I called a few places to get quotes. I had the best experience here, from the person answering the phone to the technician. They were able to fit me in same day and the technician, Max, was friendly, explained throughly the work and what I needed done and got the job done very quickly. Family owned business that is local to my area and was priced extremely well. Best quote by far.

Jim's is great . from 1st call had a date and time set up with email photo of Austen Vail salesman/ tech. 2 days later. Once onsite showed options and quote with like 10 options in 5 min. Drove to office and put deposit down and 3 weeks later door was in.(because of thanksgiving and factory was closed). The very next day was installed. They came back and installed the weather strip because i was not ready for that part of install. NO CHARGE. They again sent out Austen Vail Salesman/ tech to double check the installer work and he didn't like the door seal looked . So they replaced again NO CHARGE . The follow thought and the commitment to customers needs. please dont waste time calling anyone else. As far as I'm concerned there is no other door company i have ever delt with that is even in the same ballpark. no wonder they have been around for so long There is not place else i would rather call about the about door service

We had to have an overhead garage door and service door replaced because of hail damage. The entire process went seamlessly. They worked with and around the siding contractors helping us also to establish who would be installing the trim. We could not have asked for better service and we are thrilled with the finished look of our doors.

Spring broke on my garage door on Sunday 12/21. Put in a request for contact on the website that afternoon and received a call back at 8am sharp on Monday morning and made an appointment for 2pm-4pm the next day. Repairman arrived 12/23 promptly in the scheduled window, assesed the situation, provided a quote and repaired the door on the spot (springs and rollers) in about 30mins. The door has never been quieter. Couldn't have been better, why can't everyone do business like this!

I recently had Jim's Garage Door Services come to replace my garage door and install a new garage door opener. The enitre staff from the Sales Rep to the Admin staff to the Technician that installed the door and opener were outstanding. They were thorough about detailing the enire process and removed all the old parts and door from my home. Furthermore; the door had to be custom ordered because of the size with this 1900 built home and was suprised on the excellent price and how fast it was delivered. I highly recommend them for service and equipment. Kudos!!

My garage door literally fell apart after 40 years. Thanks to Jim's, and their fantastic installer Brandon, we have a new door that's sturdier, better looking and A LOT less noisy! A definite number to call if you ever have a garage door problem. My wife had called me a couple weeks back while I was at work to let me know that she was unable to close the garage door. So once she had stated that to me I rushed home to see what the problem was, because we do live in Chicago and recently we have been having been having some crime happing with people stealing stuff. I found that the cable had wrapped itself around the garage door rod. So I unhook the door and rewrapped the cable. About a week in a half, same problem. So I did the same thing all over again. Was good for about two weeks. Just the other day while pulling into my garage seen the door closing off balance. Decided to look for a garage repair guy that would come out and see what it is he thinks. Went onto google, and Garage Doctor popped up. So decided to give him a call. He came out the same day that I called him. He took a look at the door and fixed the problem immediately. As well for he really takes the time to explain to you where you understand. Wasn't pushy on trying to sell me anything. Just straight forward and honest. And the price was acceptable. So for my recommendation, I'd say give this guy a call. I'm happy. Oh yeah!, and he guarantees his work for six months. If the problem happens again you'll come out and fix it free of charge.

We have used Garage Doctor before, so I called him today because I needed all my cars and remotes reprogrammed. I specifically asked him to come at night after my husband was home with his car. He came and did the job in 5 minutes and didn't want to charge us - we insisted because he came out of his way to help us, but I thought it was very nice that he didn't want to charge us! Will definitely recommend and use him again!

Our garage door buckled and would not go down! My son found Garage Doctor and spoke with Mustapha about the problem. It was 4:30 in the afternoon and I didn't know what to do and couldn't leave my garage door open overnight! Mustapha came out within a 1/2 hour and explained that the door was 25 years old and needed replacement. He was able to stabilize the door and lock it overnight. He then replaced it the very next day! The door is up and works and matches perfectly!! Excellent service with a smile!!:)

Excellent service! Mostafa went out of his way to explain and take care of a number of issues with my garage doors. He was polite, knowledgeable and had a great, positive attitude. I was in roselle this morning on bloomingdale road and this psycho driver was speeding and cutting off cars. He wanted to pass me but was unable to so he got behind me and rode my tail. He was finally able to get around me and tore off doing about 60 in a 30 zone. I doubt he had an emergency call that would warrant such driving. If that's how he represents the company I will definitely go elsewhere if I need my garage fixed.

Garage door motor stopped working. Called them at 2:30pm, they had a guy out here by 6pm, same day, on a day that it was snowing. Within an hour the guy assessed the problem and replaced the motor. Great customer service, very responsive, great job, very happy. Hopefully I won't have a need to use them ever again, but if I do ever have an issue in the future, this will be my first call. Very unprofessional and we total got scammed, and we overpaid for the tiny job we had done. The guy gave me a different price on the phone. And when they arrived, they started the work, before verifying the price. And he pretended like his English was "not well." And the price for the job was totally expensive. We called the manager and he have us some money back.... But not enough, we got scammed! Do not use them!!!! Soooooo disappointed! I learned my lesson with this place! :(

When we called, got Mo on the phone and he was nice and helpful in reviewing the issues we had with our garage door. We called on a Wednesday and got an appointment on the next day. The nice gentlemen (didn't catch his name) who came to service the issue (spring broke and door wouldn't open) was super quick, professional and best of all, came when they said they would. Price quoted on the phone was the price we paid, so no surprises there that can sometimes happen. Overall great experience and would recommend.

The Doc said all i needed was to lubricate. He lubricated the tracks and showed that after 3 attempts the door went down. The door did this even before the lubrication. That was it. An hour after the Doc left, I had the same issue. Didn’t ever bother calling the Doc. DIdnt want to pay for another house call. Services Rendered: I needed the springs aligned due to the door binding on the way down.
