Angi5The crew (Lenny in particular) serviced the entire door and motor mechanism to ensure if was working properly. They installed a new safety edge sensor. They also diagnosed problem with existing photo eye sensors (sunlight disrupting beam) and recommended replacement part in most economical fashion. They installed new eyes and wiring and insisted on neatest and cleanest appearance rather than using old brackets that looked sloppy. Turned out that new eyes were not compatible with existing operator (motor mechanism) and only much more expensive models can be used with my particular model of operator. They carefully removed the new components and made sure everything was working properly again. The guys spent a lot of time troubleshooting (on the phone with the manufacturer looking for alternative solutions and less pricey components) and ensuring everything was tip top. They took the time to explain how best to maintain the system on my own (ie, the parts that are safe for the consumer to do) and made sure everything was working properly and cleaned up. These guys (a) know what they're doing; (b) were neat and have a lot of attention to detail; (c) were very friendly; and (d) professional all around. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. I've used other companies in the past to install the original system and service it, but I wish I had gone to Metropolitan first. If you're looking for new equipment or service, it would be a mistake not to call them. Services Rendered: Serviced commercial roll gate (alley garage door for residence). Replaced safety edge sensor and service photo eye control.
