Techs showed up very quickly looked at my door not up close- no hands on no flashlight no tools - arrogantly said I needed new springs and cable $1200 with tax...I had fixed the roller and rewound the cables- just needed the springs re- tensioned..the guy Scott got condescending and abrasive when I asked him to just tighten the springs( about a 10 minute job) he refused- I guess once they couldn't up sell new springs and cable they left on my invitation! DO NOT Use these guys!

I scheduled a tune-up today for my 19 year old residential garage door. We have owned the house for the last three years and this was on my to-do list for maintenance. Andrew was the technician and did an excellent job showing us the parts of the door and what the implications would be if critical parts failed. It was apparent that the door has never been looked at since it was new. We are very pleased with the work Andrew performed and the honesty he displayed in explaining our options. This was an A++ experience and an investment in preventative maintenance.

On Easter Sunday my garage door didn't open all the way and I backed into the door thinking it was up as usual. The very top of my car hit my garage door breaking the frame. I was able manually to open the door but not shut completely. My husband called A1 as it was referred to us and they sent James out. He was very polite and did excellent work and was able to fix the frame so we didn't have to replace the actual door. My husband said he was so great to work with and also felt the price was fair. Thank you James!! I was gone for much of the duration of repair time, but I've never had my husband ever wanting to get a review to any company concerning service they have provided. He is not computer literate, so I am doing this for him. Great job A1 and again great job James! Happy Flagstaff Owner

The initial call for help went well and technician showed up on-time. Then technician immediately begin changing prices. And for every hour that went by he told me something else was wrong or broken. He showed me pictures of things that were fine. I'm well versed with garage doors. Even showed me large dents in the rail which appears he did. It was not there when he arrived. A1 Garage door uses commission technicians which means they make lot of money when they replace parts that don't need replacing. The whole call went so horribly, I finally just asked him to leave. He refused to do so and waited until I cave to his price. Even after he gave me the second quote he raised the price another $400 and demanded it and wouldn't leave until I paid it. The technician did a horrible job and cannot express what an awful experience this was. Funny enough after he was done with the job he said I needed an entire new garage door and it was going to cost $5,000.

The absolute worse experience possible. The serviceman tried hard to upsell unneeded work and looked at me like I had eight heads when I questioned his assessment. I had another company do the job and saved $1,000.00 They are a total ripoff. The management seems to encourage terrible customer service.

I appreciate the fact that he reached out to me directly to provide a prompt resolution. Im updating the previous rating of 1 star to 4 stars. Up until my last service, $1200.00+, they have done wonderful work for me. However this last time, following the $1200.00 repair the door openers would not work every time so the sent out 2 different techs, 2 different times and it still does not work properly. I am 79 and my wife is 77 so we do not need to get out of our cars, pull the cord and shut it manually and go out the front door. I have called twice with no response. My wife, due to surgery is in a wheelchair which makes the situation more frustrating For both of us. The doors worked fine before the repair.

Because we are not understand, My hubby looking Google for repair garage door and calling A1 , today technician his name Robby ,he is help anything , My garage 2001, otomatic machine sensor 2005 . We were having issues with our sensors on our previous garage door not closing every time. We called A1 garage door service and were easily talked into a new garage door opening system. We've paid over $1100 and are still having the same issues if not more with our garage door closing. On Friday, the next day, we reached out to the gentleman who installed the door. He said he would come by Friday or Saturday. We haven't heard anything from him and it's now Monday. We reached out to the company today and were forced to leave a voicemail and no one has returned our call. Our garage door still is not closing and is bouncing back, we're thinking we made the wrong choice using this company. Update, my husband called and finally got ahold of them and they offered an appointment on Saturday. That's in 5 days, and to me just not acceptable when paying for a product that already isn't working. I called back and the customer service representative told me it would be 2-3 business days to talk to a supervisor, which seems unusual. Bottom line they need to fix this sooner than Saturday, ultimately after a lot of back and forth they decided they could come tomorrow. Wish we would have done our due diligence and picked a company that was responsive, takes responsibility, and has supervisors available if and when an issues arises. It feels like they got their sale and now we're at the bottom of this companies priorities.

We received A-1service from a wonderful company!! They were responsive, courteous, and respectful when they arrived. They explained all my options clearly. They were very helpful and fixed my garage door expertly!! I would highly recommend them for your garage door needs. They were very knowledgeable. Do not hesitate to call them if you need to! Our rep was Chase, he was very knowledgeable, respectful and took his time with us, and really helped us. We joined the worry free club and know A-1 and Chase will help us in the future.

