Google5Overhead Doors was great to work with, from dealing with Jeff the service technician, the office representative, and the owner. They were all professional, personable and, most importantly, effective/efficient at repairing my garage door. As a veteran, my first inclination was to go with a veteran-owned company like the one I originally used - I believe they’re called Veteran Garage Doors or something like that. They misdiagnosed the issue and quoted a repair cost of $450. Thankfully, Jeff with Overhead inspected my broken unit and immediately saw that it only needed a capacitor replacement. That’s an honest $180 job. Shame on you Veterans. My experience was superb and I would highly recommend Overhead to everyone. I have two points of constructive criticism— (1) modernize your methods of payment and (2) offer a veterans/service member discount. I had to physically drive to Overhead’s office to pay. In this day and age, most establishments allow online payments or a way to pay immediately at the conclusion of the work. And two, it’s easier than ever in Texas to prove if someone is/was a service member. I know Stolen Valor (when people falsely claim to be a service member to obtain benefits) exists, but showing proof from your Texas drivers license or a copy of the DD-214 could be the required step before granting a veterans discount. Just a thought. Thank you.

Google5Same day service. Technican was on time and was very friendly/polite. He figured out I needed a new wall mount switch. Unfortunately didn't have any on the truck but said they'd call when they got some in. For fast friendly service I highly recommend overhead door company.

Google5Actually measured my door and provided the correct springs for the size of my door. Fixed within an hour, did have to schedule a day prior. Friendly and great customer service. Price range was about what everyone else would charge for spring replacements.

Google1Had to wait weeks for my install then the day they were supposed to come they called and canceled said that they couldn't make it and needed to reschedule. Then when the door was installed they apparently placed it to close to a light in the container so the door didn't roll up right because it was hitting the light when I went into the container a guide that was left on the door on both sides was on the floor so I figured that was the problem and called for a service call the tech told me that they should have been removed at install and how should i have known that Candace never told me if there was not a warranty issue there would be a $175.00 service call fee normally you would think that would be stated before going out he was here for 5 minutes that is an outrageous fee for removing the light that should have been done when installing the door I told him I could do it myself and he said that he would do it no problem. Side note that light wasn't a working light and didn't even have any wires going to it.

Google5I had a single torsion spring break on my garage door, so I emailed them with some information. A few hours later, a very nice lady called and set an appointment for Dylan to come do the necessary repair. He had the parts with him in the truck, replaced the broken spring, and straightened the bent track that the rollers run in. Great customer service, extremely affordable pricing, and very thorough job completed in a timely manner. I will use them in the future and suggest them to anyone I hear that needs garage repair or install. Thank you!!!

Google5Sam from Overhead Door Company was incredibly helpful and kind. After assessing the situation and teaching me a few things about garage doors, he returned less than an hour later with the supplies to fix my garage door. This is our second time calling Overhear Door Company (the first time was years ago for a completely different reason), and both occurrences were positive. Today was an ideal situation. I called the office a little after 8:00 a.m., Sam arrived at 8:50 a.m., and was done no later than 10:00 a.m. I'd recommend Overhead Door Company any time you need help with your garage door!

Google5My garage door would open only a few inches when I got home from work Saturday night and Monday morning I went to an inservice at work and told a coworker my situation. He suggested calling Overhead Door and I did when I got home. The receptionist was so helpful and said she could have someone over in 3 hours! Sam showed called to let me know he was on the way to fix my broken spring. He arrived and it was so refreshing to have someone so professional and competent. He went in the garage and he was right! He showed me I had a broken spring! He said he was able to diagnose my problem from my description of my problem! He had my door fixed within the hour! He took the time to explain how my door operated and what I need to do to properly maintain it! Sam is friendly and outgoing and demonstrates a natural ability to quickly establish an excellent rapport with his customers! Sam, thank you! You are awesome! Thank you Overhead Door for such a prompt and efficient response!

Google5An amazing job done by the people at Overhead Door company. I had a custom job done due to a support beam in the garage. Sam installed our garage door. He was awesome. He worked hard, was polite, and did an amazing job installing our garage door. I was impressed with the job from start to finish. I was pleased with our initial bid, the communication, and the service. The price was extremely reasonable. I will be using Overhead Door Company for all of our rentals!

Yelp1Terrible customer service. The right hand does not talk to the left. Stacy told me they would be out at 11:00, right after the first customer of the day was seen. I took off work to be home. At 12:45 I hadn't heard anything so I called. The young inexperienced gal answering the phone said they put 2 more customers ahead of me because they had an emergencies. Mind you, I had already paid an emergency fee myself ($270) to have them come out when I did. BUT those two customers must have been more important than me! At 2:50, still nothing. I called and cancelled and at 4:10 the technicians showed up anyway. Unbelievable!

