This is the third time I have utilized ABC Garage Repair, and again the service was excellent. Making an appointment through Sean was easy and David kept me up to date with his arrival time. The installation of a new motor and drive belt was uneventful, and everything worked as expected. Both individuals were professional and courteous. I would use the company again and recommend them to others.

SCAM! Absolutely Terrible. The Spring on my garage door broke, and I found a sticker in my garage for ABC Garage door from the previous owner. I called and spoke with Sean, he shared that to service the garage it would cost a $39 service fee, and $180 parts fee for a 300lb double door. I made an apt for the first available slot the next day. I was given a service window of 9-11am. At 9:45 I received a phone call from David who sounded like he just work up stating that he would be at the house at 10:45. When he arrived, he looked at the broken spring and said that it would cost $775 dollars, I immediately pushed back. He said best he could do was $750 - claiming that it will involve a lot of labor. Its not the first time this happened in a home of mine and I knew it would take roughly 45 minutes. I told David to leave my home immediately, and was furious that he wasted my time, and thought he could take advantage of me. I phoned other service providers in the area, and the service fee's ranged from $295 - $375. Shame on you ABC Garage Door. Do not waste you time supporting such an unethical company.

I requested service one day and had it the same day; i had not expected it until the next day. The telephone customer service was extremely responsive and pleasant and the young gentleman sent to evaluate and execute the repair was likewise professional and courteous. I was extremely pleased with both. The repair person was clean and neat and quick. Everything works now with the garage door and i am extremely pleased and grateful. I chose the right company.

Professional service. Answered the phone and showed up to perform requested work as requested. Unlike another company recommended in howard County "best picks report" that didn't show up on day scheduled and then blamed a computer breach for reason.

They didn't have to. I thought we had a garage door issue, and they came out. It had fixed itself. The gentlemen explained what often happens about something coming unconnected. All you do is run the garage door a couple times, to hook the cable back together. We didn't do it enough before he came out here. He didn't charge me anything. Nope. He was only here for five minutes. He said what was the problem, I told him this door here won't open look. I pressed the button, and it opened. They came at a convenient time. They called when they said they were on their way. They were very punctual. I felt like a complete fool, not figuring it worked for the week, before the appointment. That was nice of him to not charge us anything. There wasn't any service done, but the explanation was good. Services Rendered: Garage door inspection.

Technician named Roman stopped by and identified the problem was an offset sensor, easily fixed, but stayed and did a general tuneup for us. We'll be having ABC back to replace the rollers. Services Rendered: We weren't able to open garage door using the opener.

Roman came out within the given time window, was courteous, did a quick evaluation and gave me the pricing to replace the spring and pulleys. This is the 2nd time I have used ABC Garage Repair myself and have referred them to at least 3-4 clients (I am a residential realtor) and all have been pleased. Services Rendered: I thought that the cable on one of my garage doors had broken but in fact it was the spring.

My family recently purchased a home that is 10 years old and during the inspection, an issue came up with the safety mechanism that keeps the garage door from closing down on an obstruction (like your car, kid, or pet). I called ABC Garage and the customer service was very thorough in explaining that older models to not have that feature, so she walked me through the various models and pricing in case we wanted to replace the unit. We have young kids, so I knew we'd probably want to go with the upgrade. The day of the service call, the technician arrived promptly and verified that the current system was old enough that it didn't have this safety feature. We discussed the options again (he had all three models in his van) and he installed it promptly. When that was completed, he also showed how the garage door itself could use to be adjusted so it made less noise when opened. I was happy to pay the additional fee to get that resolved. All told, it was a very positive experience - professional, thorough, friendly, and timely. There is a 5-year warranty on the unit and 1-year labor warranty, but I expect this product to last much longer in the future. Services Rendered: Replaced and upgraded garage door motor. Tightened overall door to make quieter and more efficient. Explained new features.
