Google5We needed some work done on the garage doors to our house so we called up A1 Garage Door Service as I’ve used them in the past. They sent out a technician (Tony Jones) who was very polite and explained our options for what we needed to be fixed. We ended up having pretty much everything replaced but the physical doors. He was at our house pretty much all day and got everything working smoothly so we can actually use our garages now. I have no complaints at all and would welcome Tony back to do more work at our house in the future.

Google5My garage was not opening although the motor and chain were active. A1 was able to schedule me in a 4-hour window and arrived within the first hour. A1 sent me a photo and link of the assigned technician prior to their arrival which was comforting. Brion Cain, A1 Technician, arrived and was thorough in his assessment and provided me with a walkthrough of the issue after repair. I appreciate the time Brion spent answering my questions and validating the work he performed. I know they are busy especially in the cold weather we are experiencing and this did not change his professionalism and making me feel valued as a customer. I took advantage of their maintenance package and hope to keep my home/garage worry-free. Thank you!

Tony jones is the technician that worked with me today. Right on time. Very professional and informative. Thanks for coming out and helping us on this freezing cold day. Definitely recommend Tony and A1 garage.

Google5Thanks John Weaver for doing a great job getting my garage door up and running again! He was great at explaining everything that needed replaced and why. Three new springs later and a few other parts, it was back up and working.

I had the same experience when I used them a year ago. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing garage door service and/or repair.

Yelp1The service technician/salesman offered a 0% interest financing immediately after scoping the project (two new doors and side mount openers). The website indicated a 0% as well. This is false advertising. After signing the loan docs I was shocked to find out that in fact a 17.99% interest was applied. I have called multiple times to clear up the issue and never get a return communication from their "finance managers". A1 is a bait and switch operator.

Yelp3I decided to use this place because they had high reviews and sent coupons. However, the guy that came tried to upsell me on all their products and then told me he wasn't the salesman. He said my garage doors looked 40 years old when the house was only built 20 years ago.. which was a sign that maybe he wasn't so knowledgeable in the first place. We needed our whole opener and springs replaced. Literally two weeks later, the garage was opening and one of the screws fell right off... I was able to just put it back myself thank god. A couple days later, I got an error message while closing the garage that the sensor was no longer I alignment.. I had to call you back to get it fixed and the guy that came this time said the first guy just barely had aligned the sensors in the first place so I guess they were off. Which was just annoying. On top of that I was charged $1800 for the first job which was completely way too much. I should've done more research myself because I could've gone to Lowe's and paid less than half the price but still had just a good of a job done. They really just added a shit ton of bullshit fees like mandatory trip charge ($40) and shop supply fee (for nuts and bolts $95). These are all overpriced. I do like that now I can control my garage door from my app but that's about it.

Yelp1Tried to get a salesman to my house to buy a new garage door. They cancelled the appointment. When I call back they wanted to charge me a fee for the sales call. Then the next time they had available was several days out when I wasnt available. Horrible customer service.

Yelp1They are nothing more than a thief with a business license. Three companies had quoted me $300 to $350 to replace the springs on my garage door. Since they had a coupon in the Valpack for $75 off, I thought I would give them a shot. My son was home and showed him to the garage at which point, the employee told my son he would have to order the springs and that it would be $700. My son then called me and i told him to tell the worker no thanks. I called Overhead door and they came out within two hours and replaced both springs for $354. I would never consider calling A1 for any needs. I called A1 back to let them know of the situation and they said they would look in to it but i believe this is the way they do business

Yelp4Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the technician, Ivan, went above and beyond to make things right!!!! Called for a quote, they wanted to send someone out to give me a quote, seemed like they really didn't want to give you an upfront price. So I passed and booked with a different company. 30 minutes later, I was contacted by a service rep who said she listened to the recorded call and felt she needed to reach out. She asked me if I had already went with another company. When I said yes, she told me that they'd like to offer a lower price than what I was quoted and also throw in a free tune up so I agreed. Called and cancelled the other service. When the tech showed up, the quote they gave me was apparently for the lowest grade Springs that only have a 2-3 year life. The previous company o cancelled on had a much better warranty. So Ivan called two different people and they ended up honoring the price but for the next grade up. They wanted to charge double what I was quoted!!!! Not sure I'll ever use A-1 again, but Ivan was fantastic!!! Very polite and did an excellent job of trying to make things right.

Yelp1Shame on you A1! A1c out yesterday to work on our garage door. They charged our checking account double the amount we authorized. When we called they said it was their mistake and would refund our account in 7 to 10 business days! Thirty seconds to take our money and that long to refund it! $695 is now tied up with their mistake! Shady!
