Jamie had been absolutely amazing to work with. Super responsive and his communication is amazing. He is knowledgeable and respectful. He is so trustworthy that we allow him to access our garage (business) when we are not present. Jamie's customer service has been great. We will refer Schmitz Door Service to everyone and will never use anyone else. Thank you, Jamie for everything!

Our garage door spring broke over the weekend. I called Schmitz Door Service on Monday morning at about 7:15am. Service on the phone was friendly and professional. The service techs showed up at 9am, and had the job finished by 9:25am. The price was absolutely fair. We will come back to Schmitz for any future door service needs. Highly recommended!

Excellent service, quick timing, knowledgeable team, incredibly reasonable pricing. I had a cable snap on my door and a wheel come out of the track as a result - and they were at my house first thing the next day - and fixed everything within 20 minutes. Will recommend to everyone!

Awesome and professional service. Our 20 year old overhead garage door suddenly stopped working and the steps we took to troubleshoot didn't fix it. We contacted Schmitz late on a Wednesday; they responded quickly and set up a service call for first thing Friday morning, as Thursday didn't work for us. Two technicians arrived on time and quickly figured out and fixed the problem. No pressure to buy a new door or parts we didn't need. So refreshing to receive such good service. Would have them back in a heartbeat. Price was very reasonable too.

Schmitz Door Service replaced the springs for our garage door a few years ago, and installed a new opener for us 4-5 months ago. Both times their price, promptness, service, and response to follow up questions were outstanding! I recently called them because there was a strange noise coming from the track as the garage door was opening and closing. One of their employees came over the same day I called to check on it, explained to me that the trolley was slightly bent, and that it would be covered 100% under warranty. He replaced it the next day, and it's fixed. I highly recommend Schmitz Door Service for anything garage door or opener related- they are awesome!

No followup to my request for quote and detailed info for the addition of battery backup system despite business owner's promise to do so. I repeated that request by email and then phone message after a couple weeks. They did do a maintenance and was prompt and friendly with that service. It has been several weeks now. I don't know what is going on with them. I was hoping to rely on this locally owned business to maintain and service the garage door system for my home for years to come. Very disappointed by lack of response."

We had a mishap with our garage door (apparently you need to wait for the door to finish rising before you back out ...). We called Schmitz late in the afternoon. They asked for us to text photos of the state of the garage door to see if they could get a single technician out to repair it that day. Upon receiving the photos, they determined that the repair would require multiple technicians and would need to wait until they had a crew available. They had a crew out early the next morning and had our door back on the tracks and working better than ever. The technicians were prompt, courteous, and skillful. The price of the repair pleasantly surprised us. We're incredibly pleased with Schmitz Door Service!

Wow! We got home from vacation and discovered one of our garage door springs was broken. Reached out to Schmitz's Door Service first thing in the morning via Facebook Messenger and heard back within a half hour on their ballpark pricing, warranty info, and their availability to come out same day. My experience with Schmitz was fantastic! My garage door literally fell apart on a Monday night while closing, with my vehicles inside the garage. There was no way to get them out without professional help, as part of the door was hanging over my vehicles, with the door stuck half open. I had promptly called another highly rated company, left a message, and patiently waited for a call back the next morning. I left another message late morning, after not receiving a call back, and again waited (and never got a call back)... In the meantime, I contacted Schmitz, based on their reviews, and had a call back from Jamie within minutes. He was to my house in just over an hour, helped to get my vehicles out, and get me on my way to work. And my new, better quality garage door, was installed the very next day. I would highly recommend Schmitz to anyone.

Excellent work. The company had one job that was running over, and they needed to delay my project a bit. They called me the night before, which is why I gave a B, but it is definitely better than no notice at all, and in many cases, wouldn't be able to be foreseen until the night before. They also apologized with a reduction in the install price. The install was great, the door looks beautiful, the keypad works perfectly, and their team was professional. Services Rendered: Insulated garage door, track, and motor replacement.

I put in calls to two of the bigger guys. One only comes to Madison once a week and one took their time calling back despite claiming to be a 24 service. Our cars were trapped in our garage. Luckily, it was a Saturday morning so we were not completely desperate. I called Schmitz Door Service because their address was close by. I called about 9:30 and Bob answered the phone. I explained our situation and he said he could be here in the afternoon. He called back an hour later and said he could be here at 11 if that worked for us. He was prompt and friendly. He got our garage opened and replaced the spring and took his time oiling our very noisy door. The garage door is much quieter now. The price was cheaper than the other's "special." My garage door would not close unless I was in the garage and held the button. I called Schmitz Door Service because they had been recommended by a few people in the neighborhood. I was told it was a problem with the electric eye and was told how to fix it. I was very pleased that he talked me through how to fix the problem, and that I was not charged for a service call. The service was excellent. I had contacted another company that had done work for us before but they were unable to come. I was very concerned about having it fixed right away because of the extremely cold weather. I called Angie's List and they gave me Schmitz's number and rating. They were there within an hour! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Madison area. Services Rendered: The garage door would not go down because one of the rollers had jumped the track. Schmitz's realigned the track and roller and oiled everything that needed it. It works great now.
