Hit the garage door opener this morning and after lifting a couple feet a cable broke leaving us stranded. Called Abcor and Darren said he could be over within an hour. A few hours later we had new heavier duty springs (our door is a heavy custom one) and we were good to go. It now probably operates smoother than new. Highly recommend Abcor and Darren- just a great experience.

We scheduled an appointment, he was on time, and did the repair in no time. We are very happy with the service! We would recommend Abocor to anyone, just as our neighbor did to us. I called asking some questions about having a garage door installed. I explained that the door was a complete unit purchased from a New return from a garage door reseller. As I was trying to explain what I had, the man got very rude. Asked questions which I provided answers to, proceeded to tell me that this is why I don't do these types of installs. I explained the unique situation, explained in detail what I had, and the man stated I'm in the middle of something and said he would have to call me back and then hung up on me. I tried calling back and would not answer and went into voice mail. I called on a Sunday thinking it would just go into voice mail automatically and I would just leave a message . Surprised someone answered. So, if you don't want to, don't answer on a Sunday. Or state that after answering and hanging up on someone. Very unprofessional to say the least.

This was a true 5 star rating for garage door opener installation. He answered my call on Sunday afternoon (star). The price he quoted was very reasonable (star). Scheduled to fix next day (star). Arrived on time (star). Installed new garage opener and cleaned up the work area (star). My garage door opener is very quiet and I'm pleased with his work. He is the person to call for the garage service. Project was: install garage opener for 8 feet garage door and new rollers.

My spring broke on my garage door and it was stuck in the down position. I called Abcor and Darren scheduled an appointment the following morning. He arrived right on time and had two new, and better quality, springs installed along with a tune up of the opener and door in under an hour. Most companies will try and up charge for the lube and tune but Darren included it in his already reasonable quote. Highly recommend.

Darren may be good at fixing garage doors but his driving leaves a lot to be desired. I watched him drive down my residential street today at 12 noon and was not impressed. Come around corner, stop, go, speed down street. This is a residential neighborhood and the drivers lack of concern for safety while driving bothers me. With no regard for anything except maybe his schedule he drove like a unsafe jerk down my street. I will never use this company because of his display of lack of concern for others when driving down a residential street.

I would never use again or refer to anyone I know, especially senior citizens, if you don't like being insulted and talked to like your stupid. Darren, who said he was the owner, did exactly that. He may be the cheapest in town, but don't let his gift to gab fool you. He'll boast how he's been doing this for 30 years, but question anything he did after he's paid and leaves the job can't possibly be the result of his work. He installed a new garage door opener last Thursday at my townhome. 2 days later I called him because hours after he leftmy door would not close automatically so I had to disconnect it and work it manually. All I heard on the phone from Darren were insults and how my problem couldn't possibly be his fault. He repeatedly placed blame on me for something I must have done. How's that for service after he already cashed my $388 check. I tried to stop the check to get his attention but it cleared within 24 hours of issuing it to him. Needless to say, I can see why Darren initially strikes you as a nice guy (he did me), but you'll see a total reversal if something goes wrong. Ultimately, I fixed the problem myself. No way did I want Darren back at my house, ever.

My parents garage door opener was not working properly and had lots of shaking from the ceiling when it did attempt to open. I contacted Darren and he came out as agreed. He was exactly on time. He recommended replacing the unit and we agreed. It was very old and wasn't worth trying to fix. Since then, they unit has run smoothly, it's much quieter, doesn't shake or anything. I'm happy I don't have to worry about issues with the garage door opener for many many more years!
