The tension spring on our garage door broke Friday evening. After researching Angie's List, I called Texas Garage Door & Opener Saturday morning around 9:00AM. The lady who answered the phone was very courteous and helpful. Even though it was the day before Easter, we were able to make an appointment for between 1:00 and 3:00PM that day. I found the price quoted to be very reasonable. Richard called me around 10:30 and asked if he could come early, which I gratefully agreed to. When Richard arrived, he immediately went to work. Richard is very professional in both his work and his demeanor, and repaired the garage door in a very timely manner. As part of the repair, Richard also performed a "tune-up" on the garage door. I would not hesitate to recommend Texas Garage & Opener to anyone else needing service or repair, and will certainly call them again in the future for my garage door needs. I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you Richard, and thank you Angie's List. Services Rendered: Replaced broken garage door spring and performed a general "tune-up" on the garage door. At my request, the single broken spring was replaced with dual springs.

The door hit my car that had rolled in reverse on one side of the 18' door. It appeared bent, off track and maybe with a broken spring. Richard worked to relieve the jam and in 1 hour it was working like it supposed to. Great response! Great work. Services Rendered: Came out at 8:30 PM at literally 35 minutes notice to unjam my commercial roll up door at my house. While he could have said "I'll do it first thing tomorrow" Richard knew I need help and responded in kind. I can't imagine any "BIG" company would do what Texas Garage and Door Opener did on such short notice. We worth the cost!

My commercial door in my house was starting and stopping midway through the process. TGD&O came out, spent about an hour, made a few adjustments and left. However the garage door was not doing what the call was about. (Like taking your car in for service and finding noting wrong was happening) The garage door continued to worked fine for about 15 minutes. It then happened again. I again called TGD&O. An appointment was made for the next day. TGD&O again came out, saw the problem, and fixed it The roll up door has never operated a s quietly as it does now. NO extra charges. Great job TGD&O!Tuned Services Rendered: Tuned up my commercial garage door at my house.

I called this company at 8:00 p.m. and immediately received a call back. They set the appointment for the next morning, arrived promptly, had the replacement parts on their truck, and the door was repaired within an hour! Services Rendered: I was unable to open my garage door when I arrived home. I immediately called Texas Garage Door who came out promptly the next morning. My garage door is approximately 30 years old and I was fully expecting a door replacement. Instead, Texas Garage Door repaired my door (replaced the torsion spring) and it was good as new. I'm sure when I need the door replaced, I will not hesitate to contact Texas Garage Door. Great customer service!

We arranged for Texas Garage Door & Opener to come between 3 to 5 pm on Friday, Aug the 10th to fix a broken spring on our garage with the potential to replace the entire system (motor, door etc.). No one showed up and no one bothered to call us. I called them around 5:15 pm and I was told to be patient, that her husband (The Owner) would be there when he could, but she couldn't give me a time. As we had plans for the evening, we cancelled with the idea to call back the next day. I figured that anyone could have a bad day, so the next day I called back and spoke to the same lady (owner's wife), but this time I wanted more info on the springs, particularly the gauge of the springs, which she was not able to provide. I thought it was ironic that she could tell me the price of everything, but not the specifics of the equipment, which was important to me. She then abruptly told me in a short, rude and unprofessional tone that they were too busy that day to help us out anyway and she recommended that we find somebody else. I had used this company twice before without any problems, but had only dealt with the owner, Richard. That day we felt that they had screwed up and wasted our day without any regret or remorse. I will never use them again.
