Google5Phil came to house and reviewed my garage doors and openers, 25+ years old. Decided to have new garage doors and openers installed. We have used Koehlinger before at another residence with good results. After waiting a while longer than expected ( for weather to warm up) our installation was completed in one day. Tom, the installer, is 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Installed, explained everything easily and extremely professional from start to finish. Very happy with products and overall experience

Google5We just had our garage door replaced by Koehlinger Garage Door. Phil came over same day, gave us an estimate on repair and new. We decided to go with new since it was the original door. Tom came out a week later and replaced our door in the freezing cold but got it done! Everything works great! Very happy with everything!

Phil was was very helpful and informative right from the start. Tom was our installer and I am extremely pleased with his quality of work and attention to detail. Google5One of our 20 year old openers quit working, and we were given 3 companies to call for quicker service than our 'usual' provider. Phil responded first, and was out within a few hours. We ended up replacing 2 motors, and both garage doors (one was damaged years ago). We feel we got a good deal, and we have noticed already that these doors keep the garage warmer! Definitely an upgrade from our builder's version. TOM elevated the experience: he worked like a mule, and had the patience of a saint when reviewing the new opener use, and recommending preventative maintenance to keep the rollers working well. Highly recommend Koehlinger Garage Door Service.

Google5We are completely satisfied with our garage door purchase/install through Koehlinger. Phil was great in diagnosing issues with our 25 year old door, and suggesting options for us to remedy the situation. We chose to go with a new door and opener installed at what, I feel, was a very reasonable price. Glad we did! Tom was the installer for our new door/opener. Great guy! Fast, clean install, and a thorough explanation of how to use our new equipment. I would highly recommend this outfit for garage door work!

Yelp5Phil came to the rescue after my husband broke our garage door after an ice storm. He repaired, inspected and made sure everything was well oiled and working properly. This wonderful man even replaced my burnt out light bulb! As a senior, climbing a ladder is difficult. I would definitely recommend him.

Yelp5We just moved in to our house and the garage door motor started smoking, we called Koehlinger on a Sunday and Phil called me back within an hour. Phil came out on Monday to give a quote and was incredibly helpful. They installed our new open that Wednesday, I was really impressed by how quickly and professionally everything was handled. Tom installed the opener and did a great job, it only took maybe 2 hours and he was very knowledgeable and explained how everything worked and how to maintain it. I highly recommend! Professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and quick!

Yelp5Phil came promptly to look over what trouble I was having. He takes the time to explain the cause of my problem and showed me some things wrong with my garage door that I hadn't noticed. He did a quick assessment to give me a quote on replacing the door and my first question is of course, "when can this be done?" He made a phone call and arranged for that afternoon. WOW! The installer, I believe his name was Ron, came a little before the promised time. That's cool because I'm sure we've all had to wait due to issues. He started immediately and had the old door and tracks out fast. He stays at the job and finished not only quick but accurate work and cleaned up everything immaculate. As expected, the door is whisper quiet and the job site is perfect. Thanks for doing a great job and in a timely manner. I highly recommend these guys to anyone need garage door work done.

Yelp5During last year's Polar Vortex, when it was - 50° below zero, my mom couldn't get her garage door shut. She frantically posted on a local FB page asking for recommendations. Phil, owner of Koehlinger Garage Door, came out at 10-something o'clock that night and fixed everything. My mom couldn't have been more thankful and has rightfully been singing his praises ever since. Enter my experience: I put an offer in on my new home, and realized that the garage door was the original (1963) manual door. The home inspector also noted some dangerous components, so I had to have it remedied. My mom reached out to Phil to see if he services the western suburbs. Thankfully he does! Phil was friendly and communicative throughout the whole process. Before our appointment date, he reached out to me a few times to discuss the project. He also requested photos. Additionally, I provided him with a picture of the inspection report and the home inspector's recommendation. Even before meeting him, it was clear just by speaking with him that Phil is a genuine guy. When he arrived for the consult, he did his inspection, gave his recommendation and pricing, and checked his stock. (FYI I was able to choose from a variety of colors and window/non-window options.) I was able to place my deposit that day, and received all of the accompanying paperwork about the garage door. One of my uncles was present during the consult, and commented to me afterwards that Phil's prices were very fair. The garage door itself was ready to install a few weeks later. Phil's guy (forgot his name!) was able to do the install whether I was present or not, which was super convenient. The job was done thoroughly and the before/after was a huge difference! The appearance is much improved. I am loving the fact that I have a keypad and it comes with a substantial light. There are further bells and whistles with the "smart" garage door, and I have yet to peruse those features, but I like that they exist! I am completely satisfied with all aspects of my experience: from communication and overall customer service, to the cost, install, and actual product. I highly recommend Phil and Koehlinger Garage Door!
