I needed to have a garage door installed in my new construction house. After having several other service providers stand me up (including the big box store), I signed up for Angie's List and came across JW Rodgers. Both he and his wife (who I dealt with on the phone) were very responsive to my questions and returned phone calls promptly. They had exactly what i was looking for (belt driven with battery backup) and were able to install it within a couple of days. Mr. Rodgers showed up at the scheduled date and time, was very knowledgeable and professional, and completed the work as discussed. I'm very pleased and would use him again if needed. His price for the opener and the installation was very reasonable (slightly more than the big box store, significantly less than the other independent contractor that was a no show). We had a new garage door opener installed about 2 1/2 months ago. Unbeknownst to us, the previous installer did not secure the railing to a stud and merely screwed it in to the drywall. The railing and bolts fell out. The previous installer would not return to fix the faulty installation without charging additional service fees. We contacted Angie's List and obtained a list of other providers to find someone else to repair our garage door opener. We did not want to give more money to a company that would not stand by its original work. We contacted J. W. Rodgers Garage Door and explained our dilemma. The railing was hanging and our car was inside of the garage! The lady who answered the phone was friendly and immediately offered to try to help us. She contacted a service representative who arrived within a couple of hours, assessed the job and completed the repair within 45 minutes. He may have also helped us to avoid a future problem because he noticed that reinforcement had not been attached to the garage door as it should have been and repaired it, too. The guy whom I spoke to over the phone was really nice and he gave me a review guide as it was an insulated door and he explained how to do that with access. Their price was almost the same as others. The guy was really friendly. They were great. When I came home the garage door was fixed with no grabbling anywhere. He worked on the garage doors and he did an excellent job. I called him and he came the next day, few minutes here and few minutes there but, it was done. I think he even took some time to oil some of the mechanism that he said needs oiling. I didn't even ask him to do it, he just did it. So, he just took care of the door I should say. He was a very low key man and very nice. What stands out to me about the company is that, they were efficient and the price was good. He was timely and didn't make us wait for the service. He was a very personable gentleman and I don't think I could have asked for something more than that. They were very professional all the way through. I would definitely use them in the future.