Yelp5I had 2 garage doors installed 3-months ago. They were able to install the doors within 3-day's of when I called them. The individuals who installed the doors were professional and did a good job. I had a problem with one of the doors yesterday, called them at 0815 this morning....they fixed the problem by 0930 this morning.

Yelp1Stacy, front desk receptionist, is rude and should not work in customer service. I have dealt with her 3 times now and the experience is the same. After going through a horrible experience with my garage door breaking unexpectedly and having to financially find a way to pay for this expensive event she doesn't make the experience any better. 3 months earlier they came out to fix my garage door for a different issue. Since it happened less than 3 months ago, I showed her the reciept and I asked if they could work with me and deduct when they came out to fix that issue on that door she said no. I asked if they have a military discount maybe to find some kind of alleviation from this big expense and again no. Finally, when asked about the warranty for the garage door and motor in a rude manner explains some of the details. She has no patience and is ready for you to leave the office so she can get back to whatever it is she was doing. The technicians that came out to my house and replaced the new garage door did a great job however, when you have someone that is so rude dealing with the customers money and any questions they may have makes the experience overall a bad one. This is my last time dealing with Overhead Door Company and it's sad that their front desk receptionist can make the experience horrible for any other customers that come in.

Yelp5I've read the negative reviews on here about Overhead Door Company in Abilene, Tx, and feel compelled to say that my experience with this company has ALWAYS been totally the opposite. I've used them many times over the years for different houses, and have never had a bad experience. This week has been another very positive experience. After determining on a service call yesterday that the circuit board on my 12 year old Sears Craftsman garage door opener was shorting out, I was given the option of them trying to order a replacement circuit board or opt for a totally new Linear model. I was quoted an excellent price on the new model, so today the installers were back to replace the old and install the new. Both service calls were made by Mike, and his apprentice Sam. These two men could not have been any nicer and they were total professionals with their work. It was a privilege to have them both here at my house. I would not hesitate for a minute to recommend Overhead Door Company of Abilene to anyone needing their services.

Angi1The doors were finally delivered on May 7, 2013 - the doors were (unfinished, raw) white with brown trim, not the dark brown paint & trim we had ordered. The doors were also damaged. While it was clear that it was not the doors we ordered & the damage was obvious - they installed the doors anyway & not only removed our old doors, but destroyed them! Instead of replacing the damaged wrong doors, they offered to paint them. These are $1500 garage doors -- ordered with the paint baked on, having a painter come put a coat of paint on them is not acceptable. No, absolutely no concessions offered to us as the customer! When I delivered the news to the owner that we would not accept these doors, the owner, Winifred Campbell, ignored me, answered a phone call while I was speaking mid-sentence, and ultimately became verbally abusive...insulting me and questioning my integrity. I am a customer & a woman...he is a man & owner of the business. This man treated me worse than I had ever been treated by anyone! After constant frustration & several letters to this owner from my husband, we finally had a new set of doors, in the correct colors, delivered to our home - however, after installing the first door, the installer & I noticed that the doors had been painted & stacked before the paint could dry -- the paint was peeling off all over the doors. The installer refused to hang the other door. We waited another 6 weeks (with 2 different color garage doors) for yet another set of doors to be delivered. The final installation came 5 1/2 months (and a lot of headache) after our original order. I understand that things go wrong with orders at times - however, the treatment I received from the owner of this business is more than unacceptable - it was awful. And no apology whatsoever! Services Rendered: We ordered 2 dark brown garage doors in March 2013.

Angi5The price was reasonable. The quality of the service is very good. They can do repairs when no one else can. I had a couple of different people work on the door that couldn't fix it. Overhead Door fixed it with no problem. Services Rendered: Overhead Door came out to fix my garage door.

Angi4I had a problem with the door, but they came back and fixed it. Overall, they were okay. The guy came and he thought that he had fixed the door but it was not progressing correctly. Sometimes it would work properly and sometimes it did not. He thought he had fixed it and went away and a day after I found that it was not fixed. I called them and told them and they came back and fixed it. I was very satisfied in the long run. They were very responsive. I did not have a bad feeling about them at all. I will call them again if ever I have to. Services Rendered: I used Overhead Door a year and a half ago to fix a garage door. It is a double car garage with old wooden kind of door that works on mechanism.
