This review is about the TCL Model # H25D44W Dehumidifier that I bought at Home Depot, paid $200 for, and broke 1 year later. I left a 1 star review on Home Depot's website, and they obviously scrub the reviews, because they never posted my review. After mine broke I did read plenty of 1 star reviews about this dehumidifier. Now if you go on Home Depot's website, and look this dehumidifier up, they are showing it as 4.8 stars and only 1-1star review, which is laughable!!! About the dehumidifier-run very fast away from this product! My old dehumidifier cost about $75 and lasted at least 15 years. My TCL dehumidifier was used in a basement, which has a temperature from 62-75 degrees, on level ground, etc. The reason I say these things is because these are the questions TCL asks you while they are trying to get out of honoring their 1 year warranty. Mine started leaking water just within 1 year after I bought it and, at that point, I didn't realize that it was icing up. I bought a new hose (which is run to a floor drain 10 feet away), and that didn't work. I cleaned the filter which was not dirty at all! I could not figure out what was wrong with it until I noticed it icing up. And at this point I called TCL to get it repaired under warranty. They ask you a bunch of questions, which I mentioned above, and I did check all of these things. After talking to someone on the phone for an hour, he finally said, sorry, there's nothing we can do about it since I was a month beyond the 1 year warranty. I said that it actually broke just within the 1 year warranty and he said sorry, there's nothing that we can do. Lesson learned! I told everyone I know who is looking for a dehumidifier not to buy a TCL and I will never buy a TCL product for as long as I live! It is Chinese garbage.

If I can give this home depot 0 stars, I would. We went there Wednesday last week to buy 12ft grand duch Christmas tree and decors, and to open up home depot credit card since we got a promotional offer for $200 if we sign up for it. But they didn’t honor it since we don’t have the letter with us, which is our fault. We just saw their store on our way back from our vacation so we decided to try if we could get the offer. The associate and supervisor right out said they could not give us the offer if we don’t have the letter, but we were promise that they will hold all our items until next day. So we drove again the next day, but to our surprise, they didn’t not hold our order and the ones we picked were back on aisles. Good thing no one bought them yet. BUT, the 12 ft Grand duch tree was already out of stock. They said there were two on stock the day before so the former associate really didn’t hold it for us. We were there for almost an hour because they couldn’t figure out how to order back our Christmas tree due to some system issues. They said it will be delivered today but still showing processed and hasn’t shipped yet. I called customer service of home depot and the associate told me to call the Frankfort store directly since she was also unsure why it was not showing on her end. So I called and the customer associate told me that it was out of stock, and also didn’t know how the supervisor/manager at that time able to get the order placed. It was still available online last week when we were there but the associate tried to help by ordering it on their end. I was really frustrated and now we don’t know if we can still get 12ft Christmas tree elsewhere. If we only knew, we should’ve ordered it online. The Home Depot Frankfort, IL killed my Christmas vibe this year. I will be cancelling their credit card as well, since I won’t be able to get the promotional offer anymore since they also kept the barcode for it last week after they ordered the “out of stock” Christmas tree.

Just wanted to compliment Virginia at the Frankfort Home Depot. We had a problem with a tractor delivery being damaged and she went above and beyond to help us. Frankfort did not have the tractor in stock so they found one at the Homer Glen store. Since they delivered it we were told to contact them. The Homer Glen store associate was rude and did not want to help us at all since it was purchased at Frankfort She also told us that no other stores had them in stock. When we asked her name, she hung up. Virginia at Frankfort found us one in the Orland store. We will ALWAYS shop the Frankfort store only!!!

Don’t buy their counter tops! Go to Lowe’s or a local provider. Avoid. Them for counter tops. Hidden costs and purposely structured to charge you more. The installers came out and measured with a laser identifying an up charge for a 3/8 inch variance across a nine foot counter. I paid the extra $600+ dollars to address and shim the variance. When they installed the counter they didn’t shim the counter to address the variance. When I asked the installers they said they did and all was good. The installers measured with a five foot level ( not a laser ). Measured for precision( laser to uncharged you ) installed for adequacy ( a standard level). I showed the installer my faucets. Again an up charge for an extra hole that was not needed. They suggested it might cost me an extra 250 for extra help to carry in the counter. ( the counter came in two pieces so I asked to be refunded). They try to find every way to up charge you on the counter. Find a better local provider or go to Lowe’s. Don’t be tricked.

Pretty standard Home Depot experience. Went well, got what i needed, and was in and out quickly. Ironically their corporate office issued a press release today saying that they would not increase prices because of Trump’s China tariffs … which is simply not true. Four of the five things i purchased today were all made in China and were significantly more expensive than the last time i bought the same items last Fall.

I don’t know what these people are expecting when they go to Home Depot, but let me what you can expect is the Home Depot. You can do it they can help. It’s not that they say they can do it and you can help help but no, you can do it and they can help and they do they help me and I did it and now it’s done.

I ordered a 1,800 tool chest from Frankfort. They said they had one in stock. After waiting for a half hour, they told me it was the floor model. I told them I don’t want a floor model plus it’s put together and weighs 800lbs. So they ordered one from the Aurora Home Depot. It was supposed to be there the next week. I called Frankfort they told me to call Aurora. My thought was why don’t you call them and get back to me. But! Nobody can do their job. So I call Aurora they told me the driver didn’t want to wait for another pallet to haul the box to me. So I wait another week. Now it’s been 17 days and they finally ship it to me and they ended up stacking them on top of the cabinet. The pallet must’ve hit the front denting it and almost went through the metal top. The manager at Aurora apologized and was going to send me a new one with a discount for my inconvenience. I told him I bought it from Frankfort tho. He said I would have to get in contact with them then. The manager I talked to didn’t apologize or anything. Now I have to wait for 5 DAYS for them to pick it up from my driveway which is even more inconvenience. I will never shop at that store or Home Depot again.
