We contacted PSS Garage Doors & Gates when the sensor in our gate failed, they responded immediately. Because they were knowledgeable, the crew took the time to explain the issue and provide advice on how to avoid it in the future. Interacting with them was a complete delight.

Our industrial roll up doors were obstructed, making it impossible for delivery vehicles to exit. PSS Garage Doors & Gates was our company name. They provide efficient, timely, and really competent service. Our doors are much easier to use than they were before!

My automated gate stopped working properly, so I looked them up online and got in touch with them. They sent out a service technician, who arrived on schedule and identified the problem quickly. Luckily, the adjustments were just slight. Fantastic value for a very affordable price.

If you need access control systems set up at your property, don't waste your time contacting anyone other than PSS. In speaking with them, it was immediately apparent that they know what they're talking about. They were able to pinpoint a great system for me, and got it installed quickly and without issue. I'm glad to have found such a good local company to help.

I discovered PSS online when I was searching for an experienced company to install some roll up and steel sectional doors at my industrial property in Ventura. Glenn was great to work with, and really made the process feel like a breeze. I felt that their pricing was very fair, particularly with the quality of the doors and installation service provided.

When my garage door stopped working at the worst possible time, PSS was there to help make things better. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I was able to get an appointment. The technician that arrived was very thorough in his work and was able to replace all of the parts that had become worn out. Great service at a great price.

Amazing service at reasonable prices. PSS saved the day fixing the broken chain, adjusting the gap and leveling the motor for my electric gate. I wish I had used them for the original install.

Amazing experience with PSS Quick response, great communication, and WAY cheaper than the competition. Both of the springs broke on our steel back insulated garage door and they cost about 1/3 less than the next lowest estimate. Thank you!

I called today because a piece fell off my garage door. Don was here within an hour, fixed the broken piece. Reinforced all the other fasteners, greased the track, changed the lightbulb and replaced and programmed the remote entry keypad. He went above and beyond. I highly recommend him!

Worst company ever. They do not have a showroom they basically are the middle man to gate openers and garage openers. The woman who answers the phone is rudest woman ever. I would not give them a dime and take your business elsewhere. It's not worth saving a few bucks. It's really not.

This whole company is terrific. Used a competitor for years. Thought they were the only game in town. Got a quote to replace one of springs on a roll up doors at the storage facility. The company I had been using stated I need to replace the door and spring as they no longer did just the springs. Talked to a friend of mine and they referred me to this PSS. They were $2000.00 cheaper than the company I was using as they could just replace the spring. Also used this same company to replace one of my roll up doors and they were still by far cheaper. The staff and everyone I have met has been terrific. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks to you all.

Hooray for Perimeter Security System at the Ventura, CA location for giving me a knowledgeable, and not overblown assessment of some of the scenarios that they might encounter upon arrival at my home to fix a garage door opener that would not turn on to work. From start to finish I am impressed with this company's work. I called many companies before getting to the P section at Google, where Perimeter Security System was listed in Ventura. Hunter and John drove out to Malibu, arrived on time, had a positive attitude, called before their arrival, and worked quickly and expeditiously. They did something else that might seem obvious. But, unfortunately, in today's business climate, it is not. They cleared up whatever often-overlooked smaller issues might be impinging upon the successful operation of the garage door opener motor BEFORE jumping to conclusions that the motor, itself, which was not a new one, did not work. They could see right away that the scores of screws were loose that were holding the rectangular wooden pieces intact WITHIN the shelved tiering of the layered, retractable door. They grabbed their automatic bolt tighteners and within five minutes, layer by layer ALL of the screws and bolts were tightened. They sprayed all the springs with lubricants, as well as the track on which the door rested as the motor pulled it back, and finally, they made sure that the connection between the motor and the arm that pulls open the garage door was intact (it was). Then, they pressed the "on" button, and: voilà! The door opened perfectly. This entire experience is so in contrast to what happened when I called other garage door companies. Either the phone would ring many times with no one to answer the phone, or I'd get a chirpy recording saying to look online first and then send an email if I had any questions, and don't worry, they'd respond within 24 hours. If anyone did answer the phone, the telephone reception personnel usually lacked even basic knowledge about what might be required in fixing garage doors. One company asked me to measure my garage door because she was sure that I would need a new motor, and it would have to be a heavy-duty motor, costing AT LEAST $500-to-$700 to raise a garage door like mine (10 feet high and wood). Other telephone reception people had to check with supervisors at their companies, and they all came back with the same predictions. Prices ranged up to $740 or $800 for the new motor plus the labor. One even suggested I might need a new garage door as well, while another suggested that I needed "an industrial motor." I am an older woman, I don't know anything about garage door openers and was worried about the potential cost. But the person answering the phone at Perimeter talked about FIXING the problem. He did not speculate about whether I'd need a new motor OR a whole new garage door, until I asked him point blank about that. In fact, in contrast to other garage door sales and service companies -- inlcuding all the heavily advertised ones -- at Perimeter they seemed reluctant even to consider that, and I had to suggest they bring along a motor just in case -- to avoid two trips out here if I did need a motor and they didn't have it with them. Instead, they said, "Let's see if we can get you working first before we start thinking about new motors." By the time I reached Perimeter, it would have been so easy to talk me into spending money, so I appreciate the honesty and the ethics involved. Also, the house call was quite reasonable in cost, especially in comparison with everyone else in the business. The whole visit took 15 minutes, although I had been expecting at least an hour or two. Thank you so much for a having a reliable, competent, knowledgeable, ethical and friendly group of employees, and especially for the professionalism of Hunter and John, who were dressed so neatly in clean, well-pressed dark shirts with reflective safety tape. I would give this company SIX stars if I could!

Our aging gate system finally died, and we called on Perimeter to replace it. We could not have asked for better customer service. It was a multi-step process (removing the old, pouring new concrete foundations, etc.), and for each step someone called to let us know what was happening and when. We appreciate very much their respect for our time. They were punctual, tidy, quiet, and careful with the surrounding plants. We dealt most directly with Jeff, and when all was finished he called to remind us that their service doesn't end when the job is done and that we're encouraged to call if there's ANY problem. We love the finished gate and it works perfectly!
