Yelp5So, one day my garage door opener started acting up. It would just randomly stop working and I'd have to get out of my car and get closer to it to get it to open. After a few times of this happening, I realized it only happened when I was trying to close the door. At first, I thought it was the battery, but my wife had already changed it. Then, I thought it was the battery again when our heater died and we had to call a repairman to come in through the garage. But even after changing the battery again, the opener still wasn't working. The problem was getting worse and we had to go inside the garage and stand right next to the motor to close the door. My wife thought I was being a smartass when I showed her how to step over the safety sensors. And let's just say, things have been a little tense between us lately. Anyways, the garage guy comes in, all communication through texts. He quickly figured out the problem - it was the lightbulbs! They were emitting a frequency that was interfering with the remote's radio frequency. So he removed the bulbs, and just like that the opener was working perfectly again. But the puzzle remained, I was so focused on the battery being the problem, I didn't think about other possibilities. It was because when we opened the door the light turned on and then it would start interfering. It made me realize that I had become a little too relaxed in my troubleshooting skills and wasn't asking the question of "what had changed?" like I should have been. This experience taught me a valuable lesson in the importance of thorough troubleshooting. Also, it reminded me that sometimes the simplest solutions can be the most effective, like changing a lightbulb. And sometimes we need experts to help us out.

Yelp5I was having trouble with my garage door opening all on its own after I change the Internet service. I so appreciate him getting to my house fairly quickly. I was leaving and was worried that the Bears could just walk on in. There was a couple problems with the garage door and I so appreciate Ryan sticking with it and getting everything taken care of so my garage is back in working order. I really appreciate his diligence in figuring it out and getting it taken care of as soon as possible. Thank you Ryan for your help I highly recommend Alpine Garage door.

Yelp5Some services are better to find through referrals rather than shopping by price. I have no idea what other installers charge for a new opener since Alpine came highly recommended by someone else who had work done. A few years back I had a terrible experience with another garage door company & now I'm really picky. Ryan is trustworthy, friendly, polite & very knowledgeable. I had a garage door opener from the 70's and it was broken & downright dangerous. He showed up on time, kept me in the loop over what steps were next & now I have a garage door opener I Love! Never calling anyone else.

Yelp5Our old garage door lift had a bit of a meltdown which fried it's motor and busted the springs. Alpine Garage came out the next day and although he was unable to repair the motor - he fixed the springs so we could at least open it manually and put a lock on it for us which allowed us to still use it while we waited for a new automatic lift. He also installed the new lift when I got back in to town. He had a few surprises with our wiring as the last home owner was a tinkerer - but worked through it safely and efficiently. Both appointments he was on time - actually closer to early! (that goes along way in Tahoe where everyone seems to be on "Tahoe Time" ) Highly recommend him based on our two experiences. Jacqui

Yelp5Five star on both customer and technical service. Ryan called back after work hours and came out the next day. He was on-time and wearing a mask during this COVID-19 pandemic. He had all the parts and was able to complete the repairs and maintenance on our wood garage door during the visit. We will definitely use Alpine Garage Door again for all our garage door needs. Outstanding job!

Yelp5Called and Ryan responded within hours. He offered honest solutions. When my door was ready, he installed it right away! After installing my new garage doors, he noticed that it did not run smoothly and quickly realized that a bold was missing from the opener parts.
