BBB2We had bought 3 8' model **** wood grain doors along with the Hormann openers in 2006 from their ********** representative. The wood grain started to peel off and in 2012 all 3 doors were replaced under warranty. We had to pay for removal and installation. We were told when we bought these doors and openers were warranted for life. So in 2022 we started seeing the peeling again. The ********** rep was no longer in business, so we went to Hormann directly and they said the doors were no longer under warranty, so much for life time. We just ad one of the openers fail and they said they were too old to cover under warranty, again so much for warranty.Let me say the doors and openers are very well made. The wood look covering just does not stand up to sun and high temperatures. I sad to say their warranty just is a lie about being lifetime. They have also discontinued our model of door. We have since paid to have the doors striped and painted. We also paid to have the failed door opener replaced. Might see what the courts might say about not honoring their warranty.

Google1In all my years of working on, ordering, and installing new doors.. I've never worked with a company as dishonest and unorganized as NWD. Every. Single. Order. Is a nightmare. Dates keep getting pushed out, repeatedly get lied too saying the door is there on a truck and about to be unloaded etc. It's all lies. I'm officially cutting ties with NWD for good. I used to only order from them when a customer specifically requested it or had a door they needed matched but it's reached the point where I'd rather turn the business down than deal with another NWD order.

Google5Greg, their sales account executive, came to my place of business (an hour in traffic), offered to by lunch for everyone in my office, sat down with me, and we had a real good talk about everything they offer and all the pitfalls and hurdles we could expect in this tumultuous climate of back-orders, extended lead times, and supply shortages. His honesty was refreshing. Since then, I've gotten everything I needed and they've exceeded my expectations. The office is full of superstars who are overworked but still manage to get everything done in a timely and professional manner. Special shout out to Connie, Debbi, Joanna, Stephanie, Jorge, Gina, and Mike (in no specific order). You seven are awesome and are always there for me and have even saved my butt on a few jobs where my other vendors forgot parts and pieces. God bless you, forever! Keep up the fine work!

Google1Don't purchase a door built by Northwest, either directly or through another seller such as Precision Door in Portland. Northwest is a dishonest and unreliable company that will not stand behind the doors they build. We purchased an expensive garage door that was built by Northwest after we replaced the siding on our house. Less than 6 months after the garage door was installed, one of the panes of glass shattered. Precision Door, who we purchased the door from, recommended that we contact Northwest Door, who informed us that they would not help us resolve the issue. Precision agreed to replace the glass pane free of charge. Six months later, another glass pane unexpectedly shattered. We have asked for either a full refund of our money or for the top panel to be replaced with glass that will not shatter, at no cost to us. Both Northwest and Precision are washing their hands of this issue now that they have our money. The door is clearly defective, but neither company will take responsibility for it. Precision blames Northwest. Northwest claims that it is not their fault. They are both dishonest and refuse to stand behind the products they sell. Instead, they continue to offer excuses. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and we plan to take legal action against Precision if the situation is not resolved. I wish that we would have purchased a door from The Home Depot or Lowe's instead. Northwest is a disgusting, dishonest, and dysfunctional company.

Google1I've been installing doors for the last 10 years with my own business, about 16 years total. I have never dealt with a company as unreliable as this company. They tell you an eta then just let you wait several months later to give you an answer on where it's at or just keep leave you hanging. If they make a mistake, they put the blame on you. If they give you an incorrect panel, it's your fault and have to eat the cost to change it out. I have been waiting on an order that I was told would take 2 weeks, and I've been now waiting 2.5 months and still have no answer. I have called called several times about it, I have called the main office and they say they will look into it but here I am with no answers. Do not do business with these guys.

Google1We strictly carried NWD USA garage DOOR products because it was local in Portland, OR and their garage door quality back 2017 was the best compared to other suppliers available in town. Unfortunately, the top quality that I thought was going to be consistent only lasted for so long. The garage doors that we have been receiving are consistent in being defective. It was brought up to rep Greg Anderson and he either doesn't even respond right away or you have to constantly try to call him to get his attention to get any resolution. We have at least 4 open complaints for damaged/defective garage doors dated from way back in July 2020 and no update has been given by any representatives of NWD USA. Be cautious on dealing with this company and pay close attention to the product that you get has no defects, dents or scratches.
