Jake at Dover Doors was a great salesman. I walked into the showroom on a whim and said I was looking for garage doors and I don’t like change. He worked with me to get doors he was sure I’d love. He followed up with me and got them ordered with efficiency and patience. It was a shaky start with the door installation because somehow the doors were built an incorrect size. Dover came up with a temporary solution while my doors were being rebuilt. When the doors came in it was frigid temps and single digit winchills, but Joe and Corey, without a single complaint, installed my new doors. They were friendly, kind, and still apologetic for the mistake. I love my garage doors.

I found out about Dover through my home warranty company when I needed a new garage door opener. The technician examined my garage door & pointed out some issues that were left by the previous owner. As a result, he offered to give me a quote for a new door when I was ready. A couple of months later, I received a text from Dover offering a black Friday promotion, so I took advantage of it! From the first conversation to the final installation of my new garage door and opener, Dover Doors & Windows was excellent to work with. Jake (sales) was available and communicative throughout my process of getting quotes from multiple vendors. I felt that there was never an unnecessary upsell, rather information to guide me through the multitude of options. My garage, being of older construction, required some modification, which the installation team performed well. Additionally, I was going from a 2 door garage to a single door. Drake King and Joe Jackson were excellent to work with. Always respectful, efficient and timely, they completed the work as expected and it turned out great. The pictures speak for themselves. There are a many reasons I went with Dover, including the ability to finance the cost over 2 years same as cash in addition to having access to the Liftmaster brand, which was not available through other vendors I contacted. I highly recommend Dover for your garage door modification/installation needs.

John was a little hard to get ahold of. I had to call twice over the course of a week to catch him and get a call back. Once confirmed, he came out the next day, he was five minutes early, he had materials ready to go, and did the whole job, including garage door adjustments, in an hour. A great experience overall! Everything went very well. I called for a quote and left a message, which was very promptly returned within the hour. I asked him about replacing my garage door opener and springs. John offered to come out the same day to do the work, but due to my availability, we decided to schedule it for the following morning. He quoted me a set price for the springs ($130) and gave me a range on the garage door opener depending on what needed to be done ($300-$500). He ended up on the lower end for the total price of $515. He arrived early and very well prepared. He was very efficient and thorough in his work. It took him about 3 hours to do the entire job. He even reused some of the components from my old garage door opener that were of better quality than the newer openers. This attention to the quality was very much appreciated. I had left a message on the companys voicemail, and did receive a prompt call back.I did make an appointment, and asked the person if they needed directions. She said no, to just give her the address. I asked if they had GPS, she said yes. I gave her the address AND directions just in case. Appointment time was for 3pm. John called me at 3pm, and said that he was having trouble finding the house. I gave him directions over the phone, and he arrived late, around 3:25. When he got here, he said the person that set up my appointment had given him the wrong street name, but the correct house number. After he looked at the opener, we noticed that there was just one bolt and nut missing from the and quot;carrierand quot;. Not a big problem, just put the nut and bolt back ( which I had just found on the garage floor). It took maybe 5 minutes to fix it total. He did spray some WD40 on the springs, and greased the track. Maybe another 10 minutes total. Use this company if you are not busy, and can afford to wait for him to show up. The service was good, he is experienced with repairs, and is friendly and professional. Services Rendered: Put a bolt/nut back in the opener. Also sprayed WD-40 on the springs, and greased the track.

Spring on garage door on Sunday. Couldn't get the car out of the garage. Immediately went to Angies List to find someone to replace it. The first few company's were not in our area. Saw John Starnes name next and he was in my area so I decided to call him. First thing on Mon. I called, got a machine and left a message. Got a call back within the hour and was told he could be there by noon. I was very pleased with that and even more pleased when he showed up early. He went right to work and replaced the spring then he tested it and noticed that the chain was very loose so he tightened it up. It didn't take him over an hour to do all the work. He was the 3rd call I had made and no one else took the time to explain the differences to me, but John did.
