Fantastic! Calvin came the same day called - said he was very busy but happened to be nearby. He quickly diagnosed the problem. He said that I might be able to get the replacement part free from the manufacturer of the system, gave me the info to call them and offered to return when the part arrived. I wanted the door fixed that day so I just decided to buy the part from him since he had it on his truck - can't get much more convenient than that. He fixed it quickly and my door was back in service. Calvin has worked on my garage doors previously and has fixed all kinds of problems. He carries a full stock of replacement parts on his truck so every time he has been at my home he has been able to diagnose and fix in the same visit. This man knows garage doors. His prices are reasonable and he is honest. Services Rendered: Malfunctioning garage door. Needed part replaced.

Mr White came as specified, performed a more permanent repair, and declined to accept payment. Services Rendered: In the wake of Harvey, my garage door became balky. Mr Calvin White suggested a temporary fix over the phone (which worked!) and said, having business in my area tomorrow, that he would come by.

See above--no actual work done. Services Rendered: The spring on my garage door failed. I called Bay Area Overhead Door and explained my situation. Immediately, I was told that I probably had Wayne Dalton doors (which I do). I was impressed. Their door spring system is more specialized and he recommended that I go directly to Wayne Dalton. I was very impressed with his knowledge and his honesty. He recommended that I first should get the spring information off a label on the spring so they could bring the proper spring to do the job, possibly avoiding a second trip. I followed his recommendation, but I certainly would consider him if I needed new doors or had a different installation. I appreciated his integrity, because he could have offered to totally replace the spring system with one of his choosing, possibly at a higher cost.

The work went very well. Calvin White called me back and we set up a time for him to come to my house. He diagnosed the situation and identified several problems including a broken garage door spring and mis-aligned door tracks. He even fabricated one component on site. His work was systematic and he did not cut corners despite the heat in the garage. Then he lubed everything. The door works beautifully now. I would definitely use Bay Area Overhead Door again. The service was excellent. Fix the garage door. It was better and stronger then new. Services Rendered: The two car garage door top panel was badly bent by the garage opener. Calvin replaced the required parts and hinges. He also adjusted the garage opener which was push down too far causing the door to bent. Highly recommend Bay Area Overhead Door (Calvin) to fix any issue you have with your garage door.
