BBB5After 33 years of flawless performance, one of my chain-driven garage door openers stripped its gears and quit opening the garage door. It took Aaron barely more than 30 minutes to install a new belt driven unit. He then spent another 15 minutes adjusting the door itself which is not something that I consider part of the job. The door, which has always been loud when operating, is now almost silent and runs smoother than ever, still on the original steel wheels. Aaron knows what he is doing and how to do it right. Highly recommended!

Yelp1I called Advanced early Thursday and despite the very loud background noise and crosstalk in their office, the person said they would send Samuel later this afternoon. Samuel took one look out the garage door opener and quickly went to the "new" option, namely either a Linear chain drive for $499 or a belt drive opener for $599. Meanwhile, he replaced the garage door rollers (12) to the tune of $133.75. I informed Samuel that I had selected the belt drive opener and he indicated that the office would call me later Thursday afternoon at the earliest, tomorrow at the latest to set up the appointment. I had to quickly call Samuel back as he forgot to give back my keys and garage door remote. After waiting Friday and the entire weekend, I called the office on Monday to inquire about the status of our new installation. My person said she was just doing our invoice, but wasn't sure what we were talking about. I explain the situation and my communications with Samuel. She professed ignorance about the situation and said she would send Samuel back out for the installation. I told her not to and would seek other options. I was told that they have 5 STARS across the board, but I responded, not any more! I contacted PRECISION Garage Door, and got a quote from them later that day from $623 + tax for a belt driven opener. I finally connected with Joe Cathcart at Mr. On The Way (336.549.7420) and he came out to look at our garage door opener, and after much tweaking, he relented that our 12 year old opener was kaput and he offered a new belt drive opener installed for only $525.50. Joe is the best!

Yelp3Interesting company. Only 2 options! You can get a chain drive garage door opener for $400 +tax or a belt drive opener for $550 + tax. And that's all the info. you're given. Ok... So we asked questions. What's the HP? They're both 3/4 HP and will open a single or 2-car garage. I have a single-car garage and really only need 1/3 HP, but there's no 1/3 HP or 1/2 HP option (for less money). What's the brand? Liftmaster/Chamberlain. Ok... great brand but you can purchase that brand, belt drive, from big box stores for $200. How much is installation of an already purchased garage door opener? $200 + tax. I'm not sure why anybody would use this company for purchase AND installation of garage door opener - financially it makes no sense. It does, however, make total sense to hire this company for installation only. Other positives: Phones answered promptly, super friendly staff.
