Google5Great experience with Gulf Side. I called on Monday morning because both remotes stopped working at the same time, even with fresh batteries. A friendly and helpful person answered the phone(!) and was able to send a technician a few hours later who quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. While he was here he also noticed a rusted and frayed cable that was close to failing, and replaced that as well. Extremely reasonable pricing, quick response, and professional staff. Will use Gulf Side again.

Google5I called yesterday and this morning two nice young men showed up, very professional, and quickly analyzed the situation. One hour later I had a brand new opener, button, and new remotes. The cost was reasonable and fair. This is the way businesses should treat customers.

Google5Through my own fault, I totally screwed up my garage door, so I called Gulf Side and scheduled an appointment. Brandon arrived and immediately figured out how to approach the issue and went to work. In no time, he had my garage door working better than ever. Thank you Brandon and thank you Gulf Side for saving my garage door!

Google1Unfortunately the worst experience of all time with getting a garage door opener installed. 3 months after install, the track came off the wall. When I called a guy out to fix it, he said it was the builders fault even though it was clear as day that this company didn’t put in long enough lag screws. He was very unprofessional while trying to fix the track. Answering phone calls, dropping tools, etc. He was trying to muscle parts together and cut corners as much as possible. Even asking for me to help him out lol. The worst part is that he broke his drill in half when he released the torsion spring causing damage to my top panel. His drill also CAUGHT ON FIRE inside of my house setting off all of my smoke alarms and then caught on fire inside of his truck. It was an absolute nightmare. All of this being said, I am now working with a different company to fix this guys mistakes and am spending $3,000 dollars to make these wrongs right. I wouldn’t ask this company to install anything for me if it was the last company on earth.

Yelp4Mark is knowledgeable and repaired quickly by just cleaning and adjusting some motion switches. Only problem was he didn't call me in the morning as promised to confirm the afternoon visit but I called him around noon and he made it about 1.5 hr later. An unrelated issue was finding his listing. Couldn't find by searching garage door in Alvin, although a lot of Houston companies masquerading as local get listed. Had to use paper yellow pages and look for a company with Alvin address - LOW TECH WORKS! (Not like Yelp which keeps telling me I haven't finished the review)

Yelp2Review is only because he led me on for a week that he'd do the job. I spoke with Mark a week ago asking to have an opener installed. He was busy that week but said he would call me Monday and do it this week. He didn't call on Monday. I called him Tuesday and he said he remembered me and would call me back at 5:00. He didn't call. His reviews were good (well one isn't really a review - they gave him 5 stars for recommending someone else - wish he had done that for me) and he seemed nice - so I WAITED for him to do the job. Plus there just aren't that many companies that serve this area. I cannot speak for his work - but I can give him an F in communication. If he couldn't do the job or didn't want to drive to Clute - that's totally fine - just say so and I'd have had it installed by someone else by now. I leave a lot of good reviews on Yelp and hate to leave a bad one - but I've wasted a week of my time because he won't do the job.

Yelp5We had 3 garage doors replaced in our 16 yr old home a couple of months ago. Mark was great! He got to the job right away and completed it the same day. He gave us the best price on upgraded doors and a terrific price- we LOVE our doors!!

Yelp5We desparately needed a new garage door installed quickly. I called Brazoria County Doors and spoke with Mark. We wanted them to install our new door. Unfortunately, they couldn't fit us into their schedule when we needed, so Mark helped steer me towards another company who came out and did a great job. Although we didn't get to use this company, we would have in a minute if possible. Mark was courteous and professional. I'd definitely recommend them if you're needing a new garage door or repairs.
