Google1I needed a replacement weather seal for one of my garage doors; not rocket science by any means but my knee is injured and cannot do it myself. Technician arrived 2 hrs late; told me the previous payment in full I made in mid-September (now December) for a different task was insufficient funds. We never were contacted and received no notice from the bank. He said he thought he could fix it and he would charge me $475!! Totally unacceptable and I asked him to leave, but he pushed the issue of the previous check. I called the bank who went back through 4 months of statements and verified that it was never presented go payment. $35 it will cost ME for a stop payment, and then I have to pay them again because they didn’t cash the check and admitted they didn’t know if they tried. BS!! Then he threatened to send his people back to take the parts!?! That I paid for!?! It must be a cultural thing to lie and try to make the customer at fault! Topping it off is the fact that the previous work was inferior and did not resolve the issue.

Google5I called American Overhead Door to replace a garage door motor. Just speaking with Todd I new they were the ones I was going with. The technician showed up on time and quickly went to work. Zachary worked tirelessly installing the motor. I could tell he knew what he was doing. He answered all my questions and picked up every piece of debri left behind. I highly recommend American Overhead Door.

Google5One of the best experiences I had with a contractor. He was on-time, professional, and answered my questions well. A bit pricey but it looks like the work is pretty solid. I would recommend this place.

Google5Do not look any further! We shopped around and American Overhead in Middletown was the best option out there. They were helpful every step of the way! We cannot recommend them enough. Great team and great products!! Before and after photo attached.

Google4I did some research on line and found the doors AOD installs were always in the top 5 of the reviews on line. The technicians that removed and installed the doors did a great job and were done in 4 hours removing and installing 2 doors and openers. The doors were an upgrade from what we had and look as nice as we had envisioned before making the decision to go with AOD. The new belt driven openers are extremely quiet compared to the chain driven openers. The openers have an app to control the doors. Had a little trouble setting them up for the family but eventually was able to resolve the issues I was having with the set up. We are glad we made the decision to install the doors and go with AOD.

BBB5First time in CT and needed someone to fix my overhead garage door. Used this company because I saw they were family owned. To me that means they have their finger on service and treat you like more than a number. They have done this from my first call to Ally until today's work was completed. Mr. Brion G****** was the representative that came out to do the work. He was very professional, explaining what was wrong, fixed it quickly, explained they would contact me for yearly maintenance. I asked for two cards before he left as I am going to pass this information along to my son who has five garage doors and doesn't have anyone to work with. So happy to see people who truly understand great service and outstanding customer service.
