Amarr garage doors are manufactured by Amarr Garage Doors, headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina, with manufacturing plants in Lawrence, Kansas, and Mocksville, North Carolina. The company was founded in 1951 by three brothers and grew into one of the largest residential and commercial garage door makers in North America. Since 2013, Amarr has been a subsidiary of Sweden-based Assa Abloy, the global access-and-security conglomerate that also owns Yale, Medeco, and HID Global. Amarr also private-labels doors for Costco under the Amarr-Costco Garage Door Installation Program, paired with LiftMaster openers. The doors sold through Pella, Home Depot, and many local dealers under different product names are also frequently built in Amarr factories, which is part of why the brand is so widely available.
