Yelp2Tom does good quality work but his labor charge is way way too high. I can't recommend him because of his labor fees. I am sure you can find someone that does good quality work with much lower labor rates. Also be aware he doesn't take credit cards which he didn't let me know at the time of booking. What kind of company these days don't take CC's.

Yelp5After contacting a few other garage door companies to get a quote on a new spring, I decided to do the work myself. I went to another garage company to purchase springs and was laughed at by their employee. They wanted me to hire them to do the job instead of selling me the parts to do it myself. I found garage Essentials and contacted them after business hours. The owner answered and was willing to sell me the springs at a reasonable price. He spent his own time after business hours explaining how to do the job and even gave me some pointers. The springs he sold me fit perfectly and I was able to complete the job on my own. Garage Essentials is a family run small business who cares about their customers instead of just making the most money possible. With his help and kindness I was able to save over $100 by doing it myself. If I ever need any garage door services I will be calling Garage Essentials first!

Yelp5The owner of this company is A++++++. He came to our house a couple minutes early. He put in a new opener and was very kind and knowledgeable to deal with. A few days later, the door was opening a little rough so he came back and checked it out. He adjusted the tracking, lubed everything up and it runs great! He did not charge to come out the second time. He stands behind his work!!! This is a company with integrity......

Yelp5Excellent service for two loose garage door opener and chains and a cracking door that needed a strut to have the door open correctly. Called, came one hour later. Very knowledgeable, educated me on what he was seeing, why my doors weren't opening smoothly, and what to watch out for moving forward, as the doors are about 15 years old. Very helpful, as he pointed out future problems that I can catch early as parts on my door wear out, before they domino and overwhelm the motor and burn it out. I hadn't noticed the crack in my door, and with the strut he installed to fix that and keep the door from becoming more damaged, he fixed the rough opening of the door. Price was fair, affordable, expecially considering how prompt the service was. Overall, would highly recommend.

Yelp5This guy was phenomenal! I had a problem with my garage and this kind gentlemen got to me within about an hour. He fixed the problem and helped me to understand what exactly went wrong so it doesn't happen again. He was MORE THAN FAIR with cost and honestly was one of the most responsible business owners I've encountered. He was efficient, knowledgeable, fair and quick!

Yelp5My garage door spring broke and my car was locked inside! I needed to get to work and needed someone to come right away. When I called, I spoke to the owner of the company, Tom, and explained my situations. He was very understanding and came right away! Other companies I called required an emergency fee, I couldn't afford the additional fee but Tom waived the fee and came within 30 minutes after I called. He was very professional and opened my door to let my car out then he stayed longer and replaced my spring. I am very pleased with his work and professionalism. I would recommend and have Garage Essentials do all my garage door repairs. I worked directly with the owner - I appreciated that. Great service!!

Angi5It went perfectly Services Rendered: We had a torsion spring break on one of our garage doors rendering it useless and unmovable and were in a logistical quandary as we were supposed to leave town. I called Tom from Garage Essentials (208 577-7974) at 7:30 a.m. and he was on site fixing my garage door at 8 AM. He is super knowledgeable and provided great service. I couldn't be happier!

Angi5I had Tom come fix my garage door. He came out next day, fixed the door lickity split. Then offered to look at a second door and found a big problem – garage door opener bolted into sheetrock rather than stud and nearly falling off wall! He immediately fixed that as well and diverted what could have been an expensive problem. Services Rendered: Garage door wouldn't stay open

Angi5Garage Essentials- HUGE THANK YOU... Also a Brookwood resident and he was able to come out and fix the problem all within one hour. He did great work and he even went above and beyond the work that needed to be done. A very smart man and so grateful that he was able to come to my rescue so quickly! Highly recommend him to everyone if they ever run into garage issues! Thanks Tom!!! We also had him come out a second time when our teen backed into the garage door, he had us repaired and up and running quickly! Services Rendered: Our garage door had fallen off and was halfway hanging down into the garage. We also had him come out a second time to replace the bottom half of our garage door.

Angi5We originally called "Garage Door Co" but they sent out "Tom" from Garage Essentials. Turned out Tom was great! Arrived when he said he would - gave us a good price (even accepted the $30 coupon from the "Garage Door Co" website) - and fixed our garage door just fine. Would recommend Tom to anyone.