This has taken a little longer than it should have. We had our garage done before Christmas, but just now writing the review. We were very impressed with Jesse when he came out to do a maintenance inspection on the garage door that had been updated probably 13 years ago. He found hinges that were cracked, roller that were worn out and numerous other things like the rubber under the door that needed to be replaced. They worked out an interest free payment plan. I was very impressed with the professional way they treated us. Very helpful and concerned about our safety. I would recommend A1 Garage Doors. The work was done quickly by professionals. 5 star company

Their technicians are always so knowledgeable, incredibly polite and very professional, and they don't try to push you to buy things you don't need. They're also very responsive and keep you updated from the moment you book an appointment, so you don't have to sit and wonder if they'll actually show up. I have co-workers and family members who use A1, and all of us recommend them to others. Brian is the one that installed my new opener, and he deserves five stars as well! He explained everything so well (for the non-mechanically inclined), helped me set up the app and buttons in my car to sync with the new opener and did an excellent job with the install. Not sure if you can ask for specific technicians, but he is definitely worth inquiring about!

Mike with A1 was great, very informative, experienced and a great personality to boot. I've had A1 do several garage doors in houses I've owned in AZ over the last 15+ years and they've always been professional and courteous. Top in their industry if that's what you're looking for. Next they'll be flying to my place in Alaska to do some fishing!

Max performed his installation process in outstanding manner and is to be commended for his knowledge and professionalism as well as his courteous demeanor towards me the customer. If I have do use A1 again I will request him my name and I suggest you keep him within this company at all cost. Adrian' painting of my garage door was amazing! He was extremely clean and very prompt in all aspects of the job. I would recommend him to paint any garage door or in fact anything requiring a great painter!

Everything mentioned was positive and a great experience. I didn't see the the garage door in the daylight until today and there is a bend/dent where the top panel and the next panel meet. It seems like I got an auto reply, "Thank You" or something like that. It seems like there could be an easy adjustment without me guessing and trying. Worse than the small dent you can see light from inside the garage during the day between the top panel and next panel down. It's probably not poor workmanship, but even if it's not, something could be better. I think it's worth taking another look at please while it's under warranty. Thank you, Eric Hansen

We recently had a new garage door package installed and unfortunately one of our brand new springs broke about 12 months after it was replaced. I was a little concerned at first about whether or not it would be covered under warranty but after getting to the right person, they were able to cover the repair at zero cost to me! And they replaced both springs and performed comprehensive inspection of the door which also included replacing the rollers and cables!! At the end of the day A1 took great care of us and we are more than 100% satisfied! Thanks Curtis!

One star is too generous. This company gave me a bid for over $10,000 to replace my garage door and opener. This was not a door with glass or custom woodwork or solid gold hinges. It was a regular 2-car garage door. When I asked them to justify the price, they told me that the door cost them over $7000 to purchase. They will scam you if they can get away with it. A1 got us scheduled for next day services, then called when a same day appointment came open to bump us up! Communication was excellent, techs Eric Parks and Ramon were punctual, personable, and knowledgeable. They explained the issue and options available. Horrendous!!!!! Absolute worst possible service and treatment from this company. My doors were never ordered. Even though I called company twice to verify they were on the way. Expensive doors, special order, 18 weeks at max quoted to receive them. 5 months later I am told distribution did not order my doors. At best 3 additional months to get doors. They took my money and did not honor their contact. Absolutely unacceptable and completely dismissive of my garage door needs and order placed in good faith. Do not order from this company. What a professional company! Called and got an appointment for the next day between 8 am and 1 pm. At 8 am we received a call from the company that the driver's truck broke down. They promised to keep me informed what time he would arrive. A few minutes later, the driver called and said it was fixed and he was on his way. We really appreciated the level of customer service we received! Steve showed up and never tried to up-sell us anything. He looked at the garage door, made recommendations for things that needed replacement and things that could wait. We had him replace everything since all the parts and the opener were 25 years old. Services Rendered: I had broken a spring and they put a temporary one in as after 34 years and many problems in the past two years I needed an entire new garage door.

We called because our garage door wouldn't open. The repairman said we needed new springs even though they weren't broken and would have to go from there if that wasn't the problem. This would cost around $800.00. We told him no that we weren't going to replace the springs since they weren't broken. After about 15 minutes of arguing, my husband told him we would contact someone else. He then said there was a $20.00 trip charge even though it said free estimates. He said it was only free if we bought something. On one side of the flyer it stated free estimates but on the other side it stated free estimates but to call for details. We called another repairman who clicked the garage door opener and stated the belt was broken which needed to be replaced but the springs were fine. The belt could only be purchased by also buying the carrier but this came to a total of $200.00 and not the $800.00 that wouldn't even have fixed the door. I would never hire A1 Garage Door service for anything I needed. Services Rendered: Garage door wouldn't open.
