My garage door broke on a Friday am. I called the service center and had success in minutes. The service technician was here and done by 3:30 pm. He did a great job. From the call center to the repair I highly recommend this company. Thanks again Earle Elliott

If your garage door needs repair, THIS is the only company you need to call. Due to a 'mishap' (at 5am TODAY) my garage door was like humpty dumpy in need of piecing back together again. Bent pins, bent brackets, bent arm, off the track and hanging by a wire. And it weighs a ton. I called OHD's 24/7 line. Jamie (and Tony) came out around 1130am TODAY. They first diagnosed the problem, came up with a way to handle the weight of the door and fix it and then they just went about the job of fixing it piece by piece. No dilly dallying, no weird charges, no nonsense - just straight up, old fashioned 'let's get it done' attitudes and it's working great now. OHD - you've got 2 amazing employees here - the ones you keep. Thank you.

Great service and awesome technician. Tech came and evaluated, provided an honest assessment, didn’t over sell, and outlined my options accurately once I made a decision on the desired option. Said he would be on site the next day to install, gave me a time and eta on completion. All you 100% accurate. Don’t go anywhere else for you garage door needs. I’ve used these guys before and they don’t mess around. Just a great company. Thanks!

Cable broke on our garage door early one morning. Called Overhead Door and they were able to get a tech out that day to fix it. He showed up on time, was friendly, and got the door fixed quickly. We have been using them for years and this has always been our experience with them.

Had an issue with one of our garage doors. The technician, Scott Russo, could not have been any nicer or helpful. We ended up replacing the 25 year old sensors on all three doors at what I felt was a fair price. I would give Scott and Overhead Door an enthusiastic two thumb's up!

We bought 2 garage door openers as a Christmas gift for our son. The sales and service was awesome. The old system was removed and new openers, key pad system was installed. The installation was efficient and perfect! We all LOVE the new garage door openers with the camera and that it is a smart device that can be controlled with your phone. Even the key pad is awesome. We highly recommend Overhead Door Company for anyone who needs garage doors or even just replacing the garage door openers. Matt was the best!

I called the Overhead Door Company ********** location because my automatic garage door opener was not functioning correctly. I sent a couple pictures to the office and they offered to send a technician out to take a look. Because I live 5 miles from the shop, I assumed this would be a courtesy call since there was no discussion of a charge. The technician stopped out for a few minutes, watched the door attempt to open, and quickly concluded the motor needed to be replaced. Because I had a quote from ****** Door, the company that installed my doors a few years ago, I decided to have them replace the motor. A month or so later, the Overhead door technician followed up with me apologizing he had not gotten around to giving me a quote. I explained I went with another company. A few days later I received a bill in the mail from Overhead door for $138 with a description "Service to overhead *************** "Checked & adjusted and lubed". I was upset with this bill because there was never discussion of a charge when the office offered to send out a tech. Also, the description of the bill states that work was done on the unit which is not true. I called the office to express my concern and even offered to meet them in the middle by paying just half the bill. But they would not meet me in the middle on this. I do not think I was treated fairly and I do not think this company is honest or reasonable.

I called Overhead Door in ********** ** - one of the locations of the Portland Overhead Door company - per their invoice and website. I called the ********** location around the 3rd of September and discussed the fact that one of the springs on our Overhead needed to be replaced. The door could still be lifted with one spring but it was putting a lot of strain on the mechanism. They said they would order the part and it would be 5-7 days to get the part. On October 19, 2022 an installer/repairman from Overhead Door installed the springs and the door is working. My issue, the price - its called price gouging. I had called and spoke to the owner who said - "I don't know what other companies charge to replace springs" and "I'm not changing the bill" the invoice totaled $697.00 per the internet the cost to repair this door should be around $200-$400 per the owner of the related shop in Portland Me the repair cost should be around $400 per another garage door company the cost should be around $350.After doing my research I was prepared to pay around $400 for this service. they could not give me a price at the time as they had to order the part and they would see if anything else needed work .I expected a fair reasonable bill. The installer was here 50 minutes and they charged $275 for labor and 400 for parts.. this was a local job -15 min away and they had other service calls in the area, done at their convenience we waited a month and the installer makes less than $20/hr. this is price gouging as I'm sure there was a markup on the springs and drums and bearings. I understand companies need to make a profit. but to inflate the invoice by over 175% of other companies in the area....unfair and unreasonable. Bottomline - this is price gouging, an unfair practice and should not be tolerated or accepted. Unless they changed their invoice to an equitable amount i would not recommend them to anyone.
