Yelp2For how much money I spent, I expected much more! I was told 6 to 8 weeks from the time of order to install. I hadn't heard anything from anyone so reached out only to find our door was there so I set up scheduling. The day of, again, no one reached out to discuss time or anything. The installer himself was very nice, cleaned up after himself, etc. He said they'd be back the following week to install the weather seal since the one he had was broken. To date, still no weather seal. I've called twice to get something set up and because the top panel has a bigger gap between than the other panels. They were to arrive today and still hasn't seen anyone. I wouldn't recommend simply because they were quick to take the money but their communication and willingness to finish the job is far from excellent!

Yelp5We needed new rubber seal on our garage doors. The rubber product they used was really substantial. Not only did they replace the rubber but also oiled the door as well. The service man was very nice but focused on his work and did not appear to rush. We are very pleased and would reach out to this company again.

Yelp4We needed the old Gene Pro (1990s) opener fixed, the rubber seal on the bottom of the door replaced, and a few screws on the keeper added, in addition to taking down a commercial-size door on an outbuilding. It took four visits, but they got the job done. My only complaint is that due to some broken up communication between their office and the service department, the work that could have been done in 2 visits (one part needed to be ordered), took 4 visits to complete and that 2 times out of 4, the workers showed up hours earlier before the agreed upon time. In the first case, I moved my virtual appointments to accommodate the worker, so he could do both doors. He agreed to call me after getting done with the first door (took him 10 min to take down a mangled commercial steel door) to make sure I was able to move my other appointments, but then left without calling me I assume, to take the metal to recycling. Dustin worked with me to get the 2nd crew come in ASAP, and they took care of the seal on the residential door, but left the door with the gap at the bottom, which should have been adjusted. The 3rd man picked up on it and brought the door down to close the gap, but failed to move down the deadbolt assembly, so we could no longer lock the door, when it was in manual mode (which we have to use during power outages). So, we had to have him come again. That was visit #4, and he came 1.5 hours early, which coincided with the visit of another serviceman that I called for a different repair in an entirely different part of the building - additional stress that we did not need to deal with. On the positive side: they got the job done; they fixed the old opener instead of having us buy and install a new one, as other companies tried, thus saving us some money, they charged us for only 2 visit out of 4, everyone from the office (Chelsey, Wendy) to Dustin (service manager?), to technicians, were polite and understanding, and overall easy to work with. We will use this company again.

Yelp5Had a great experience. Extremely happy with this customer service. Had someone out to take a look and rather than only looking at the main concern, they looked over everything with the garage door to make sure all was good. Will definitely be working with them in the future.

Yelp1Showed up, didn't ask me what was wrong, immediately said I needed a new $1500 garage because mine was old. Had a second and third opinion and both agreed I just needed a new $200 spring.

Yelp1We had contacted Overhead Doors and they sent out Dustin to do an estimate. He looked things over and gave us what was a reasonable estimate, so we scheduled the work a couple of weeks out after they could get the door in. We had an installation date and were to be home so we could let them in. They never showed up. We never got a follow-up or any call the following week. After a week and a half we left a couple of messages for Dustin but got nothing back. After a half week more we called the main office reception and asked about it. Their solution, "We'll have Dustin call you." So ten minutes later he called, unlike any time in the past couple of weeks. As of today he claims they'll be out tomorrow. I think we should send them a bill for the days off work due to their lackadaisical approach to business, wasting our time. Oh, update. Now they've rescheduled for next Monday. Final update: They did show up on Monday. The young guy installer (maybe early 20s) was exceptionally rude to my wife. He wanted to know why there was stuff in the garage in the way. Well, you were supposed to be here two weeks ago, we can't just leave all of our stuff out in the rain! He kept going and then the other guy (Brandon?) came in and had to cut him off. He had a cooler head and explained what areas they needed and helped re position stuff. In the end the door works. If that's all you're looking for, they can do it. The how and the when are up in the air. We would have rather done it ourselves than work with this company.

Yelp5I can't say enough about the awesome service I received from Overhead Door from the beginning to the end. I needed to update my garage door as my home is almost 20 years old and the current door wasn't sealing nor insulated so my garage was pretty much the same temperature as the outdoors. When I called for an estimate, I received it promptly and told them prior, I was interested in a few different designs (windows, fixtures, etc.) and in the estimate, Ryan (salesman) took a picture of the front of my home and placed each door on my home so I could get a "real" view of what it would look like. Once I selected the door, two weeks later Ryan (my installer) showed up on time and did a great job. I absolutely LOVE my door and my new opener. I highly recommend this company. I did request other estimates but am still waiting for the other business to get back to me on one question I had. Thank you Overhead Door! Great job!

Yelp5We experienced a defective garage door opener that had a couple of outages. After the second failure, OHD intervened with the manufacturer and got us a new unit. Their service was professional, attentive and very pro customer. We'll continue to rely on OHD for our needs.

Angi3Not so well. The panels were installed correctly. However, when the salesman came to give us an estimate, he never gave us a written estimate. He gave us a per-panel price and when I asked, "Bottom line, what will it cost to fix the garage door? He answered with the price of one panel. ($495 plus sales tax) When I received the bill, I called the salesman/installer who said the bill was correct and we misunderstood. He said he would talk to his boss about some kind of adjustment and get back with us. However he didn't call back and we made several phone calls trying to clear this up. Finally after the 3rd bill, I was finally able to talk to the owner who was extremely rude and threatened to take us to Court. I told him we had never been able to speak with him directly and since I was speaking in a civil tone would he please do the same. I asked him if it was their policy not to give written estimates and his reply was only if the customer asked for one. Immediately following the conversation with the owner, we did pay him the full amount. Since we had a bid to replace the entire door through another company for $800, we had no intentions of paying more to have this door repaired. I didn't think of getting an estimate when I believed the total due would be a little over $500. This misunderstanding would have never happened had we had a written estimate. The purpose of this post is to recommend to anyone doing business with Overhead Door: MAKE SURE YOU GET A WRITTEN ESTIMATE BEFORE HAVING THEM DO THE WORK. Angi4I am struggling with this review a bit as I feel this is a responsible, responsive company that did their best to make me happy, but the results were disappointing. My frustration stems from a small gap that appeared between the top two panels of a garage door following the initial installation. Overall, they did a nice job replacing the door, repositioning the existing opener, and cleaning up some loose wiring. The installers pointed out the small gap between panels and indicated that that should lessen or disappear when the new top weatherstrip broke in. Never happened. I called the company back and they sent another installer who said they would need to replace the top two panels, which they did. Problem was the gap increased and a new gap appeared between two other panels. The 3rd installer intimated that sometimes they just don't fit as flush as they should. I called my salesman back and a 3rd set of panels was ordered and installed by installer 3. He pointed out that the garage header was bowed, which didn't allow the panels to fit flush. Attempt 3 produced a slightly bigger gap, but eliminated the 2nd gap. Bottom line, the initial installation was far and away the best and I would have been fine with it if I had just been told about the bowed header. I decided to live with it after the 3rd attempt as it became pretty apparent I wasn't going to get the results I had hoped for, despite their best efforts. Services Rendered: Replaced a garage door
