Yelp1I called this company to get an estimate. Unbeknownst to me they charged me $135 just to come to my home. I did not feel comfortable when the 3 guys that came said "we don't carry that cable" but then they still proceeded to look at it and then the spring broke, so what was going to be a very small job turned into a much larger replacement of the whole system. I said how much now and one man said oh we don't know, we'll have someone call, no one did call. When I called to ask about it, a man said "the service call is $135 but if you use us to fix it it will be combined in the job of $512. But I said no one told us about the $135 service call. He very scarcastically said "DID YOU ASK? They certainly didn't get my business----I called a company that came to my home for free with an estimate from Port Matilda and it cost $400 to fix.

Google5Due to a minor collision on a Friday afternoon, my garage door was stuck halfway up. I was unable to open or close the door without doing further damage. I called Overhead Door and they said someone could stop by to look at it shortly. Within an hour, 2 guys were there. They fixed the door within 20 minutes! Very pleasant and professional individuals. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had repairs done by this company. Each time has been a pleasant experience!

Google3I have had mixed experiences with Overhead Door of Nittany Valley. The company serviced our doors in a very timely and professional manner for a number of years (we had several incidents where the opener malfunctioned and then a spring broke). We then decided to replace the door and mechanisms because we wanted a more energy-efficient door. The door was delivered and installed as promised and we're happy with it except for cold air blowing in at the top. We have been corresponding with the owner for months to get an additional weather strip put on it because cold air, plus a handle on the inside to make it easier to open when it has to be used on manual override. (Our electricity went out twice this year and it was difficult for me to open the door without a handle.) We paid the entire installation price but can't get post-installation service. Now, I see the company working at my neighbors house and it has still made no effort in the past 5 months to install the weather stripping and handle on our door despite multiple text exchanges and requests. Very disappointed.

Google5My wife and I recently purchased a property in Milroy and could not get one of the garage doors to open. I called late Friday morning trying to setup a service call not expecting it to happen until the following week. I not only had the garage door fixed that afternoon but Denny came out the same day to measure for two door replacements. I was very impressed with their customer service and prices and will definitely be using them for all my garage door needs in the future.

Google1I have never been treated as poorly as I have been by this company. My first appointment was for 3/29 in the afternoon. When nobody showed up by 4:30, I called and left a message. Shortly after, Craig called me back to tell me they had had an emergency and when could they come again. I said that the only time I had on Monday was between 2:00 and 3:15. He immediately said they could make that. Monday morning as I was taking my mother to the doctor around 10, I got a call from one of the service techs telling me that they were at my house. I explained that they were to come between 2 and 3:15. He said that they had an emergency so they just decided to come. My problem had to do with the opener in my car so I said there was no way they could look at that. There was a problem with the one keypad. He said they would look at it and Craig would call me to reschedule. They did replace the keypad on the second door. Today is Friday and I hadn't received a call to reschedule - for the third time - so I called. I called and spoke with Denny who told me that they had been here 3 times and I wasn't home any of those times and that I couldn't just expect them to come when it was convenient for me. I couldn't believe it - he was rude and obnoxious and not once said he was sorry for the confusion or inconvenience or anything else. Unbelievable.

Google5Great experience, they were able to work with my schedule to replace the extension springs on my garage door. Quality work and reasonable pricing, would recommend for any garage door repairs.

Yelp5We had a cable disconnect on our garage door (rusted out at attachment point) - I called Overhead Door Company of Nittany Valley (late on a Friday morning) and the woman answering the call was very friendly and accommodating, trying her best to arrange the repair before the holiday weekend. They had someone at our house within an hour and had it repaired in under 2 hours from my initial phone call. The guys were great working together to get the repair completed completely and quickly. Overhead Door Company of Nittany Valley is a great company to work with and I'll certainly call them again if I have any future garage door issues.

Yelp5Prompt friendly service. Returned phone call quickly and had a guy to the house in less than 24 hours. The repair man was super friendly and helpful. Probably the best service I've had from any company in years!!
