Google1Very unprofessional. I called to ask if i could bring my dishwasher in for repair. They told me to bring it on in and specied all of their policies. I drove 25 miles just to be told they don't like to work on dishwashers. After talking to the tech and seeing the inside of their shop I was glad they didn't want to work on it. Go to Bud Block. They are professional and organized. Their busy but good.

Google1Worst customer service we've ever experienced. The technician was rude and dismissive when it became clear that the appliance purchased from Lowes was damaged. Not at all helpful in problem solving, next steps, who to call, etc. Angrily refused to return the appliance to Lowe's same day, so that we could work with them to get a refund/replacement. His whole attitude was "not my problem". The appointment was set up by Lowes so be aware.

Google5I looked here after my washer broke and found a very nice slightly used washer to buy. They were down to Earth, helpful and honest I felt. And I appreciate that they are repairing appliances for re-use instead of just putting them in the dump, which is already overfilled. They delivered my new/used washer and removed my old washer which will be repaired and resold.

Google1I am absolutely shocked at the flat out lies I was told when I purchased a dishwasher and microwave neither of which worked. I purchased both while building a house and was told that even though they had a 90 day warranty, they would take into consideration that we didn’t have an exact move-in date. I went into the store and found a dishwasher and above the range microwave. Both, I was told, were returns from a local big box store. Dale told me he did not have enough time to go through them but to come back in a week and he would make sure they were working correctly. I did so, purchasing both appliances. When installation time came, neither appliance worked. If they would’ve plugged them in, It would have been clearly evident that there was something wrong with them. And not surprising, they said they were out of their 90 day warranty. Now I’m out a lot of money and I have to replace both appliances. I will never direct anyone to this place of business. I wish I could’ve left zero stars.

Google5Our washer stopped working and we needed a new washer. We went to cates and they had a very nice fully refurbished, tested, cleaned and ready to be purchased and used front load stacking kenmore washer and dryer set. The price was very fair. We picked up and brought home the same day. They even made sure that they provided us with the correct stacking hardware knowing we would stack them at home. They came clean and working like new and I’ve been very much enjoying having a working, nice washer and dryer set again!

Google5Have used Cates Appliance for many years. I have bought new appliances and had Robert repair them when they’ve broke down and I’ve bought nice used when they are beyond repair. He’s very busy, and in these times has a hard time finding good help. If he doesn’t get back to you right away, call again. He’s only 1 man. Dale, has been his #1 employee for several years and is awesome. Highly recommend. 😁

Google1I went in there to purchase a washer dryer HE FRONT LOADERS, SAMSUNG. Within the 10 min of confirming via phone I'd be down to purchase and was assured, when I arrived they sold to another. A bit irked, they showed me a similar set for 500. I agreed and also needed a new fridge. The one I wanted wasnt working so after spending 850 dollars, I was content in my items. As soon as I hauled everything out of my house and hauled my own appliances kn, immediately the washer didnt work. Then the refrigerator wasnt cold. By the morning I had lost about 20p dollars of meat and groceries and my freezer was 48 degrees! It has now been over 2 weeks, and I have their broken fridge and my old fridge in my kitchen with no regard to rectify it. Also, still no washer!! I demanded money back and was refused. I continue to call, and no answer..and not even a voicemail! I'm appalled and have never been treated so poorly in all my life..and I'm from california!! I felt cheated and 2 wks later I'm put 850 bucks and still no appliances! They should be ashamed and reported to the Better business bureau!

Google1Stay away if you want good/any service!!!! It took over a week for the company to come and look at our dishwasher. When he finally came, a part needed to be ordered. Another week went by and I had finally had to contact the business which reported the wrong part came in and he gave some recommendations to try and fix it my self. Seven more days elapsed and again I contacted the business several times before I got a response. Finally I asked for him to be honest and tell me if he was too busy, which he finally did. I'm not sure if our job was too small or what, but now we are more than three weeks out with the same problem.
