice and were willing to explain to me what went wrong and what needed fixing.

When my 70 year old mother accidently locked her clickers in the garage and called the company, they said there was nothing the could do! She just paid for it recently, probably not given a good deal, and they provided NO customer service. She could provide ID. They were NO help whatsoever!

Prompt service. Quality work. Technician was on time and completed work rather quickly. I used the Valparaiso location and would recommend them for your next garage door repair.

Woke up, went to leave for work this morning, and the cable on the opener snapped. I couldn't shut the door (even manually) so I called overhead door. Great service, said they couldn't be out till early afternoon but to my surprise showed up maybe 40 min. later. Dustin was my repair guy and was awesome. He checked everything, answered my questions, didn't mind me hovering around watching either. Everything is working better than it ever has. Thanks guys!! oh, price: 99 for the service call and some cost for parts. Total: 132.00 For day of service in fact 1hour service I thought that was pretty great.

I am just SICK about my experience with Overhead Door. I had a service man come out to look at my garage door light, which wasn't working. I read the manuals, went on line and had some friends look at the light casing, but even after changing the light bulb, I couldn't get it working. Since it is now winter and dark outside by the time I get home from work, it started to get a little scary to drive into a dark garage, so I finally broke down and called the original installer, Overhead Door. They charged me $97.60 for a $1.50 light bulb. Apparently, there is a special light bulb for these garage door openers, so PLEASE make sure you try this before paying as much as I did for a 5 minute repair call. The service person was very apologetic about the charge. I did call the office after he left to discuss, but they stated that it is $96 an hour for their service. I wish they would have troubleshooter with me over the phone first as I am certain this wasn't their first experience with a call like this. I truly feel robbed!!
