We were very pleased with Overhead Door company in Harrisonburg Va. They were very prompt for the service of my garage door. The company is very professional and most importantly they are very knowledgeable and they provide quality work to the customer. We would highly recommend to anyone.

We had 2 separate garage door springs break at 2 separate locations within a week apart. Both were late in the day. Both times this company and their technicians made certain we were up and running in a couple of hours. Thank you.

Had an excellent experience with Overhead Doors this past month--the technician, Stanley, was very knowledgeable and was able to replace our incorrectly-wired garage door. He was efficient and courteous, and I'm so glad our garage door finally works again. Recommend!

Had these guys come out and look at a garage door that FedEx driver dented and was told they couldn't get repair panels for the door . Got back in touch with FedEx and was told to get quotes to get it replaced so out of courtesy I called overhead door back to give them the business and was told thanks but no thanks. They weren't interested and the sales person just hung up on me . Lousy business ethics.

Well, it didn't start well, but it ended well. We woke up and our garage door wouldn't go up, the spring had broken, with both vehicles in the garage. We started calling garage door companies and on our third call we had the pleasure of speaking with Shawna at Overhead Door. She was very nice, empathic and very helpful. She listened to our dilemma and asked all the right questions. She told us that they would have a tech come out and at the very least get the door open so we can get our vehicles out, she wasn't sure the exact time because obviously all the techs were understandably on other jobs, but they would be out that day to help us. A few hours later Jordan showed up to assess our dilemma. He was polite, respectful, knowledgeable and most of all, eager to help solve our problem. He called another tech to come help because we have a single door for a two car garage so it's quite large and heavy! In about 10 minutes David showed up and in a matter of minutes our door was up and our vehicles were free! Shawna then called us back with an estimate on a spring conversion kit and installation. Once again, she was incredible and gave us what I thought was a very fair price. But, how long would we have wait to order parts, get on the schedule to get it done? THE NEXT DAY! Yup, the two brilliant techs, Jordan and David showed up the next day and installed the spring conversion kit for us. We couldn't be happier with the level of service and and teamwork that we witnessed from this company. I hope we never have this happen again but if we do we will only need to make one phone call, to Overhead Door. It's really a relief to find a company that you can confidently call knowing that they are not only experts at what they do, but experts at customer service as well! Great job Shawna, Jordan and David!!

Had hoped to get a door here because of my respect for Lowell Fulk, but will have to consider another firm now. I value loyalty too much, and I want a construction related industry to be about doors, not politics.

Receive an appointment for repair of our garage door the same day I called. Technician arrived at the time promised, was friendly, efficient, and quickly completed the job. The office staff were also very nice. Great service.

In August 2010, a $1,000+ garage door was installed by Overhead Door Company of Winchester, VA. By November it had sagged in the middle to the point that the metal brace and actual metal of the door was bent. In December 2010 we addressed the problem with Jessica Webber (the "General Manager" of Overhead Door Company of Winchester). When I initially contacted her by phone to explain we had a problem, it was clear that she had no intention of assessing the complaint with an open mind. For example, she immediately asked if the door had hit anything and I replied “no” (believing that to be the case.) She responded “M-huh” in a sarcastic, knowing tone. She asked if we had experienced strong winds and I told her (countering her sarcasm) that we had the same winds anyone else in the county had which I assume did not result in everyone’s doors being damaged. She sarcastically replied that “in fact, we have had a lot of wind damage calls.” She said she would send someone out. When I hung up, I knew not to expect that customer service was a component of Winchester’s Overhead Door Company. "Tim" that came out was very courteous. At that point, I had learned from my husband that the door had at one time closed on the bumper of his stationary pickup and we shared this information with Tim. Tim merely said perhaps the door needed more reinforcement and that he would talk with the General Manager who would likely work with us. I told him that it was not my impression that she would, based on her earlier attitude. Many days later, Jessica called and said they would replace the top section of the door for a bargain $350. I was not interested in paying more for a $1,000 door that we had for 4-5 months. I contacted Overhead Door Corporation's corporate office in Texas. Mr. Sendar there explained that Overhead Door Company of Winchester was an independently owned and operated distributor, over which the corporate office had no authority concerning repair of the door. He said he would call the distributor in Winchester and urge them to work something out for everyone's benefit. He called back confirming he had spoke with them and I should hear from them. I never did. The Corporate office sent a CYA letter to the BBB supporting the Winchester distributor's position that the door was damaged when it closed on the truck bumper, that office of course never having examined the door. In my 63 years of owning many garage doors, I maintain that the door should have made contact with the bumper and gone back up and that the damage was due to improper installation/adjustment. To avoid harm to my 2 year grandson, my 72 year old husband repaired the door with the help of a more reputable and professional company. The repair included installation of a stronger metal brace than that used by Overhead. Services Rendered: Installed a new double sized garage door.
